CHAPTER 53
MASON
Immediately I entered my parents mansion I saw them waiting for me in the sitting room.
“I’m sure you’ve already made your decision”
My father said not to even bother looking at me while he was doing some business on his system.
My mother was at his side with her phone. I already knew she’s there selecting some clothes and designer bags she’s going to order.
“Yes father, I’ve decided to go and apologize to Arianna and her parents. I’ve realized what a great mistake I’ve made ”
“Good also I’ve shifted your engagement closer. It’s happening in the next two weeks”.
“What!!!!”
My father removed his eyes from his laptop and faced me.
“Do you have a problem with that Mason” I looked as my father was staring dagger at me.
I swallowed hard as I quickly shaked my head in a negative sign.
“No father”
“Good”.
With that he left the sitting room for his office.
I stared at my mother who’s not even bothered by my presence.
I turned around to leave.
“Are you not going to spend the night here”.
I was shocked as I looked at my mother.
She has never asked me that question all my 18 years of existing.
“No mom, I’ll be going to my house”.
She just nodded her head as she focused back on her phone.
I entered my car as I drove back to my Mansion.
Immediately I reached all the maids bowing their heads for me but I didn’t even answer their greeting.
All that was in my head was Avery, how’s she’s doing.
Immediately I reached my room the emotionless face I’ve been carrying all fell as tears started to fall from my eyes.
“I miss her, I f-__-king missed her”
I switched on my phone and saw a lot of missed calls from Avery, Hannah, Westley, Roy and Oliver.
I wasn’t in the mood to talk to anyone but I just wanted to ask how she’s doing.
So I dialed Westley’s number. After the first ring he picked up.
“Mason, where the hell are you?”
“Did you actually leave like you said”
“What the hell is wrong with you?”
“How’s Avery?” That was all that came out of my mouth.
“Do you expect her to be well after you left her. She’s helpless Mason.”
“She isn’t even talking to anyone and she has been crying since”
“Mason please come back. I don’t think she can survive this. She even shut Hannah out”
“I’m sorry Westley but I can’t”
“Are you out of your f-__-king mind, you love this girl and you’re going to throw all that away just because of your parents ”
“Avery even loves you a little too much than I think. You even promised her never to leave her alone “.
Hearing that I started to tear up once again.
“Mason are you alright?”.
“No Westley, I’m not”
“Just come back Mason, she’s in your room right now crying.”
“At least give her a call”
“Everyone is heartbroken because the sight of Avery is really heartbreaking “.
“She’s a mess Mason, everyone is crying including Oliver and Roy ”
“She isn’t speaking to anyone unless you talk to her and at least explain to her your reason. She shouldn’t be kept in the dark like that”.
I started to cry the more, I feel so heartbroken right now.
But I can’t, it’ll only make things worse. I said nothing as I ended the call by switching off my phone once again.
I’m an @$$h0le, I broke her and she’s in that state all because of me.
I’m a horrible person.
She deserves someone better than this @$$h0le here.
I can’t call her or even see her . Because if my father finds out I’m a dead meat not just me but it’s Avery I pity the most and her family.
I can’t imagine what my father will do if he finds out .
I heard a knock from my door but I didn’t bother answering.
“Young master your lunch is ready”
How can I be eating when Avery is crying all because of me.
I laid my head on the bed as I closed my eyes and Avery’s smiling face popped in my head.
“I’m sorry, I’m so so sorry”.

IN THE EVENING
I got ready to go to Arianna’s parents house to beg for their forgiveness.
I sat in the back seat as my driver started the car.
I closed my eyes wondering how Avery is doing.
When I got there I came down and we went straight to the dining table.
I saw my parents were there, no surprise because I was expecting them.
Arianna’s parents were also there and then my eyes landed on her.
She immediately ran and hugged me.
I felt a bit of irritation and I really felt like pushing her off.
I didn’t hug her as I just stared at the wall.
“I knew you’d come back to me, not that trash”.
I felt like scolding her for what she just said but I just took a deep breath.
I greeted her parents and sat close to my mom.
Chatting started going on , on the table but I just stared at my untouched food.
“Mason,” I heard my mom say.
I looked up and saw her .
“Are you okay”
She tried touching me but I slapped her hand gently away.
I stared back at my food.
Why is she acting as if she cared about me? Is this not what they wanted?
I shut the feeling, love I onced hard for my parents. Now all I could express waspure hatred for them.
“Babe you aren’t eating”
I stood up from my seat because sitting close to my mother and Arianna disgust me.
I went on my knees as I asked her and her parents for my forgiveness
Tears almost fell from my eyes but I held it.
After I was done apologizing I didn’t wait for their response as I stood up.
Everything and all the respect I had for my parents, Arianna and her parents all vanished because hatred was the only feeling I felt towards them.
I stood up and walked away not bothering looking back or responding to my parents calling my name.
I was about to enter my car when Arianna grabbed my hand.
“You just disrespected my parents”
I slapped her hand harshly from mine.
“You needed the apology you got it, we are getting engaged soon you got it”
“All what you wanted you’re getting it so f-__-k off and don’t talk to me like that”.
“You got what you wanted but you lost all the caring feeling I had for you and the little respect I once had for you and your parents”
“All that is left is pure hatred for you, your parents and mine. Sacrifices have to be made.”
“I sacrificed my love for Avery just to get married to you, and you think the old sweet and caring Mason will be the same ”
“The one you can control anything you want I’ll get it for you. Ohhh no Arianna, you got it all wrong “.
“You want this marriage you’ll definitely get it but I’m sure you’ll regret this and do you think I’ll ever love you if we get married?”
I watched as her eyes widened, a smirk appeared on my face.
I moved my fave closer to her neck as I whispered
“Don’t daydreamin Arianna wake up to reality”
With that I entered my car as my driver drove off.
“Drive me to my favorite place”
“Yes boss”
I made a way to the mountains to clear my head .
But as I reached the top I heard cries coming from someone.
I walked closer and saw a girl burying her face in her knee.
“Are you okay Miss?”
Immediately she raised her head. I was shocked to see who it was.
“Mason”
“Avery”
