Myles turned to him and his hand went to the table, he pressed a button and the lights in the room instantly turned on.
Shawn was a bit perplexed by the sudden brightness but he quickly recovered from it.
Some men walked into the office, bowed to Myles and took out the corpse from the office. It was a beautiful and well furnished office with expensive furniture,the wallpapers were dark, the table in the office was gray in color and so were the floor and ceiling.
Shawn couldn’t look at his face because he kept his face low but anyone could tell that Myles was a handsome godlike man that looked like he walked out of a painting, he had a well shaped face, perfectly carved eyebrows, blue eyes that looked like a drop of the blue ocean, his fairly pink lips and beard that made him look more masculine and attractive. He had dark hair which was dyed but its natural color is brown .
But no one could be deceived by his features because the dark, cold aura from him could be sensed dangerously in the room.
Myles stared at this fellow and scoffed. He couldn’t even remember the name he just called.
“What’s her name again?…anyways I f_cking have more than enough slaves here, what makes her special?” Myles scoffed and more smoke escaped his lips.
“Boss, she’s worth it because she’s one hell of a woman and I can assure that she would be good. I really need the money boss” Shawn pleaded without a stutter.
“She better be good as you said because if she’s a disappointment be ready to have your head served on a plate” Myles said with a thick and deadly voice.
Shawn quivered at the thr_@t, he knew his life was in danger but he had to get the money for his marriage to Daphne.
Myles walked to his table and tapped on the intercom.
“How much?”
“Up to ten… thousand… dollars” Shawn replied with a shaky voice.
“Give Cain ten thousand dollars” Myles said and Shawn couldn’t stop himself from smiling happily.
“Thanks Boss, thank you so much” He bowed to him many times.
“I will bring her here by tomorrow boss, thank you”
“Leave before I make your head drop permanently” Myles sneered at the hypocritical fellow.
Shawn said his last thanks and dashed out of the office.

Lola’s apartment>
Lola smiled when she saw Shawn arrive, she rushed to him and kissed his lips affectionately.
“Hi love” Lola smiled on his lips. “Where did you go?, its so late”
“I went to get some fresh air but I smell something nice” Shawn faked a smile but he was enticed by the aroma of the food.
“It’s chicken soup” Lola answered and took him to the kitchen.
They settled down and she served the hot chicken soup on a plate.
“Yummy” His mouth watered.
“I hope you like it” Lola made a cute pout and sat down before serving herself.
Shawn drank the soup and it was so delicious.
He and Lola had been dating for three years now and her food is the best he had ever tasted, not even his late mom cooks this good.
“Do you have some kind of charm in your hands?” Shawn questioned and held his hand.
Lola blushed “Maybe”
Shawn smiled then sighed “I saw this Rolex watch in a store, it was beautiful but too expensive”
“You mean the store down the road?” Lola questioned.
“Yes” Shawn faked a sad face. “I wish I could get it”
“Hey, don’t be sad” Lola muttered, seeing him sad made her feel awful.
She pecked his cheek and caressed his hair.
“Don’t be sad, I will get it for you” Lola said. His eyes widened.
“How?”
“Leave it to me” Lola chuckled and kissed his lips.
“Thank you, I love you”
“I love you too” Lola whispered on his lips, she could feel her heart thudding in its cage. She really loved him a lot.
“Thanks” Shawn smiled and felt a little guilty for his earlier actions but there was no going back.
“I will do anything for you, that’s how much I love you”

Hunt’s mansion>
Next morning,Lance walked into the arsenal with a smile on his face. The room is filled with different kinds of guns, weapons like axes, machetes, arrows, bows and other things.
“Hi, bro” Lance said cheerfully and tapped on his shoulder but the glare from his friend made him retract his hand immediately.
“How many times have I warned you not to call me bro?” Myles questioned with a huge frown on his face.
Lance rolled his eyes inwardly but he dared not do it in front of him.
“Sorry, dude” Lance apologized but he had already made another error.
Mykes suddenly corked a gun and Lance stepped back.
“Can’t we ever have a descent conversation as best friends?” Lance sighed but he knew Myles would never do anything to him.
They had been best friends for a long time more than a decade because both of them were now in their thirties, Myles was thirty three while Lance was thirty five.
Myles wore a black suit and tie because he was going to company to check things out.
“So what is our next job?” Lance asked with a smile then went to take a dagger.
“We are assassinating the governor” Myles said and Lance gasped.
“What!” Lance exclaimed, they had ki||ed many people but the governor was a higher personality.
“We got more than thirty million dollars to assassinate him, that’s a lot of cash to decline, ” Myles muttered and took more bullets.
“I don’t like this”
“Who cares about your opinion?” Myles said coldly and pointed the gun at him.
“Hey, hey, bro calm down!”
“Call me bro again and I will pull the trigger” He said.
“Bro”.
Myles shot at him.
“Jesus!” Lance screamed but the bullet had met the wall.
The room was soundproof, so nothing could be heard.
“You are insane!”

Lance and Myles walked downstairs, the mansion was a gigantic one and an unfamiliar person could get lost.
“I am going to meet her today,” Lance said excitedly.
Myles snorted “You are chasing someone who doesn’t even give a hoot about you”
“She’s so beautiful, her skin is really flawless like that of a baby, gosh, she’s my crush” Lance giggled childishly, thinking about Lola.
Myles shook his head “I wonder how we are still friends”
Lance chuckled at his comment, they made their way to the dining room. Myles went straight to the chair that served as the head of the family.
“Good morning” Atlas greeted spitefully.
Atlas was a handsome man with deeply dark hair, an attractive, chiseled small face, dark eyes and beautiful tattooed body, he had tattoos all over his hands, unlike Myles who’s tattoos weren’t visible.
“Morning” Myles replied to his brother lamely.
“Hi, Atlas” Lance greeted and sat beside him.
” Hi,” Atlas said dryly and continued eating his food. One thing about him, he looked lethal and evil and so was he. Myles showed his real character but Atlas was like a green snake in the grass.
A maid came to serve Myles and Lance and they ate breakfast quietly till the drama queen walked in.
“Hello everybody!!!” Summer screamed as she stepped into the dining room.
“Summy” Lance smiled at Summer.
“Good morning, Lance” Summer skipped to his side and hugged him. “Uncle cutlass” She said to annoy Atlas.
“Hi, dummy” Atlas frowned.
“Daddy” Summer giggled beautifully and walked to Myles.
“Sunshine” Myles flashed a smile at her, no one ever saw him smile to anyone apart from his daughter, Summer.
Summer was his daughter. She was born from teenage love. She’s almost eighteen and just like her name, she was extremely beautiful, she had fair skin, beautiful black hair, rosy lips, she looked like her mom according to what Myles always told her.
Summer sat on his lap and smiled cunningly “Daddy, I need a new car”
“Anything for you, Sunshine” Myles cupped her cute face lovingly, he could be cold to anyone but not her.
A new maid came to serve her.
Summer got a glance at her face, she looked beautiful and Summer h@ťěd it.
She was daddy’s spoilt brat, she was extremely rude, impolite, disrespectful and callous. No one could look prettier than her.
“More coffee,” Myles ordered.
Summer pouted at the maid and stepped wickedly on the maid’s foot, the maid shrieked and the hot coffee spilled, splashing on Myles and Summer.
“f_ck!” Myles cussed and pulled summer away before getting up.
“I’m… sorry…sir…” Her words were cut short with a loud and awful slap to her cheek, the maid fell on the broken pieces of the ceramic kettle and yelped in pain, blood escaped her lips as a result of the slap.
“Fredrick!” Myles yelled and one of his men came.
“Take her and teach a good lesson” Myles ordered and Summer smiled secretly.
“Sir…please!!! ” the poor maid screamed in pain as she was being dragged away.
“Myles” Lance tried intervening but the deadly glare from Myles shut him up.
“Daddy” Summer faked a cry.
“Sunshine, are you okay?” Myles asked while touching her skin and checking her out.
“Summy, are you alright?”Lance asked.
“It stained my uniform but I’m fine,” Summer smiled.
“Okay” Myles pecked her forehead. “Eat and go to school”
“I love you, Daddy ” She kissed his beard.
“I love you too, stop being naughty and eat”
Atlas rolled his eyes h@ťěfully and stormed out of the dining room.
“Uncle cutlass,”
Summer chuckled and so did Lance.

Jewelry store>
Lola stared at the wrist watches there, she knew she couldn’t afford any of them but seeing her Shawn like that made her sad as well.
She looked around and opened the show glass, she took out one of the wrist watches pretending like she was checking it. She secretly hid it in her B-__-bs.
“Heavens forgive me for this” Lola sighed and closed the glass.
She successfully walked past the security guard until someone suddenly yelled.
“Thief!”
Lola’s eyes widened, she ran out as fast as she could and before she knew it security guards were chasing her and the cops too.
“f_cking $h|t” She cursed and ran faster.
Lola ran towards the restaurant and she saw Lance stepping out of his car. She could hear the cops coming.
“f_ck” She cursed and ran to him as an idea popped into her mind.
“Lola” Lance smiled but her next move shocked him. Her lips suddenly slammed against his.
Lance’s eyes widened in total shock. His crush was kissing him.
What the hell!
He couldn’t wait to tell Myles.
Lance gripped her waist, slammed her back against the car and deepened the kiss.
