{TROUBLE}

The first thing Rosetta noticed when she opened her eyes was the beautiful gold chandelier on the ceiling. Her sight was blurry at first but after blinking it twice, it became clear.

Her eyes roamed about the room and a light gasp escaped her lips. Was she dead already? Is this heaven? Those were the thoughts running through her mind cos where she was, it doesn’t seem like earth at all.

She sat up with a groan, her hand moving to her head. Her stomach was still hurting her and she felt she might die of hunger soon.

“Sei sveglio? {Are you awake?}” She heard a deep masculine voice.

She snapped her head in the direction of the voice and her mouth went open, seeing the god before her.

Was he a human? Nah, she doesn’t think so.

“è sorda? {Is she deaf?}” She heard him mumbling under his breath.

“No, I’m not!” She shot, eyeing him. How could he think of her as a deaf person?

“Oh… Good thing you aren’t,” she heard him say.

All Rosetta did was stare at him. He was sitting on the couch with his legs crossed, his arms crossed his chest and he was staring directly at her.

Rosetta cleared her throat, trying to ease the tension that was building in the room.

“How… How did I end up here?” She asked, staring around the luxurious room.

“Are you seriously asking me that?” He scoffed.

“I think I have to. I woke up here and….” The grumbling of her stomach made her stop talking abruptly.

Her eyes widened and her cheeks flushed in embarrassment. Did he hear that?

It was crystal clear that he did because a smirk found its way to his lips.

“I think that’s from… You,” Rosetta stuttered, looking away in embarrassment.

“Sul serio? {Seriously?}” His lips curved to the side in an amused smile.

“I… I should get going,” Rosetta stuttered, getting to her feet. Immediately she made to take a move, her stomach grumbled again, this time louder and her eyes shut tightly in embarrassment. She lowered her head to the floor, covering her face with her hair.

With just a click of his fingers, the door opened and a waiter entered, holding a tray with varieties of dishes.

The waiter was surprised to find Rosetta in the room but she quickly hid it and smiled. She set the tray on the table and left immediately.

Seeing the food, Rosetta involuntarily licked her lips, her mouth already getting watery.

“Eat up,” she suddenly heard from him.

“Huh?” Her head snapped towards him to find him already operating on his phone.

“Tha… Thank you,” she stuttered, her pride fleeing out of the window. This was a matter of life and death, Fůçƙ pride!

She quickly sat beside the table and picked up her cutleries. Cutting a piece of chicken into her mouth, Rosetta Mõ@ɲed as the delicious taste filled her taste bud.

“non fare più quel suono {don’t make that sound anymore}” she heard from him and she stared at him. Seeing the look on his face, she quickly averted her gaze and resumed eating her food.

“Mi dispiace {I’m sorry}” she mumbled.

Rosetta ate the food with relish, her mind filled with joy. This was the first time in years that she was going to taste something as delicious as this.

After she was done eating, Rosetta belched loudly and quickly covered her mouth, staring at him from the corner of her eye.

“Thank you for the meal,” she said slowly. If there was any word to describe how Rosetta felt at that moment, then that’d be great. Because different thoughts were swirling in her mind. With her dressing, one could have perfectly guessed the nature of her job yet he decided to help her??

Just as she opened her mouth to speak, he stood up and put on his dark shade. He stared at her.

“When you’re okay, you can take your leave,” with that, he left the room.

Rosetta was completely taken aback, what does he mean by that? Was she kidnapped?

Forgetting that she had just finished eating, Rosetta jumped up and rushed to the door, opening it with force. A relief sigh escaped her lips when the door opened.

“I’m safe,” she smiled. Casting a last glance at the room, Rosella smiled softly before making her way out of the room. It was easier to find her way back as it was the same hotel she was working at. The only thing was that she wasn’t privileged to enter the VIP rooms.

Romeo entered the room and all heads bowed immediately, welcoming him to their midst. It’s been a long since he showed up and the least they could do was to show him respect, as the Boss.

Romeo sat down and dropped his phone on the huge table. His eyes scanned around the whole room and nodded in satisfaction. Everything was still intact.

“It’s been long, Sir Castillo. How have you been?” A man asked.

“Good I guess. Let’s move to business,” Romeo said immediately. He glanced at Diego who instantly opened a hard-cover book, reading out some information.

“You’ve been doing a great job so far, I’m impressed,” Romeo smiled lightly. One thing he loved was his business going perfectly well.

“Thank you, Sir Castillo,” The voices said in unison. It’s a rare sight to find their Boss appreciating their efforts, but this was shocking and they felt happy with that.

“I’m back for good now, and I hope things are going to continue just as the way it was, or else I won’t hesitate to terminate you,” Romeo said. No one needed to tell them what the word “terminate” is…”Fire”.

“We won’t, sir Castillo. Welcome back once again”

Romeo stood up and left the room instantly, with Diego following him behind.

Rosetta was done dressing up since she was done for the day. She arranged her work attire into a basket and exhaled loudly. It was past evening and she needed to get home as soon as possible. Once it’s late at night, the transport fee tends to go high.

Her mind went back to the man who saved her that afternoon, the food she ate was the one sustaining her till this moment.

The sound of the door opening brought her back to the present. A lady entered and walked to her, folding her arms across her chest.

“What were you doing there earlier?” She questioned.

“What do you mean?” Rosetta asked, flinging worn-out bag on her shoulder.

“What were you doing with the Boss? A mere cleaner like you, dining with the Boss in his private suite??” The lady mocked. She turned out to be the waiter earlier.

“Oh… It’s crystal clear now, you tried to seduce him, didn’t you?” She laughed.

“Watch your words, Anna,” Rosetta warned with gritted teeth.

“What if I don’t? You’re gonna beat me up? I bet you know what’d be your fate if you try that,” Anna smirked

That calmed Rosetta down. This was her only means of survival, she dared not destroy it with her own hands, not when the month was going to end in a few days.

“I’ll pretend I didn’t hear that from you,” she smiled, walking past her.

“Of course you have to, after all you’re nothing but a filthy cleaner,” Anna said loudly.

Rosetta bit her lips hard before leaving the room, her fist clenching hard.

“Fůçƙ you,” she cursed.

She was at the reception when she saw him, the so-called Boss walking with tons of guards behind him.

“He’s the Boss? The one everyone fears??” She wondered to herself. She was new to the job and she hadn’t met with her Boss since he was away on a trip.

But her first encounter with him had to be in that condition?

“Cazzo! {Fůçƙ!}” She cussed beneath her breath.

One thing which was still a mystery to her was why he had to help her. One thing she had come to discover according to the numerous gossip she had heard was that, Their Boss, Romeo Knight Castillo, was a ruthless man.

But, why would he help her was the mystery here.

Rosetta shrugged away all thoughts and quickly rushed out of the company, hoping it wasn’t too late before the fee gets high.

Romeo watched as Helena fixed his tie for him, he was dressed for work while she was still in her nightdress.

After fixing his tie properly, Helena leaned forward and placed a short K!SS on his lips, her hand resting on his shoulder.

“Be good, okay?” She smiled.

“You too,” Romeo muttered. There was a sudden knock on the door and Helena replied for the person to enter.

A young guy entered, holding a small box in his hands.

“Here’s what you ordered, Boss. It got delivered this morning,” the guy said.

Romeo nodded and collected the box from him. He opened it and a silver wristwatch glinted brightly. It was specially made from France.

“Wow! This is beautiful,” Helena gushed.

Romeo wore the wristwatch on his wrist and smiled in satisfaction.

“Perfetto,” he mumbled.

“You really love spending your money lavishly, don’t you?” Helena asked.

“I worked for it, so it’s not a big deal,” Romeo said and walked out of the house, leaving Helena standing.

“He can never change,” Helena shook her head.

****

Rosetta got to the hotel and she started breathing heavily. She was out of cash and she had to trek down to the hotel. It wasn’t an easy thing to do, to be sincere!

“So tired,” she groaned, and stretched her legs which were beginning to hurt her.

?️ Good morning, Boss

?️ Good morning, sir Romeo

?️ Good morning, Boss

She heard different greetings and her heart literally flew out of her chest. In an attempt to turn so she could take a peek at the Boss again, she mistook her steps. Her hand involuntarily went to the air, holding anything that’s gonna save her at that moment.

And she did, but then… Her hand met with a wristwatch and she pulled it hard, hoping to regain her posture back. But it was as though fate was against her because she fell to the ground with the wristwatch falling on the tiled floor, the glass smashing into pieces.

“Che cazzo! {What the Fůçƙ!}” Her heart pounded against her chest when she heard the voice.

She raised her head from the ground and gazed up to see a furious pair of green eyes on her.

“oh madre mia!” {Oh my mother!}” She mumbled with her heart hammering hard against her chest.

What has she done??

“Oh great timing, just say goodbye to your job” she cried inwardly, still feeling a hard gaze on her.
