Seeing that he had knocked someone down,
Delrico quickly brought his car to a halt,
unbuckled his seatbelt, and leaped out of the
vehicle with his glasses in hand. The summer
breeze ruffled his hair.

Leona lay unconscious on the ground, her
pristine white gown sullied by the dirt of the
road. Delrico knelt beside her and brushed a few
stray hairs from her face. Her skin was cool to
the touch, and he could feel the faint pulse of
life beneath his fingertips.

“Looks like I’ve caught myself a runaway bride”
he mumbled amusedly, knowing very well who
she was.

Leona’s eyes fluttered open, and the realization
of her dire predicament flooded her senses as
soon as her vision cleared. She found herself
bound to a sturdy wooden chair. Disorientation
gripped her, and she glanced around with
confusion etched across her face as she
attempted to make sense of her surroundings.

With a defiant surge of energy, she strained
against the restraints, the chair groaning in
protest as she desperately attempted to free
herself. It was then that Delrico made his
entrance, nonchalantly munching on a slice of
pizza, as if he hadn’t a care in the world.

“Were you born dumb, or did that blow to the
head knock your cerebrum loose?” He jested, a
smirk playing on his lips.

“Release me!” Leona demanded.

Delrico leaned against a nearby table, crossing
his legs casually. “You’re no longer in your
castle, Princess. There are no guards here to
obey your commands.”

Fury coursed through her veins, and she
redoubled her efforts to break free from her
restraints.

“Take these d@mn chains off me right now!” she
yelled in frustration.

“Aren’t you the daughter of a mafia don? Show
me some movie tricks” a sardonic grin tugged at
the corners of Delrico’s mouth as he settled into
a chair opposite Leona.

“I’ve always heard tales of the Montanari
family’s intelligence, but your display of idiocy
today tells a different story” Leona retorted,
secretly working her hands free from the chains
behind her.

In a swift and unexpected move, she managed
to break free and lunged at Delrico. They
crashed to the floor in a tangle of limbs, and
she aimed a punch at him, but he was swift to
parry her blow. In a matter of moments, their
positions were reversed, with Delrico now on
top.

“No lady stays on top of me” he declared with a
self-assured grin.

“Then Guinness should give me a record for
being the first” Leona countered, her smirk
mirroring his own as she rolled over to regain
the dominant position.

“My Ç0çƙ is renowned for giving rewards”
Delrico quipped.

“I don’t f-__-k dogs!”

“Dogs don’t f-__-k ladies of your caliber either” he
shot back.

Shocked by his audacity, Leona attempted to
slap him, but he caught her hand and pulled her
closer, pressing his lips forcefully against hers.
A battle of wills ensued, with Leona biting his lip
in defiance, and he retaliating with a reciprocal
bite.

“You taste exquisite, Senorita” Delrico
whispered, licking her slightly bloodied lips.

“You’re a maniac” Leona hissed, glaring at him
h@ťěfully.

“A certified one” he smiled creepily, embodying
a dangerous charm that left Leona both
intrigued and infuriated.

The air in Mr. Pedro’s house hung heavy with
tension and the unmistakable scent of chaos.
Every object within those grand walls had borne
witness to the wrath of its owner, from the
shattered vases to the splintered furniture. It
was evident that violence was a frequent guest
in this opulent residence.

Not only inanimate objects endured the brunt of
Mr. Pedro’s anger; the bodyguards who had
ventured out in search of Leona returned empty-
handed, and tragically, they paid the price with
their lives, mercilessly cut short by bullets.

In this storm of anger and unrest, Slice dared to
approach the irate Mr. Pedro. He took cautious
steps, fully aware of the gun clutched tightly in
Mr. Pedro’s hand.

“Excuse me, sir” Slice ventured.

“What!?” Mr. Pedro’s voice thundered, and he
swung around to face Slice, his gun poised
menacingly.

“Sorry for my intrusion, but Mr. Sebastian sent a
message, requesting you to send all his money
back.”

Mr. Pedro’s temper flared even further. “Tell that
bastard to hold on. His wife will be found and
returned to him” he bellowed, his voice echoing
through the lavish halls.

Just as his anger peaked, something
unexpected happened. Mr. Pedro’s once-robust
health suddenly failed him. He clutched his
chest in agony, the pain intensifying by the
second. Violent, hacking coughs wracked his
body, and then, without warning, he collapsed to
the floor.

“Don?!” Slice called out in alarm as he rushed to
Mr. Pedro’s side. It was a scene of sheer panic
as he cradled him.

As Mr. Pedro continued to cough and sputter,
Slice saw something truly ominous. Blood
began to pour from his mouth, staining the
pristine tiles beneath him. It was a gruesome
sight, and Slice knew that they were facing a
dire emergency.

“Don’t just stand there, call the doctor!” He
shouted at the maids standing nearby, and the
maids scattered to carry out his command.

A few of the maids remained behind to help
Slice lift Mr. Pedro’s limp body. Together, they
carried their fallen employer to his bedroom.

Staring at the numerous pictures of Gavino
posted on the wall, a masked figure stepped
forward and extended a gloved hand toward
one particular picture, drawing an ‘X’ over the
image with a sharp, red marker.

“Congratulations, you’ve just completed level
one” the person muttered and glanced at the
next picture of him, which had ‘2’ boldly written
on it as well, and released a mischievous smile.

“Hope you’re ready for the next?”

The training arena buzzed with the sounds of
intense conversations and the clanging of
weapons as mobsters practiced their ski||s. It
seemed like just another typical day until an
ominous figure entered – Gavino, the ruthless
and feared boss, with his salivating hyena
restrained by a heavy chain.

As Gavino made his way to the center of the
arena, a hushed silence descended upon the
crowd. All eyes fixated on him, eager to
understand the purpose of his visit. A junior
mobster quickly brought him a chair, and he
settled into it with an air of authority.

“Why is he here?” Nevio turned to Ryder and
inquired curiously.

“To perform his normal ritual” he replied.

Kendra approached Gavino with Elmira at her
side, and the two women offered a respectful
bow. Gavino, temporarily setting aside the
smoking pipe in his hand, turned his attention to
Elmira.

“How good has she gotten?” he asked.

Kendra answered with pride, “Much better than
when she first started.”

“I will be the judge of that” Gavino declared. He
exchanged a meaningful glance with Ryder, and
he immediately understood his unspoken
command. Without a word, Ryder left to carry
out the assignment and returned with a young
girl whose hands were bound, forcibly dragged
to the center of the arena. The girl appeared
dirty and bruised, bearing the signs of harsh
treatment.

Elmira watched the girl with a mixture of
curiosity and dread, wondering what was about
to transpire. Kendra handed her a pistol, and
Elmira glanced at Gavino, seeking guidance.

“Entertain me” Gavino grinned, his intentions
clear. Elmira gulped, comprehending the grim
task at hand. She cast a sympathetic look at the
terrified girl, who was crying and shaking her
head, begging for mercy.

“No, please don’t” the girl pleaded as tears
streamed down her face.

“Boring” Gavino muttered, feigning a yawn. The
tension in the arena was palpable.

“What are you waiting for?” Kendra snapped at
Elmira.

“I can’t do it” Elmira said, and the gun slipped
from her shaking hand. An uproar of murmurs
erupted throughout the crowd.

“She’s a goner!” someone proclaimed.

“Obviously!” another voice chimed in.

“Someone grab a shovel and go dig her grave”
yet another mobster suggested callously.

Kendra, frustrated and humiliated by Elmira’s
hesitation, stormed towards Elmira angrily,
ready to inflict punishment, but Gavino
intervened.

“Don’t you dare lay a hand on my property in my
presence” Gavino’s voice was loud and cold as
he shot Kendra in the right arm.

Kendra let out a sharp cry and fell to her knees,
clutching her wounded arm.

“I’m sorry, Don. I got carried away” she pleaded,
trying to appease her enraged boss.

Flame watched the scene with clenched fists.
Her hatred for Elmira deepened as she
witnessed the ruthless power play unfolding
before her.

Gavino took a deep breath to regain his
composure, his icy demeanor unwavering.

“Give her the gun” he ordered, referring to the girl
Elmira was supposed to $h00t. Ryder, following
Gavino’s command, retrieved the weapon and
handed it to the girl. With a malevolent grin, the
girl took the gun, and her demeanor
transformed from a trembling victim to a willing
executioner.

Elmira watched in disbelief as the girl whom
she had hesitated to $h00t earlier now held the
weapon firmly in her hands. The arena held it’s
collective breath, and then, as Gavino raised his
hand and brought it down, there was a
deafening gunshot, and she fell lifeless to the
ground.
