Jacob had a disappointed look on his face as he drove back home. He was coming from the hospital with the same problem he usually have, he failed his test as a doctor due to fear.
“I don’t know why I’m such a loser” he sighed and shook his head and continued driving but he suddenly hit someone without knowing.
He didn’t understand how it happened because it happened so fast. The hit seemed hard because the person’s body flew above his car and landed somewhere behind him.
Jacob stopped driving with his eyes widened. He didn’t just hit someone right now did he?
He opened the door and came down then rushed behind his car to see who he hit. It was a woman, blood was already coming out from her head and he put his hands on his head, feeling shocked.
How could he do this?

AGNES’S PLACE★
“Baby!!” The entrance door opened and Agnes rushed in to hug Hailey that was sitting in the couch and watching model runaway.
“I miss you so much, why didn’t tell me that you’re back?” Agnes pouted.
“Because I wanted to surprise you” Hailey smiled and Agnes hugged her even more.
After a while of hugging and greeting they both stepped away from eachother.
“Why didn’t I see you in my graduation mom? All my friends were with their parents and I was alone” Hailey suddenly turned angry at her mother.
Agnes let out a nervous smile. She didn’t have any valid reason not to show up in her daughter’s graduation so she just admitted she was wrong.
“Okay okay I agree that I was wrong but I was absent because I was trying to make your long time dream come true” Agnes said with a kind of devious smile.
“What dream?” Hailey looked confused.
“You are getting married to Mason!!” Agnes shouted happily and Hailey’s eyes widened.
“Really?” She asked with a smile but frowned back when she remembered something.
“Mason is married, his grandpa announced it some months back” she muttered with a sad face.
Right from small, she had always had a crush on him. She already knows what his face looked like before he started hiding it.
“Oh.. it’s just fake, it’s nothing serious” Agnes rolled her eyes.
“How did you know that?” Hailey asked.
“Maya told me, she also want you to marry her son and she likes you which is why we should go over to their place this evening for dinner, I’d talk to Maya about it” Agnes explained to her daughter and she couldn’t stop smiling.
“You deserve to marry in that family Hailey, don’t let anyone make you think otherwise” Agnes cupped her daughter’s cheeks as she spoke.
Hailey nodded with a wide smile.
Agnes didn’t care if Mason was married or not. She would make sure her daughter is involved in his family, whether she loves him or not, but she needs to be there for the future of her and her daughter.
“Let me call Maya and inform her” Agnes took her phone out of her purse before climbing the stairs.

DELGADOS’ MANSION★
It was evening, not too dark but Skyler was in the kitchen with Edna and Ivy, teaching them how to cook.
“There, you will just have to cut it so gently and be careful so you won’t cut your hands too” Skyler monitored Ivy closely as she watched her chop some vegetables.
“Skyler, I kinda not know what to do here” Edna said nervously as she stared at the alive fish that was swimming in a bowl.
Skyler smiled and moved closer to her.
“If you want to know how to cook a fish stew then you’d need to know how to ki|| a fish” Skyler said.
“I’m not a murder and this fish looks like gross” Edna squeezed her face.
“Just as gross as you” Ivy smirked and Edna used a spoon to scoop some of the fish water and poured it on Ivy’s face.
Ivy gasped and stopped chopping but Skyler came to stand in their middle.
“What is the number one rule when you’re in the kitchen?” She asked while standing akimbo.
“Don’t fight when you’re in the kitchen” both Ivy and Edna muttered in a dry tone at the same time.
Skyler smirked and nodded.
“What do you think you’re doing Ivy!” Maya suddenly barge in with angry eyes but it reduced a bit when she saw Skyler.
“You two are learning how to cook, nice, it’s so sweet to see all of you getting along as a family” she said with a forced smile.
Skyler also forced a smile and nodded at her.
“Okay, carry on” Maya walked away and Skyler sighed.
“Aunt Maya is acting weird isn’t she?” Edna muttered.
“Yeah, I thought she was going to scold us like she did the other time” Ivy added and Skyler nodded in agreement.

Maya went to old man Mario’s study instead. He was busy doing some calligraphy when he sighted her standing by the door.
“Maya come in” he called and she walked in, then sat opposite him.
She peeped at his calligraphy and smiled.
“Dad your ski||s keeps increasing everyday” she smiled at him.
“Hmm.. I know” old man smiled and continued drawing.
Maya looked left and right thinking of where to start. She had been so nice to Skyler in front of him so asking for favours can’t be too bad now.
“Dad” she cleared her throat and he looked at her.
“My friend Agnes is back from Texas along with her daughter, I don’t know if you remember them..” she started.
“I remember, Agnes and Hailey” the old man nodded.
“Will it be okay if I invite them over for dinner?” Her heart was beating really fast as she asked and when the old man didn’t reply, she immediately involved Ivy.
“Ivy misses her, I want to also surprise Ivy” she added hoping the old man can say something positive.
“Sure, they are free to come home for dinner” He agreed which surprised Maya.
“Really?” She asked and the old man nodded again.
Maya immediately flew from her chair and rushed to hug him.
“Thank you so much dad, thank you!!” She rejoiced happily.
“Hmm, if that’s all you can leave now, I need to be busy with my calligraphy” he shooed her away.
Maya left and took out her phone to dial Agnes number.
“He said yes” she said happily.
Pretending to like Skyler in front of the old man was really paying off and sooner she would stylishly kick Skyler out of the family.

Venom stared at the men who were carrying the body of Brody out of his room with nothing but rage burning on his face.
“He’s so useless, how can one girl do this to him? He should thank his stars that he died before I came” he grunted angrily before walking out of his room.
The man he could his dad was already speaking to some of his guards about the girl.
“She must not have done too far because she’s not in a good shape so look for her and ki|| her the moment you set your eyes at her” he ordered.
“Yes boss” the guards bowed and rushed out of the building.
Venom stood beside his dad.
“What if they don’t find her and she ruin what we have been planning for ages, what are we to do? Shouldn’t I go extreme on Mason now? He keeps getting on my nerves every now and then” Venom clenched his fist as he spoke.
“Don’t act rash, just keep giving him baby thr_@ts and we will get to him in the unexpected way ever” the man replied.
Venom was not satisfied with what his dad was saying but he just nodded.

AGNES’S PLACE★
Hailey sighed on the last dress she was putting on. If she had known she was going to meet Mason then she would have brought more segzy clothes.
“Hey baby girl” Agnes stepped while holding a box.
“Mom not now, we should be on our way to Mason’s place any time soon but I don’t even have the perfect dress to wear” Hailey complained.
“That’s why I’m here, look what I got for you” Agnes passed the box to her.
Hailey sighed and collected it, she opened it to peep at what was inside and a gasp for escaped from her lips.
“Where did you get it from, it’s so gorgeous” she took out the red short dress and placed on her body.
“It was a gift from Maya, she got it from D•S for you, try it” Agnes said and Hailey immediately took of the dress on her body and try the dress her mom got her.
It was a bit short, exposing few of her flat stomach and cleavage.
“Mason wouldn’t be able to take his eyes off you” Agnes smiled at her.
“You think so?” Hailey asked, looking nervous.
Agnes sighed and went to cup her daughter’s cheeks.
“You’re very beautiful Hailey, you’ve grown to be a beautiful young lady and you were r the first lady apart from that fake wife of his to see his real face. Mason is all yours” Agnes said, looking really determined and serious.
Hailey smiled and nodded.
“Good do your make up and let’s hurry up before we get late” Agnes stepped away from her.

DELGADOS’ MANSION★
“It’s ready” Skyler announced as she carried the tray of food to the dinning with Ivy and Edna carrying some other tray from behind.
They began arranging it on the table while Maya was standing somewhere, watching with a frown.
She h@ťě to see that Ivy was getting along with Skyler and Skyler was also bringing Ivy and Edna close to each other. A smirk appeared on her face when she remembered Hailey.
‘I bet she would change her mindset about Mason and Skyler being together when she sees her’ She thought to herself with a smile.
Rosa came to stand beside with her own smirk.
“You should thank your daughter in law Maya, she is finally making your daughter useful” she said while looking at Skyler setting the dining.
Maya forced a smile as she faced her.
“I should also beg her to finally make your son useful in this family and in life” she replied and Rosa’s smile turned to a frown.
“Jesus, you look so ugly! Don’t frown, ever again” Maya shook her head and walked away with a satisfying smile that she finally annoyed Rosa.
“Ɓîtçh” Rosa cursed her in a tiny voice.
Mason finally came back from work and Skyler left the dining to meet him.
“Mason, you’re back, I’ve been waiting for you” she smiled at him.
He just faced her and held her chin then pressed his lips on hers, giving her a small peck.
“I know I missed you too” he smiled a little and Ivy’s eyes widened from where she was including Edna’s.
“You should go upstairs and shower” she tried to hide her blush.
“Wanna join me?” He asked with a smirk and she immediately pushed him away.
When she came back, she met Ivy and Edna giving her a kind of look.
“What?” Skyler had to ask.
“I’ve never seen Mason smile before, oh my God Skyler what are you doing to him” Ivy covered her lips with her palm.
“And you are blushing too, you totally like him” Edna said out loud.
“My gosh stop, call everyone down for dinner” Skyler rolled her eyes and immediately rushed upstairs.
She stopped and leaned closer to a wall.
“Do I really like Mason? Like I’m I in love with him?” She asked herself, staring at no one in particular.
“I think the both of you are in love with eachother. You should tell him, he is your husband” a voice sounded beside her and she turned to her side to see Emily smiling at her.
She let out a small smile.
“I should go down for dinner” Emily muttered and climbed down the stairs.
Skyler threw her head backwards. What’s the point of getting married to Mason to make Felix pay when she was already in love with him?
She sighed and blocked her face with her palms.

The dinner already started but Rosa was busy trying to call someone with her phone.
“Can you drop the phone Rosa, set a good example for once!” Grandpa Mario looked at her, feeling annoyed.
“Sorry Dad, I’m just worried about Jacob. He didn’t come home and he is not picking his calls too” Rosa looked a little concerned.
“Maybe he finally ki||ed himself because he couldn’t stand you” Maya replied with an eye roll.
“Mom, that’s not a nice thing to say” Skyler said and Maya almost rolled her eyes but she only forced a smile before she gets on the old man’s bad book.
“You’re right, please forgive me Rosa, I didn’t mean that” it pained Maya so much that she had to apologise to Rosa but she had too.
Rosa only have her a smile that is not a smile, something that meant she wouldn’t be forgiving Maya for what she said any time soon.
The entrance door opened and Agnes stepped in with Hailey.
“Hey everyone” she waved while Hailey just forced a smile on her face as she stared at everyone.
“Agnes, Hailey!!” Maya was the first to stand up.
Ivy looked surprised.
“Hailey why didn’t you tell me you were coming over so I would save some space for you to sit beside me?” Ivy asked and Maya smiled to herself.
“Sorry, just wanted to surprise you” Hailey smiled at her.
Edna sighed and stood up from her chair, she was actually sitting beside Ivy.
“I’ve been waiting for someone to come and save me from her” Edna said and Ivy rolled her eyes.
Hailey sat beside Ivy and they smiled at eachother.
Agnes who was beside Hailey stylishly stepped on her legs and when Hailey looked at her, she stylishly used her eyes to point the old man.
Hailey understood and immediately stood up and gave a short bow to the old man.
“Good evening grandpa, please forgive my poor manners” she apologized immediately.
Skyler looked confused with who they were, she looked at Mason and Mason shook his head like he had no idea.
“You can sit” grandpa Mario just nodded and Hailey took her sit.
Rosa saw Maya and Agnes exchanging glance at eachother and she smirked.
“Hailey dear, I’m sure you’re a bit surprise on seeing a new face so I will introduce you. That is Skyler, Mason’s wife and Skyler this is Agnes and Hailey a friend of this family from childhood” she introduced.
Hailey smile slowly turned to a frown and Skyler noticed it.
“Hailey’s grandpa died two years ago but when he was still alive, he was really good friends with grandpa” Ivy added and Skyler nodded.
Mason helped in putting some food on her plate and she gave him a confused look.
“You’re not eating anything and I don’t like it” he whispered to her.
Skyler nodded at him and began eating while Hailey watched them with a frown.
Maya cleared her throat and faced Mason immediately.
“Mason, do you remember Hailey?” She asked and Hailey smiled as she stared at his face.
Mason didn’t look at Hailey, he just looked at Maya with one of his brows raised.
“Who’s Hailey?” He asked confusedly and Hailey smile turned to a frown once again.
