It was already midnight when Lamia woke up,he opened his eyes and found Natasha sleeping beside him,she must have fell asleep while watching him.
He sighed and covered her with the duvet before getting out of bed. He got out of the room and came out through the suite’s balcony,the moon was Standing stagnant in the dark cloud.
It was a very cold night but not for Lamia,he stood there,staring at nothing in particular until his mind started drifting back to what happened earlier.
“How am I supposed to let her go if she keeps coming to my aid this way?” He asked himself.
*I see you’re back to your sense now* Dagon said.
*Where have you been?* Lamia asked.
*You let us out yourself,you weren’t thinking. You need to learn how to control this mate bond of a thing* Dracula said.
*Do you think it’s that easy? He’s the one Making things hard by having divided mind* Loki said.
*How did Natasha knee what was going on?* Lamia asked,ignoring their argument.
*I went into her head and spoke to her* Dagon replied.
*You spoke to Tasha?* Lamia asked ,looking surprised.
*You should know you Can’t mate with Heaven this way,you both need to come to a conclusion and know when it would happen naturally* Gorgo said.
*I’m not going to do that* Lamia said.
*You won’t have a choice if you keep loosing control each time you’re with her,why not start from growing the bond together with her?? Even though you’re trying so hard to control and suppress your feelings,mate bond will never lie,you still care about her* Dracula said.
*I want to show granny that love can overcome any mate bond I’m feeling at this point,don’t worry,I will take care of it* Lamia said and shut them all out before going in.

NEXT MORNING**
Natasha woke up and let out a sleepy groan,she checked her side and no sight of Lamia,then she heard the sound of the shower in the bathroom. She got down from the bed and put on her shoes,she was almost done when Lamia came out.
“What the f-__-k!” Natasha screamed and immediately turned away.
“By your expression,someone might mistake that I am naked right now” Lamia muttered.
“You’re half nak*d,what are you saying?” Natasha snapped.
Lamia raised his brows.
“Are you shy?? Or….you think if you look at me,you might want to do something crazy…. ”
“Shut up and put on some clothes!” She shouted.
They both heard the alarm and Natasha gasped. .
“I still need to take my bath” Natasha said and ran out.
Lamia couldn’t control his laughter.
“Why is she acting like she’s innocent when I know she’s a baddie?” He muttered.
*How is she a baddie?* Dagon asked.
*What are you thinking in your head?* Loki asked
Lamia scoffed and walked into the dressing room which Artemis had filled up with clothes.
“Is this a modeling school or something? Or she’s trying to apologize for slapping me using all these?” Lamia muttered,searching for what to wear.
After getting dressed,he walked out of the dressing room,on getting back to the bedroom,he met Thatcher and Eugene laying on the bed like lost bears as the spread their arms and legs in the name of sleeping.
Lamia sighed and shook his head.
“Can I come and stay with you?” Eugene suddenly sat up.
“No” Lamia replied.
“Why? Because I’m not Natasha?” Eugene asked.
“Stop saying rubbish and let’s go” Lamia said and Thatcher groaned before getting up.
“I wonder if they finally got something for us” He mumbled,the three of them walked out of the suite.
They walked into Damon,Ruben and Cash also on their way to the control room.
“Hey young master” Damon grinned.
“With a touch of beast” Cash mocked.
“Hey” Eugene almost bounced on Cash but Lamia dragged him back.
“Let’s go” He said. .
“I need to teach these dummies some manners at least..ahh…” Lamia grabbed his ear and walked away like that with Thatcher.
“Is he seriously calling me a dummy?” Ruben touched his chest.
“He called us all a dummy,what are you saying?” Cash snapped.
“He must have thought we are together,we all met on the way,so what are you saying?” Ruben scoffed and walked away,leaving Damon and Cash.
“Why did you say that?” Damon faced Cash.
“What are you talking about?” Cash asked.
“The beast of course,do you have to mention it that way?” Damon groaned and left him.
“So now I’m at fault?” Cash ran after him.

HEAVEN’S ROOM**
“Do you have a misunderstanding with Lamia?” Cat-Girl asked,she was sitting on the bed while watching as Heaven got dressed,Luna on the floor walking around the room.
“It’s not even a new thing anymore” Heaven muttered.
“It’s all because of Natasha” Cat-Girl scoffed.
Heaven sighed out as she finished packing her hair.
“She’s not existing to me,so no matter what happens,Lamia is mine.” She stood up.
“Are you done?” Cat-Girl asked and Heaven nodded.
“Hey Luna,see you later” Heaven carried Luna and the cat made a sound.
“Coming back soon” Heaven kissed her and dropped it.
They went out.
“Should I just give you the cat? You love it more than me” Cat-Girl chuckled.
“Cats are better than witches at some point” Heaven scoffed when she saw Natasha. They walked away.
“Is that Ɓîtçh talking to you?” Winter asked looking so annoyed.
“She’s right anyway,cats are better than me,coz they have nothing to think about,I wish I’m a cat” Natasha mumbled.
“Are you crazy?” Winter asked and Natasha nodded,they both laughed.
“We should run,we are late already” Natasha said,running.
“Hey!! I was waiting for you!!” Winter shouted but Natasha didn’t wait so she also ran after her.

CONTROL ROOM**
As If it was planned,all the girls came in at the same time,the boys were already there with the two masters,master River and Master Lilith.
“Why are you all so late?” Master Lilith asked.
“I’m sorry I woke up late” Speedy and Skylar said at the same time.
“When the f-__-k did they became so close?” Bryant muttered beside Ruben.
“Take a seat” Master River said and they immediately did.
Minutes later,Master Liam came in with Artemis and everywhere became silent.
“This mission before us is not something we can do all at once,we need standard and strong steps to be able to overcome,y’all are nothing compared to the beast so we have to move smartly this time around” Artemis said.
“So,we’ve decided to start by knowing the beast’s weakness” Artemis said and they all exchanged glances.
“If the beast is Lamia’s father,wouldn’t Lamia be his weakness?” Ruben asked.
“So are you saying we should give Lamia to the beast?” Eugene asked.
“I’m sure nothing would happen to him though” Chase said.
“You think the beast is in his right state of mind to even recognize Lamia as his son? Let’s use our senses here please” Summer said.
“Silence!” Artemis shouted.
“Like she said,the beast might be Lamia’s father but that doesn’t mean he can’t hurt him,unless he smells his blood but at this point,I don’t think he can bother smelling his blood since he’s covered and blinded with revenge. So the first stage is finding his weakness” Artemis said.
“So,how do we find the weakness you’re talking about?” Heaven asked.
“Lamia,what do you think your weakness is?” Artemis asked and all eyes fell on Lamia.
Lamia shook his head.
“I have no weakness” He muttered.
“Think well son,the answer is clear” Artemis said.
Lamia breathe in and kept on thinking until his eyes suddenly widened,he looked at Natasha for a second but then his eyes moved to Heaven.
“Heaven?” He asked and everyone gasped.
Only Eugene,Natasha and Summer aren’t surprised.
“That’s right? Your mate,is your weakness” Artemis said and everyone gasped again.
“Mate? Heaven and Lamia?”
They kept on whispering.
“So you’re saying the beast’s mate is probably his weakness also? In a word…Lamia’s mother?” Natasha spoke up,ignoring the commotion going on.
“In another word,the reason why he became a beast” Lamia added to what Natasha said.
Artemis looked at Natasha who also maintained eye contact with her.
“You’re right” Artemis said to her.
“You think Lamia’s mother is still alive?” Sadie asked.
“According to the book,the beast existed decades ago” Winter said.
“It’s possible they are immortal and he met Lamia’s mother few years ago” Natasha said and Lamia smiled.
“That brain of yours” He muttered inwardly.
“Natasha is right,he was immortal until he met the human who he fell in love with,meeting with his doom” Artemis said.
“So….how are we going to look for her?” Eugene asked.
“Anyhow” Artemis said.
“I will leave that one for you to discuss” She added and they all nodded.
“Follow the need of Lamia and do everything he suggests,take your time before making a move,report to me when you come up with something” Artemis said and all the masters went out with her.
There was total silence for about ten minutes before someone broke the silence.
“What are we doing first?” Sadie asked.
“Since she’s a human,I am hundred percent sure that she’s in Greene City” Natasha said
“What if she’s not? Greene City isn’t the only pkace she can stay,what if she run away after discovering about the father of her child?” Heaven asked and everyone seems to reason with her until Natasha spoke up again.
“She’s a human like the goddess said,humans have soft heart more than we can imagine. Even though she must have abandoned Lamia in the woods,she definitely gave her reason,she can’t go far away from her son,I’m so sure she wouldn’t leave her son in Greene woods and they run out of the city,she might loose hope of seeing him again but at least she would want to stay there” Natasha said.
“I think Natasha is right” Winter said.
Everyone waited for Lamia to talk.
“We can split then” Lamia said and Faced Heaven.
“Where do you think she might be if she’s not in Greene city?” He asked and Heaven smiled.
“What city is next to Greene?” Heaven asked Thatcher who was already operating the computers.
“It’s a small village at the city outskirt,only widows and people with no family stay there” Thatcher replied and Lamia nodded.
“There’s possibility” He said and Heaven nodded.
Natasha sighed.
“So what are you planning? Splitting?” Eugene asked.
“I don’t think all of us should leave the villa together” Natasha said.
“Why?” Heaven asked.
“No matter what,the villa should never be empty” Natasha stood on her word.
“The goddess will be the one to decide that not you,stop acting like the leader” Cat-Girl scoffed.
“She’s only bringing a suggestion,what have you contributed since we started?” Eugene asked and Heaven rolled her eyes.
“I don’t know if that’s necessary but I will ask” Lamia said.
“So,are we really going to split? I don’t want what happened the last time happen again” Sadie said.
“Maybe if the goddess choose the people going for the search,we can then decide to go everywhere together” Lamia said and they all nodded.
“Are we done? I’m hungry” Skylar said.
Lamia was the first to leave,Heaven followed him.
Natasha sighed seeing that.
“Are you okay?”. Eugene sat beside her and she nodded.
“I wonder why you are now nice to me these days” She muttered.
“Should I stop?” Eugene asked.
“No don’t” Natasha said and he smiled.
..
“Hey” Heaven grabbed Lamia’s hand and he faced her.
“Are you okay?” She asked and Lamia nodded,he gently removed his hand from her grip and Heaven bite her lips.
“Did you do that because you don’t want me to touch you or because you might loose control again?” She asked.
“Because I don’t want what happened yesterday to happen again Heaven,try to reason with me at least,your questions are….gosh” Lamia sighed.
“I’m just worried,am I not allowed to be worried at least?” Heaven asked.
“When I needed it has passed,so stop this show of yours” Lamia muttered and walked away.
Heaven stood there,staring at his back till he was out of sight. She fold her fist and walked directly to Artemis’s suite.
……….
EVENING★NATASHA’S ROOM**
“Gosh why am I so tired?” Natasha muttered as she finally got to her doorstep,she wanted to go in but somehow she felt strange.
But nevertheless,she entered,the door closed and immediately the whole room was covered with dark smoke,it’s not just a smoke,it’s black magic.
Natasha tried to clear the room using her power but she couldn’t,she immediately rushed back to open the door but it wouldn’t open either. She held her throat as she started becoming breathless,she began coughing out blood.
Then Artemis appeared in the middle of the room,Natasha moved back.
“This is just a preview of what will happen if you keep going after Lamia that he doesn’t get the chance to notice or think about his mate,vow now that you will let him go and stay away from him” Artemis said.
Natasha was crying as she kept coughing.
“Vow!!” Artemis yelled.
“I’m sorry…..but……..I’m also……in love with him…..badly” Natasha said and Artemis’s eyes widened.
“Even while in pain…you still have the gut….”
“I can’t stay away even if I want to…….so just ki|| me” Natasha said and Artemis couldn’t believe her ears.
