“Ann” Dexter called and picked one of the roses,fixing it at the side of her hair. After that,he slammed his lips on hers,kissing and driving her to planet Mars.
A tumultuous applause could be heard,as everyone walked in with happy smiles spread all over their faces.
Dexter had planned all these with them before hand. Even when Verity was conversing with herself two days ago,about Dexter taking too long to propose,he was already planning the engagement with his friends and of course, Annika’s too.
Even yesterday evening,when he went to the jewelry store to pick a ring,Dalton and Derek were with him.
This is just the way he wanted it to be. Very early in the morning where she’d wake wake up to a big surprise.
What a big surprise indeed!
This guy is just too sweet and romantic,and right now,Annika still cannot believe she’s getting married to the love of her life soon.
One who gladens her heart,the only one her heart beats for,the father of her unborn baby.
Her very own Boo Bear!
“d@mn! I can’t believe you said yes”Dexter said,as they broke away from the kiss to stare at each other,with the foreheads together.
“Wait,what did you think I was going to say? No?”Annika giggled,staring deep into his eyes.
“There’s no way I was going to say no to my Boo Bear”She added. She then pinched him lightly,and he chuckled.
“You’re crazy”He said,poking her nose.
“I know,Baby. I took after my Fiance” Annika replied,stylishly walking,and dancing to her friends.
They all laughed at that crazy move of hers.
“Oh gosh! Show us the ring,Baby” Sana and Mina gushed,holding Annika’s left hand.
“Awww. This is so beautiful,Sugar Pie” Sana gushed,staring at the beautiful diamond ring.
“Gosh! We are so happy for you,Sweetheart. Congratulations” Mina said. Annika pouted,then smiled broadly afterwards,as they did a group hug.
“Thank you,Babies”She repilied,grinning.
“Congratulations,man. You did it,you finally popped the question. This is the moment we’ve all been waiting for”Derek said,hugging him manly.
“Congratulations,buddy. We gonna party soon” Dalton hugged him too,smiling.
“Party till we can no more” Derek added,and the three laughed.
“You two should do yours soon,I also want to party in yours till I can no more”Dexter joked,and they all laughed.
“Congratulations,bro. This would have been me,but I messed up with her. d@mn! That girl is a rare gem”Roland said,hugging Dexter.
Yep! Dexter invited him too.
“Thank you,bro. And thank you for messing up with her”Dexter joked and playfully punched Roland’s shoulder.
They all laughed heartily.
“Boyfie!”Verity hugged Dexter tight.
She was actually with Annika and her friends,not far from Dexter and the rest,though. Verity just couldn’t stop hugging Annika,this is exactly what she had been praying and waiting for.
“I was about consulting the oracle to know when you were going to propose to Annika” Verity said out loud and everyone bursted into a laugh.
While still laughing,Annika’s gaze suddenly landed on Dexter who was busy staring at her like he hasn’t seen her before.
She smiled,winked and air kissed him,seductively.
He chuckled and winked back.
“I love you” He said,using sign language.
That action of his,alone,melted Annika’s heart away. She literally understood the sign language,and just couldn’t control her emotions when she saw that.
Annika walked briskly to where Dexter stood,and jumped on him.
And as usual,Dexter didn’t fail to carry her in his arms like a baby.
“I love you more,Boo Bear” She it out to everyone’s hearing,pecking him in the process.
“Aww” Everyone gushed seriously.
Dexter put her down after a while,and gave her nose a light kiss.
Can he ever get enough of this woman standing right in fron of him?
Definitely not.
Roland was right about Annika being a rare gem.
She’s crazy,yet sweet.
And despite her craziness,Annika has the kindest and softest heart.
Above all these,she’s a loving soul,and Dexter can never get enough of her.

“You’re taking me and your Fiancee out today,whether or not you want to” Verity said audaciously,acting serious.
“As you wish,ma’am” Dexter replied with a bow,and they all laughed.
“Thank you,guys for coming. Y’all made this a success!
“I love you all,but not as much as I love my Baby” Dexter said,and they all started chuckling.
“Congratulations once more,Sweetheart. We have to go to work now” Mina said,hugging Annika again.
They all were already dressed for work,though.
“Mina is right,Sugar Pie” Sana added,as she hugged her too.
“Aww. I wish today was weekend already. Thank you so much,Boo Boos,you girls are the best!” Annika said gratefully,giving them pecks.
Sana,Mina and Verity are the once who decorated the whole room,but the candles and roses were done by Dexter himself.
Everything was done in complete decorum,that even the sound of a needle could be heard,if thrown on the floor. That’s why Annika was unware of what was going on.
“Thank you so much,Buddies. I’ll see you later at work” Dexter said to his friends who were ready to leave.
They smiled and nodded.
“Bro…can you come to dad’s,later in the evening,or night?” Roland went to Dexter and said,after Dalton and Derek had left.
“Okay…hope nothing’s wrong” Dexter asked,wondering.
“I can’t really say,till we see” Roland replied,feeling a bit sad,but he didn’t show it.
What is running through his mind right now,is how his dad and fveryone else is going to react when he tells them the truth,especially Robert.
What if he arrests him and his mom,straight up?
What if he takes away everything from him?
d@mn! Is that how his life is going to become?
Totally left with nothing,and he has to start from the begening?
Nevertheless,he’s still going to say the truth, wh@ťěver his fate might be.
“Alright,bro. See you later then,and thank you for coming” Dexter replied with a smile. Roland smiled too,then left afterwards,leaving Dexter to wonder why.

“So,when is ours coming up,Bae?” Mina asked Derek,intently staring at him,while waiting for a reply.
She also wants to be engaged.
Yes,it may not be up to five or six months they started dating,but does it really matter? Especially when you both love each other,and are both ready.
Besides,they’ve known each other almost all their lives.
Come to think of it,she and Derek started dating before Annika and Dexter.
So,why is Derek taking long to propose to her,like Dexter just did to Annika.
Don’t her wrong.
She isn’t jealous of her friend,or anything.
Mina has just been in so many relationships,and none of them ended well.
She’s just scared this particular one might not end well too.
“Hey…sweetie. I understand you,okay? Ours will come when the right time comes.
“Look at me,Baby” Derek said,holding her chin tenderly,turning her to face him.
He planted a soft kiss on her forehead,then pulled away.
“I love you,Mina and my relationship with you isn’t a joke.
“I can’t and will never play with your heart. If I wasn’t planning to spend the rest of my life with you,I wouldn’t even let the relationship get to this point.
“I love you,and I want to be with you. I just need to get some things together,before settling down,and it’s you I want to settle down with” Derek said,reassuringly.
“I love you” Was the only thing Mina could say, as she was short of words. She wasn’t expecting that,at all.
“I love you too,Sweetie” Derek replied, kissing her lips this time.
“Now,can I take you to work?” He asked, and she nodded happily. With that, Derek started the ignition and drove off,taking her to her workplace.
