We ran. She ran because she knew her dad’s life was at stake or maybe she was just being delusional. Either way she knew she had to run after her dad who was also running. Running from a group of people who he knew was definitely going to ki|| him.
“Dad!!!”Lila screamed.
They were at the top floor of one of her dad’s hotel. It was situated by the east sea side of Florida. The hotel was known for it’s fabulous sea view and beautiful horizon settings. Due to all the running, Lila, her dad and the group of people chasing after him had reached the open balcony at the top floor and one could clearly see the clear waves of the sea.
The breeze was gently blowing the anxiety that kept stretching in the atmosphere as Lila’s dad,stood, his hands on the air like he was surrendering while a gun pointed maybe towards him or…..wait!….there was another man there and it was just then Lila realised that he’d been running too.
She was standing behind the group of people who held out their guns so she couldn’t clearly see who they were pointing at. Was it her dad, or the unknown man?
“Dad, c’mon let’s leave here. Who the hell are these people!”Lila screamed.
She was raging but she felt no one was listening to her. Not even her dad. He didn’t even notice she was there. Why was he so scared. He’d done nothing wrong and besides this people were illegally holding guns. She searched for her phone to call the police but she wasn’t with it. $h|t! She’d left it on the reception counter.
“$h00t!”she heard a male voice and before she could realise what was going on, the sound of the gun blast had reached her nerve system.
“Dad?”her voice was now shaky as she pushed the group of people aside just to have a proper view but she couldn’t find her dad. The tears that had already clouded her view didn’t let her see the unknown man lying on the floor in a pool of blood.
She raged. Her heart couldn’t just take what happened. Where was her dad? Just few minutes ago she was happily laughing with her dad as he took a survey of the hotel and now, she didn’t even know where he was. Did they push him off the rails of the balcony? Christ!!
Her eyes was now blinded with rage. Her anger blazed and she stormed towards one of the man among the group of people and since they were all covered up properly in black clothing and face masks. She couldn’t see their faces properly. She grabbed the man’s collar immediately and it seemed she’d angered the rest people because they all raised their guns towards her.
“Y’all $h00t me! ki|| me just like you did with my dad!”she screamed. She wasn’t scared again what else could she live for. Her dad was gone and her mum had been in coma for four years now “oh, you don’t wanna $h00t again?”she scoffed. Tears slowly trickled down her cheek. “I will make y’all suffer. If you don’t $h00t now and I end up making it through this day, I’d hunt and ki|| each one of you!”she bawled, literally making empty thr_@ts” I said $h00t me!!”she gripped the man’s collar tighter and the rest of the men raised their guns again but no one pulled the trigger.
Lila gave up. Her grip on the collar loosened and then she fell to the floor coughing out blood. She was suddenly weak, she couldn’t breathe well. They all looked at her in confusion but no one made a move towards her.
“I’ll ki|| y’all”her voice trailed off and then she blacked out. Was she dead?
