“Hey, seize her!” Devon ordered and two men dashed forward and grabbed Hazel by her arms.
“And you, clean this place entirely and leave no traces. Go to our hideout after you are done. You should stay with him,” Devon pointed at another two men then move out of the way for the guys holding Hazel to pass.
“Hey! What happened here?” Tara, the receptionist half screamed as soon as Devon stepped out of the room.
“What are you doing here? Are lurking around because of your money?” Devon asked, walking away.
“Come on, wait up. I can’t run. What happened in that room? The girl was covered in a pool of blood. What the hell happened in that room?” Tara grabbed Devon firmly by his arm.
“Just pretend like you didn’t see anything,” Devon answered.
“How can I do that? I am the receptionist and I will be questioned for what happened if my boss happens to check the surveillance video,” Tara whined.
“You have my number, right?” Devon asked and the lady nodded her head.
“Then give me a call if anything should come up,” Devon removed her hand from his gently, then walked away with the rest of the men trailing behind him.
“Tsk, who does he think he is?” Tara blew the hair that covered her face with her mouth.
“But he’s cool anyway,” she giggled slightly.
“You have my number, right? Then give me a call.’ Wow, he is totally my style!” Tara jumped up excitedly as she clutched her hands to her chest.

Melanie had just fed Flynn with porridge when the door burst open and two men rushed open. Flynn creased the brow, wiped his mouth as he watched his men trembling in fear.
“What is going on?” he asked and the two men fell on their knees immediately.
“B…boss, Miss Giovanna has been captured,” the first man swallowed hard.
“Good. Then what is wrong?” Flynn asked again.
“Actually, when we arrived at her room, she used Beverly as bait to stop us from getting her,” the second man said with fear evident in his voice.
“How did she use Beverly as bait?” Devon asked.
“S…she placed a knife on her neck,” the first guy answered.
“Then how did you get Hazel without Beverly getting injured?” Flynn asked.
“We are sorry, boss. Miss Giovanna stabbed Beverly in her chest. Devon was quick to $h00t her hand as she made to stab Beverly again,” the second man said as he bowed his head.
“What!? Hazel stabbed her daughter?” Flynn stood up while everyone in the room widened their eyes in surprise.
“Yes, sir. She is in the hospital and has been wheeled to the operating room,” the first guy answered.
“Where is Devon?” Flynn ran his hand through his head.
“He took Miss Giovanna to the hideout,” the second guy answered.
“Okay, you may leave.”
Flynn ran his hand through his hair in confusion. He could not believe Hazel could be so cruel to her daughter. Didn’t she birth Beverly? Because there was no way a mother would do that to the child she brought into the world with pain. He felt a hand around his arm and he turned to look at Melanie who had a worried look on her face.
“Did Hazel really stab Beverly?”
Flynn cupped her cheeks in his hands, smiled at her then nodded his head, “Yes.”
“I can’t believe she could be that inhuman, how could she do that to her own daughter?” Kyle shook his head.
“I can’t believe it also,” Elle shook her head.
Tyler and Melinda had just left for home. While Flynn had forced the woman to go home, Tyler had received a call from his client.
“Kyle, get Doctor Hudson. I am getting discharged,” Flynn said to Kyle who stood up immediately.
“Babe,” Melanie whispered.
“I will be fine. I need to handle things myself. No one must get hurt on this matter again,” Flynn stroked her hair gently.
“I understand, but…”
“Don’t worry, I won’t leave if the doctor says I can’t. Okay?” Flynn said and Melanie nodded her head.
After a few minutes, Doctor Hudson entered with Kyle.
“Doctor, can I get discharged now?” Flynn asked.
“According to the test we just carried out, you are okay. But you need adequate rest,” Doctor Hudson answered.
“I will rest after everything is over. I have things to do at the moment. By the way, a girl was rushed in some minutes ago. How is she?” Flynn asked.
“Do you mean the girl with a stabbed wound?” Doctor Hudson asked to confirm.
“I can’t say for sure. She is being operated on at the moment,” Doctor Hudson answered and Flynn nodded his head.
After the Doctor had left, Kyle went to the closet where Flynn’s belongings were kept and brought out a cloth he had prepared for him to where any time he woke up.
“Will you go home?” Flynn stared at his wife.
“No., I will stay with Beverly,” Melanie answered as she watched Flynn walk into the inner room.
“God, this is too much,” Melanie groaned as she strolled towards Elle.
“All will be well. It is just a matter of time,” Elle smiled as she pulled Melanie to sit beside her.

Hazel glared at Zach that was tied afar from her and wished dearly her look could ki|| the sleeping man.
If this horrible man hadn’t put her up to all of this, she might still be the woman Flynn loves. This bitter old man just came in to ruin everything just because of his own revenge!
After a while. Zach opened his eyes and it was quite evident on his face that he was shocked to see the Italian woman.
“Guess who we have here,” Zach said, his voice hoarse.
“You uncircumcised bastard! Everything is your fault!” Hazel screamed.
“It is not my fault you also had the root of wickedness in you before I approached you. Don’t blame it on me, you had something like that in mind also,” Zach spitted as he glanced at his men that were tied together at a corner.
“I had something like that in mind? I was once a girl who loved her man dearly before you came to me!” Hazel yelled and Zach laughed loudly.
“You were once a girl that loved her man dearly? You could have rejected my offer then, better still report me to him. But no, you were wicked as well,” Zach laughed which angered Hazel the more.
“I am not wicked, you took advantage of my vulnerability,” Hazel retorted.
“Your vulnerability? Girl, you are so funny,” Zach scoffed.
“I will tell Flynn everything. He is a forgiving person, he will forgive me. I am very sure of that,” Hazel nodded her head miserably.
“Of course, he will. After everything you did to his wife, he will!” Zach laughed.
“You might not know, Flynn loves me very much. He’s just very awkward at admitting it,” Hazel growled.
“Of course, I love you very much,” Flynn stepped in with a very intimidating look on his face.
“Flynn!”
“He is alive?” Zach muttered.

Back at the hospital.
Elle, Melanie, and Kyle stood in anticipation as the light that indicated that surgery was going on in the ICU turned off.
The surgeon came out a few minutes later and stood in front of the troubled people.
“Who is the guardian for the girl inside?”
“I am. I…I am her mother,” Melanie nodded her head.
“We’ve successfully carried out the surgery on her. She is unconscious at the moment but should wake up anytime soon. We will move her to her private ward. Please do watch after her and let’s know if there is any movement from her,” the doctor said and they all nodded their head.
“Thank you so much,” Melanie said as the doctor walks away.
Maybe when after everything is over, she will legally make Beverly her own daughter. Melanie sighed.

“Flynn, I will tell you everything, just promise you will let me go,” Hazel cried as she tried to free herself.
“You will tell me everything?” Flynn raised a brow as one of his men entered with a chair for him to sit on.
“Yes! I swear, this old man put me to all of this. I never wanted to,” Hazel shook her head miserably as strands of her hair fell over her face.
“Uhm…” Flynn nodded his head as he settled on the chair.
“Look, I know you still love me. You just don’t know how to admit it, right?” Hazel smiled and Flynn smiled back.
“Interesting,” Flynn muttered.
“Please, Flynn. Perdon me. Everything was all Zach’s plan, starting from when I conned you till now. Zach planned all of them!” Hazel shouted.
“Bîtch! Don’t you dare try to make things worse for me!” Zach screamed.
“Hazel,” Flynn called out softly.
“Yes, my love,” Hazel smiled desperately.
“Tell me everything. Who knows, I might spare you,” Flynn smiled as he removed the long sharp blade from the purse with him.
“Flynn…” Hazel shook her head as she stared at the knife.
“Tell me!” Flynn shouted, his loud voice sending an echo across the large building, which made all guards turn to look back at their intimidating boss.
“A…actually… Beverly… Beverly…” Hazel stammered.
“What is wrong with Beverly?” Flynn tilted his head.
“S…she is not my daughter!” Hazel closed her eyes in total fear.
Flynn glanced at her then at Zach who swallowed deeply.
It makes no sense at all.
If Beverly is not her daughter, then is there a way she could be his daughter?
“I don’t understand you. How is she my daughter when she is not yours?” Flynn creased his brow in confusion.
“She is not your daughter either,” Hazel bit her lower lips.
d@mn, she is done for!
“What?!” Flynn stood from the chair, bewildered.
“I… I stole her from her birth mother,” Hazel added with a very deep bow.
“What?!” Flynn exclaimed.
