“Get dressed”he finally said
Lila’s eyes widened immediately”you will take me there? This night?”she was amazed he accepted her request
“Maybe I should leave then”he pointed towards the door.
“No. I’m sorry”she quickly apologized.”I’ll get dressed”
Lannon walked to the bed and sat on it”I’m waiting”
“You’re gonna watch me dress?”she clutched tight to her nighty jacket, suddenly feeling hot and when she saw he wasn’t moving, neither was he going to reply her, she sighed and moved to her wardrobe, picked a flare skirt and a simple top. She went into the bathroom and quickly changed.
Once she got out, Lannon stood up and walked out while she followed soothe.
“By the way, why are you still on suit. Don’t you get tired of wearing it?”she tried to start a conversation as they got into the car.
“Be quiet”he hushed her
Lila quickly mimed zipping her mouth. She didn’t want to do anything that would make him change his mind. She was glad she’d be able to see her mum after such a long period.
As the car sped off, Lila couldn’t help but think about her best friend. Hell knows, Samantha would have gone haywire just because she was missing. She felt really bad. She turned to Lannon,
“Hey, I need a phone”she stated.
Lannon laughed immediately. This girl always found a way to make him laugh”miss Steele, you do know you’re my hostage?. Such nerve to demand for a phone” he smirked
“Well I do know you ki||ed by father and I did nothing wrong to you”she yelled.
“Be quiet!”
“Certainly not! I want a phone”she yelled the more but she got no reply after wards.”Hey mister”she waved to get his attention but he didn’t budge.”I said I want a phone”she got no reply still.
She decided to be quiet. Talking to him was a waste of time and she really was tired of yelling. She figured being stubborn to him wouldn’t make anything better.
Finally, they got to the hospital. Lila was quick to alight from the car. She ran to her mum’s ward room, while Lannon waited for her at the hallway.
Lila was in there for an hour and Lannon only cursed inside him for really listening to her request.
Her mum was still unconscious, she had an oxygen mask worn on her nose. The doctors said she was getting better that she could wake up soon.
“Dad is dead mum. You’re the only one I have left. Hurry and wake up”Lila’s face reddened but no tears came out of her eyes. Lannon sighed deeply as he stared through the transparent glass part of the door. He knew what it felt like to be without parents.
Once Lila came out of the ward room, she told Lannon she had to see the doctor in charge of her mum’s care. He let her go while he waited.
When she entered into the doctor’s office, the doctor was really glad to see her. But the way she ran to him immediately, shocked him. It was like, she was being chased by her worst fear.
“Doctor save me. Please hurry and get me out of here!”she shivered as said those words.
“Hey. Lila I need you to calm down. Tell me what’s going on”the doctor was more than confused.
“I don’t have time to explain anything. There’s a guy waiting for me outside. He ki||ed my dad and kidnapped me. Hurry and do something”she begged as she kept tugging to the doctor’s coat. Though she wasn’t crying but the fear was clearly visible on her face.
The doctor though confused decided to do something”okay fine. I will help you. But what guy? He kidnapped you?”he asked
“Yes and he also…..”she was interrupted by a knock on the door. She stared at the doctor intensely”that’s him doctor. Please don’t let him in”her eyes dilated.
“Lila if you don’t tell me what’s going on, I can’t help you”the doctor furrowed his brows in confusion.
“I…I….”she was interrupted by the knock again. She looked towards the door before looking back to the doctor”please …”she begged him.
“Miss Lila…” Before the doctor could complete his statement, Lannon barged in.
Lila ran with quick speed and hid behind the doctor.
“Hey mister, I never said you could enter”the doctor stood up, holding Lila behind him firmly.
Lannon looked at him”Callus. It’s been a year now.”
The doctor who was about calling security raised his head and looked at Lannon closely “oh my God. Lannon is that you buddy?”
Lila was now over confused. Her fright and fear had turned into excess confusion. What? They know each other?
