“Wait, you’re what?” Dexter asked,with his eyes wide,brows raised and of course, total shock!
“Baby? You mean,you have me growing inside of you?” He asked,this time with a big smile on his face.
The happiness in him right now is immeasurable!
Did Annika just say she’s carrying his baby? His very first child? The first grandchild of the Kleins’?
This is the best news he has head since this year.
Annika nodded faintly,placing her hand on his shoulder,as she felt weak.
She suddenly backed Dexter as the puke came again.
Dexter quickly held her,rubbing her back soothingly.
“So sorry,baby” He kept saying,while still rubbing her back gently.
After Annika had vomited to her satisfaction,she washed her mouth,then to turned to face Dexter again.
“You’re not mad?” She asked.
“Mad? Why should I be mad that you’re pregnant with our baby?” He said,wondering why she thought he’d be mad.
Dexter squatted instantly. He raised her top up,then began to kiss and rub her tummy.
“Daddy cannot wait to hold your tiny body in his arms,little angel” Dexter said,and kissed her tummy again.
Okay,this is! Dexter has done it again.
Right now,Annika cannot explain how she feels,like,the feeling is just something else. What Dexter just did and said,is giving her goosebumps.
Cos,all she was thinking was that Dexter might not be happy,or even ready to have kids since he used protection.
And how she’s pregnant despite the CD they used still baffles her.
He got up and hugged her tight like never before.
“I love you so much,Heartbeat. Thank you” He smiled,and planted a sweet kiss on her forehead.
“I love you more,Boo Bear,and thank you too for accepting our baby” Annika replied,wrapping her hands around his waist,while she gently placed her head on his chest.
She could hear his heartbeats,beating faster than she has ever heard it beat.
And those heartbeats are for her alone!
“But how come you’re pregnant,baby? We used protection,right?” He suddenly asked,creasing his brow funnily.
Annika giggled,and rubbed his cheek like a baby.
“Remember how you were senselessly banging me hard that night? So,I guess the c.ondom bursted without our knowledge” Annika said,and he laughed loud at the”senselessly banging me hard”.
Makes him remember that steamy rainy night. It was the best of his life,and even the sweetest as it has resulted to pregnancy.
He still doesn’t believe he’s going to be a dad in few months time. It’s the best feeling ever.
But,if not that he loves and trusts Ann,plus,he’s the one who deflowered her. He would have doubted being responsible for the pregnancy,cos they used protection!
Well,just like she said,it obvious the CD broke without them knowing.
He used protection because he did not want to have a child out of wedlock, since they aren’t married yet. But it has happened, and he’s surprised at how happy he is.
“f-__-k! I can’t believe how fertile my baby is. Just one it,and she’s pregnant” Dexter said jokingly,carried her off the ground in bridal,and started heading out.
“Trust me,Boo Bear. Your sperm isn’t in for any rough play” Annika joked too,and they both bursted into a laugh.
“Let’s go home,you need a good massage” He said,kissing her on the lips,while she’s still in his arms.
He put her down when they got to the car,then opened the door for her.
“Thank you,baby” She smiled and pecked him.
He got in,too and sat,releasing a sigh.
“We’ll also visit my dad and mom after we close from work,okay?” He said again,brushing her hair to the back.
“Visit his mom and dad? Why?
What’s he planning?” Annika wondered in her heart.
She wanted to ask him why,but decided not to.
Somehow she’s scared at the fact that she’s going to meet his dad.
His mom likes her already,yes! But will it be the same with his dad?
All these kept running through her mind,and she couldn’t stop worrying.

“Everyone listen to me and listen good. I called this meeting because I was forced to.
I am never going to say this again,let it be a warning to you all.
“I will not condone any form of laziness in my Company,it has never happened and will never happen!
“I want to announce this to everyone’s hearing.
I called everyone here because I want to sound a note of warning to all of you.
“The Secretary, Annika Wright is my girlfriend” Dexter announced,and most of the workers who didn’t know gasped.
Dexter is so angry right now. Not after he heard what Lira said to Annika yesterday.
Yes,Dalton told him,and he’s boiling hotly inside. How dare she call his girlfriend a slut,or talk to her anyhow in his own Company.
He even had to call a meeting cos of that.
Annika didn’t want to tell him about it,cos she knows how it will end.
His anger is what she’s still battling with. She knows it’s not good for his health,that’s why she tries all her best to keep him happy
“So,I urge you all to respect her as much as you do to me,failure to do means you no longer love your job” Dexter continued,and everywhere went dead silent.
Lira who knows what’s up,was busy rolling eyes and scoffing.
“Now,I’m going to use two people as scape goats.
“Spencer and Lira. Klein’s Winery no longer need your services.
“You’re both fired!” Dexter banged the desk in front of him ragingly,not showing any form of emotion.
For a moment,Spencer thought he was just hearing things,but when it dawned on him that he’s been fired for real. He went on his knees immediately,begging.
But Dexter didn’t listen to his pleas,he just left the meeting room without looking at him at all.
Lira wasn’t even bothered,she just kept chuckling knowingly.
Yes,that’s how he wanted it to be,to fire them in the presence of everyone. So,no one will dare disrespect Annika again.
And about Spencer,he alone knows why he fired him.

“I asked you not to tell him about it” Annika said,frowning at Dalton.
“She needed to be put in her place,Annika. You have no idea how much we wanted him to fire her” Derek replied instead,and Annika scoffed.
“And Spencer?”She asked,hissing.
“I don’t know what he did,but Dexter alone knows”Dalton replied,and Annika sighed and left them.
