Lauren noticed the unusual smile on his face.
*Well, a client just had his payment made”
He replied.
“And till now, am still wondering what type of job you do. Even when I ask, you refuse to tell me”

Alex replied and held her hand. He looked at her eyeballs.
Lauren also looked at him.
He brought his head closer and tried to kiss him but Lauren pulled her head away a bit.
Alex felt embarrassed. He held Lauren’s face.
“Do you like someone else?
He asked again for the second time. He knew Lauren tried to escape his question the last time he asked.
“And why is it necessary you must know?”
Lauren asked.
“Because I think am falling for you”
Alex replied with a sincere look.
Lauren couldn’t keep her laughter.

She asked. “Isn’t this part of your plan with Mr George?”

“You and Mr George had planned this all out right?”

“No, we didn’t… I didn’t want to come here in the first place, I had no choice because Mr. George holds my secrets and he is using them against me”

Alex replied and stood up. He seems vexed and angry. He walks away as Lauren watches her.
Lauren felt guilty as she sighed.

Alex isolated himself in the bedroom and refused to come out for hours. It seems like he is very angry and not pleased with Lauren. Lauren also couldn’t swallow her pride and apologized. She just sat in the living room expecting Ethan’s arrival.
Her expectations were shortened after a knock came on the door.
“Come in, Ethan”
Lauren said slowly. Ethan walked in and noticed everywhere was quiet and silent. He kept wondering what Lauren wanted to speak with him about.
“Hey”
Lauren said and pointed to a seat behind him.
“Have your seat, please”
Ethan sat down gently. He looked at Lauren.
“Is everything okay?”
“Everything is okay… Don’t let my text scare you, am fine.
I just want to have some words with you”
She replied.
Ethan smiled when he thought maybe Lauren could talk about their relationship, sort out their issues, and get back together.
“And what do you want to talk about? Am all hears”
Lauren faced him.
“You want to get back Linde Plc for me right?”
Ethan nodded.
“I don’t think there is a need for that”
Ethan was disappointed at first. Lauren didn’t call her here to talk about their relationship.

“They should have it, I just want peace of mind and to be alone”
She replied. Ethan stood up and walked to sit beside her.

Ethan said trying to muster up the fighting spirit in her.

Mr. George and Luke are stronger, it’s better to just let it go”

Ethan smiled seeing Lauren wanted him to stay. He decides to turn it down at least to get revenge for the heartbreak Lauren caused her.

He said and walked out of the door. Lauren muttered a word but Ethan couldn’t hear before he walked out.
Ethan stopped at the front of the door and wanted to go back in and hug her but stopped again.
“No, let her feel the pain this time around… am tired of being submissive to her feelings and mood”
He said and walked out of the compound.

Lauren came out of her bedroom and noticed Alex was in the living room watching TV. She smiles.
“Finally, he is out”
She muttered and walked to the living room.
Alex saw her and took his eyes immediately away from her facing back at the show displayed on the tv.
Lauren walked to him and sat down beside him.
“Am sorry”
She said. Alex kept quiet. He didn’t say a word.
“Am sorry I made you mad, I was just frustrated and angry also”
She added.
Alex still didn’t say a word.
“Is that the reason why you kept yourself in your bedroom for hours?”
“No, I was actually busy with something”
He finally said something.
Lauren smile.

She apologized again.

Am going to prepare dinner”.
He said and stood up from the cushion. Lauren pulled him back to his seat and kissed him.
Alex was surprised. The kiss got intense but Lauren didn’t mind. Alex kissed back and held her head to kiss her properly.
“Oh gosh, it’s happened…
Lauren thought as they continued with the kiss.
“I don’t know what came over, I just felt attracted to him today, I felt I should have him in my arms.
Maybe I have feelings for him?? Did I do this because I was just in the mood?
Different thoughts ran across her mind.
Alex wasted no time. He pulled off his clothes and went on top of her.
