“Doctor!” Melinda rushed forward as soon as the doctor that was treating her daughter came out of the closed door.
“Doctor, how is she?” Elle removed her hand from her mouth.
“I’m afraid, I can’t say for now. As you might know, she is pregnant and the chance of losing the baby is very high as the baby is barely hanging. Also, we might need to flush her womb for a quick recovery,” the doctor announced.
“T…that can’t happen,” Elle shook her head.
“The substances she was drvgged with had a great effect on her and the baby. She might have a problem carrying a baby later in the future if proper care is not taken,” the doctor said and everyone inhaled deeply.
For Melanie to be fine, she needs to let go of the baby.
Wow, very cruel.
“So, what should we do?” Melinda wiped her tears.
“The guardian needs to fill the agreement form that the patient’s womb could be flushed.”
“Mum?” Kyle glanced at Melinda and nodded his head at her.
“I am her mother. Where is the form? I will fill it. My daughter needs to be fine,” Melinda hits her chest.

While in the car, medical personnel treated Devon’s wound while they headed to their hideout. Zach and his men were in the car ahead of the car Devon was.
After his wound had been bandaged, he grabbed his phone and made a call across to the other men.
“Did you find her?” Devon swallowed hard as he wiped the sweat off his face.
“No, but I believe she is still inside Los Angeles.”
“Declare her wanted. Spread the men and go to the airport, she must not leave Los Angeles. Search everywhere for her. Her phone has been turned off, so we can’t track her. Make sure she doesn’t leave LA,” Devon ordered.
“Yes, sir.”
“Good,” Devon said and ended the call.
He cursed inwardly at what had happened, his boss was surely going to be disappointed at the loose security. A lot of things happened while he was sick and Devon blamed himself for it.
Now that things had happened the way it was, he was going to catch Hazel before his boss woke from the coma.

Hazel paced to and fro inside the hotel room she had lodged as she tried to think about the next step to take to get out of the mess she was in.
She was the biggest føol ever and she knew. How the hell could she forget that the car she just purchased could have been caught on the CCTV footage and the car dash camera before she drove it to the Harlan mansion.
She knew they already suspect her with the way she even took Beverly out of the mansion.
“And you, shouldn’t you have cried that you can’t leave your father’s house! You followed me without asking any question like the foøl you are!” She yelled and snatched the remote control from Beverly.
However, her hand unconsciously pressed another button from the remote control and another channel replaced the cartoon channel her daughter was watching.
Hazel dropped the remote control, staggered backward as she saw her picture widely plastered across the screen.
She had been declared wanted!
Hèll, she is doomed!
There was no way she could leave this dãmn room as almost everyone had already seen the news. The reward money for whoever finds her was very mouthwatering, so, who the fück won’t call the number pasted below her pictures to give them the information they need.
Gosh, this is hèll!
She was 100% sure that Zach had been captured, the Harlan men are no joke.
She had underestimated them too much!
How dare she!
“Mama, what is wrong? Are you crying?” Beverly watched Hazel who was acting like she had gone nuts.
”Am I crying? It is your fault that we’re in this mess, bàstard! If you never existed, I wouldn’t have any reason to go back to that house! I should have just left you there if I knew things were going to end this way! You are a bàdluck!” Hazel screamed at Beverly who began to cry at the words her mother had just hurled at her.

“Doctor, how is she now? Why is it taking long?” Kyle asked as soon as the doctor came out of the ward.
“We’ve cut down on the sedatives as her temperature is going back to the normal range. She will wake up in a few hours,” the doctor answered and they nodded their head.
“We can go to her, right?” Melinda asked.
“Yes, please,” the doctor bowed, then walked away.
~Three hours later…
Melanie closed her eyes still after she had regained consciousness, she was very scared of opening her eyes to see that room, Hazel or Zach as they had already decided her fate.
However, she felt a warm hand fondling hers gently which made her have a second thought.
In fact, she was lying on a bed and not the cold tiles. There was no way Hazel or Zach was going to caress her hand so lovingly.
She finally opened her eyes and she felt her mind ease as she saw the worried face of her mother, Elle, Tyler, and Kyle.
“M…mum,” she whispered and tried to sit up but the pain in her lower abdomen stopped her which made her lay back.
“Don’t stress yourself. My daughter, how are you?” Melinda said in a low voice.
“I’m glad you guys found me,” Melanie breathed out.
“It would not have happened without Kyle, Elle, and Devon. Kyle and Elle brought you back. They rescued you,” Melinda said and swallowed hard, stopping the tears that were thr_@tening to fall.
“Really?” Melanie forced a smile as she glanced at her in-laws.
“We’re so sorry we arrived late. You had to go through all of this because of the resentment they held against our family,” Elle picked on her nails and bowed in shame.
“What are you saying? Come on, it’s totally fine. You guys found me before that hèllish man carried out his heinous plan,” Melanie closed her eyes.
She does not want to remember what had happened at all, but she could not help it.
“We caught him already. Harlen men captured him already,” Kyle said.
“Hazel? Did you guys find her? She was there too.” Melanie asked.
“No, but she has been declared wanted. She will be found in no time,” Elle answered.
“I hope they do. T…that woman did the worse to me. S…she… My baby. I hope my baby is fine and kicking. Hazel hit my stomach so much that it hurts. The doctor said my baby is fine, right?” Melanie asked and stared at her mother who looked away immediately.
“What is… Elle? Kyle, why are you guys not saying anything?” Melanie creased her brow in suspicion as she forced herself to sit even though it was painful.
“Did anything happen?” Melanie asked and touched her stomach.
The part where she always felt the baby bump wasn’t there.
No, it’s not what she was thinking.
“Mel, it’s all for the best…” Melinda whispered.
“What is for the best?” Melanie raised a brow.
“We couldn’t save the baby. The doctor said the substance you were drvgged with was too much for the baby to hold,” Melinda answered and reached out to hold her daughter’s hand.
”That’s a lie. No, I don’t believe you. It’s a lie!” Melanie screamed and yanked her hand away from her mother.
“Melanie…”
“This is my first fruit we are talking about. How the hèll could I lose my baby!?” Melanie screamed.
“Lan…”
“No, Theresa, give me a sign. I need to prove to everybody that you are still fine inside me. This is unacceptable! No,” Melanie cried.
Melinda shook her head, stood up sat beside her daughter on the bed, and pulled her in a hug.
“It’s fine, baby. Let’s pray for your husband’s quick recovery. You can always make another baby,” Melinda said as she stroked her hair gently while Melanie let the tears fall freely from her eyes.
Unconsciously, Elle began to cry and placed her head on Kyle’s chest, who starts to pat her.

After checking Flynn’s Vitals that were stable, the nurse removed the drip that just finished and replaced it with another.
After she was done and about to leave, she caught the movement in his fingers.
However, she thought she was imagining things and walked towards him, then she clearly saw his left hand move.
