Lauren asked again. He walked to her slowly as
Lauren also move back slowly also.
“If you get any closer to me, am going to call the
cops”
She said getting scared.

“And why will you call the cops on your
husband?

Lauren scoffs.
“Husband?

“Yeah…. Am Alex, your husband ”
He replied and put his two hands in his pocket.

Lauren burst into a hard laughter.
“You must be funny”
She continues to laugh finding it hard to believe
what he just said.

Alex just took his phone from the bed and
walked to the living room.
Lauren watched him walk out of sight.

“Am I dreaming right now?
Please someone should wake me up if I am”
She said to herself and followed him.

Lauren asked.

“That baby in you… Do you think you are going
to take care of that alone?”
Alex asked making a joke but he kept that joke
unnoticeable putting on a serious look.

“Wait… How did you know about the baby?
Lauren was more confused and dumbfounded.
She walked to him and asked again.
“Who are you?”

Alex sip his drink slowly.
“I thought I already told you who I was”
Look, we are going to take care of the baby,
don’t worry.. we are in this together”
He smile and pat her shoulder lightly.
“If you don’t mind, I need some time alone”
He said and stood up again, ready to leave
when Lauren held his hand.

“Did you rape me?

Lauren asked and was about to cry.

Alex muttered disgustingly.
“Women and their fake tears… Will you please
let me be”
He released his hand from her grip.
Mr George walked in just immediately.

Alex blurted out at Mr George.

Alex groaned and walked inside.

pregnant without knowing who the father is…
And I know what damages it can cause to your
career, your fame, our entire family and I care
about this family so much, am the only father
figure you have right now and I know what’s
best for you so the only way we could solve this
problem is to bring Alex in as your husband”

“But I don’t want this… I know you are doing all
this for me but I will handle them myself”

“Didn’t you understand the shame that will be
brought into this family.

Ellie walked into the administration office.

Jessica replied and roll her eyes at her when
Ellie looked away.

Stephan, can you go with the recovery
department to get back some debt the Starlight
company is owing Linde Plc?”
Ellie asked.

“This is the third time am going with them now..
. Can’t they find a better man to put on that
department?
Why must I help them every time?”
Stephan complained.

“You are I both know you are the only male
worker working in Linde Plc before Ethan came.
The job the recovery department are assigned to
is a man job”
Ellie replied.

“Then tell boss to employ some male workers to
that trash recovery department”
Their department is as useless as anything”
Stephan said.

“Just like how you are useless to yourself and
the company”
Ethan cut in.
He face Ellie. “If I get you right, the recovery
department only job is to recover debt from
other local companies owing Linde Plc”

“Yeah….
And because they are all females, some
companies do bully them using their thugs or
securities”
Ellie replied.

Ethan said.

“Are you sure? The duties assigned to them is
kind of tough
Even Stephan also got fed up”

Three females from Linde Plc walked into
Starlight building. A local company run by a
gangster in the State.
Two security men stopped them at the entrance.
“What do you all want again?”
One of them asked.

“We are here to see your manager….
This company is owing a debt of $200million to
Linde Plc”
One of the females brought out a file and shove
it at the security’s face.

“What’s the difference between you ladies and a
debt collector?”
The other security asked.

“No difference, but am sure our wages are
definitely five times more than yours..
A company like this owing debt will definitely
pay you securities mearge wages”

“Well say all you want but you ladies are not
entering in here”
A huge fat man walks to them.
“What’s going on here?
He asked.

“They are here again”
The security replied.

“Leave them to me, you can go back to your
duty post”
The huge fat man said. They left and he face
the ladies.
“I will warned you all to go back to Linde Plc, we
are not ready to pay back our debt”

“Can I see your manager?
One of the ladies asked.

“No…
Leave now before we throw you all out”
The fat man said and five other thugs from
inside came out.
“Go back now, we are warning you”

“Guys, I think we should go back to Linde Plc…
Miss Ellie will understand”
One of the ladies said.

Ethan came out of the car parked outside and
walked into the building.
He saw the ladies he came with and walked to
them.

“C’mon… What’s taking too long?”
Ethan said standing in front of them.

“Huhm, Mr Ethan… We just have a little problem”
One of them said and pointed to Ethan’s back.
Ethan looked behind him and a saw the huge
fat man with four other guys at his back.

“Can we be let through? We need to see the
manager of this company”
Ethan said.
Everyone of them burst into laughter.

The huge fat man faced the ladies.
“I guess he must be a new employee in Linde
Plc… He doesn’t know the drill and rules here”
“Will you all leave now before we throw you all
out?”

“We are not leaving”
Ethan said with all courage folding up his arms.

The fat man felt attacked with the strong
stubborn look on Ethan’s face. He wanted to
give Ethan a resounding slap on the face but
Ethan was quick to hold his big fat hand,
manage to twist it 360 and gave him a kick on
his Ďïčk.
He groaned and knelt to the ground holding his
Ďïčk between his legs. Other guys saw what
happened to their boss was surprised how
Ethan handled a fat man like him.

Ethan walked in with the ladies behind him… He
successfully walked into the building.
Other thugs ran off, the securities at the gate
were also surprised.

Ellie was surprised when she saw the Star light
Plc paid their debt through the company
account.
She couldn’t believe it.
The Star light Plc has given Linde Plc tough
times in repaying their debt.
One of the biggest issue the recovery
department can’t solve.
Ethan and the three ladies of the recovery
department came in with smiles all over their
faces.
Ellie walked to them still surprised.
“How did you guys did it?”
She asked.

“Well, all thanks to Mr Ethan baker here”
One of them replied.

“We recovered the lost money and also I did
make sure I collect an interest of $50million
more for delaying the payment”
Ethan said and hand over some big cash in a
small bag to Ellie.

Every other employees clapped for saving the
recovery department.
“How I wish you stay at the recovery
department?”
One of the ladies said.

“No, Miss Beth, he can’t… He belongs to the
administration department”
Ellie quickly said.
“Jessica and Stephan needs him”

“Thanks for your help, Mr Ethan”
The ladies appreciate him.

“Am only helping the company…
He smile and walks away.

Ethan walked in and Jessica rushed to hug him.

Jessica said still hugging her.

Ethan tried to remove her arms round his neck.
Jessica went back to her seat.

Ethan also sat down. He looked at Stephan, he
seems he doesn’t care…
His eyes was just focused on his computer in
front of him.

Luke sat down feeling the fresh breeze of the
environment. He wore sunglasses and was
reading a magazine near the swimming pool.
Lucy came out of the house in his sweatpants
and jumped into the pool, splashing some water
on Luke.
“Hey…

“Sorry…
Lucy apologized and continue her swimming.

Some seconds later.
“I think am the father of Lauren’s baby”
Luke suddenly said. Lucy paused swimming.
She came out of the pool and face him.

“Are you out of your mind?”
Lucy asked.
