Kitten smiled out her teeth, waiting for the guys response but they only stared at her blankly.
” What do you mean you can afford both?” Frankie quickly cuts in.
” What I mean is, Lucas can help me talk to his dad to cut my school fees and I’d still be able to get my job as a stage decorator, right?. Guys??” She asked, looking at both of them at once.
” Yeah, i totally agree with this one. But Lucas face doesn’t seem to agree at all” Frankie smirked.
Lucas sighed as he grinned on his lower teeth angrily before looking at kitten.
” Kit. You have to choose one of us. Me or him?. There’s no two sides here!” He said.
” But I’m trying to avoid a fight. I also want a job so bad!” She pouted.
” Being my girlfriend is your job. There’s no other job attached” He said.
” And you’re going to pay me for being your girlfriend, right?” She asked and he palmed half of his face tiredly. This girl…
He sighed and pulled her wrist to a secluded place, before standing at her front, looking down at her.
” I have reasons for rejecting frankie’s proposal, kit. You could have probably think the way I do” He said.
” And what are the reasons?” She sighed, falling her shoulders.
” One, the K4 are all playboys. They are not some kind of people we can trust. Frankie still has a crush on you. He might be using this as a trap and…” He stopped counting his fingers when he met her chuckling loudly.
” Why are you giggling?” He asked, raising his upper brow.
” You are being jealous and protective of me again Lucas” She smiled.
” Jealous?” He scowled.
” Yes. Especially last night when you refused to return my phone to me cos frankie was the one calling me” She laughed.
Lucas pressed his lips tight and he lowered his head, accepting the defeat.
” Yea, I think I’m being too jealous” He said.
She smiled and leaned on her toes, cupping his cheek. ” Don’t worry cookie. You’re still mine, okay?. Like I said, I’m not going to leave you for anything” She said.
” And the job?” He asked.
” Please cookie. I really need the job so bad as well” She pouted up her lips and Lucas heaved a long tiring sigh.
He looked up to find frankie still at his spot as he went through his phone.
His head turned back at kitten.
” You can get this job only on one condition” He said.
” What’s that?” She asked and he leaned close to her face, smirking at the corner of his lip.
” You keep ten feet away from frankie while working under him. Deal?”
” Deal!!” She scouted happily and Lucas could see the bright expression on her face.
Frankie started walking until he got to them.
” Hey, Have you guys made up your mind?” He asked.
” Yes!.” Kitten threw her arms.
” But..” Lucas gave her a side eye and she turned to frankie.
” I have to stand ten feet away from you everytime I work” She said and frankie returned to glare at Lucas.
” What if I need to tell her something?. Do I still need to shout?” He yelled.
” That’s none of my business. My rule is always my rule. I’m very good at sniffing and if I perceive your cologne around her, the deal will be over!” He said strictly before taking kitten away with him.
He watched their backs for a moment before scoffing out.
” Pst…Then I’d stop putting on cologne then” He grinned before taking his leave as well.

*CLASS BASEMENT*
Karen slowly sneaked through the basement of the class and when she looked up, a torchlight pointed at her face.
” Ahhh!! Ghost!!!!” She screamed and fell on her butt trying to crawl away.
” Ahhh!!!” Frankie threw his torchlight to any direction and his fingers searched for the socket quickly. Fortunately, He turned on the light and realised it was Karen.
” Karen??” He raised his brows and she turned to look at him.
” f-__-k. So it was you!” She spat and stood up on her feet quickly.
” Why are you taking the basement?” He asked, walking up to her.
” I’m late for class that’s why I’m taking the back of the class” She sighed and picked up her schoolbag. ” What are you doing here as well?. Aren’t you supposed to be doing stuffs at class?”
” I don’t have class for now. And I think the pipe connected to the boy’s toilet as a fault” He said and picked up the screw, crouching down a bit.
He screwed out something from the pipe hole and the pipe broke immediately.
” Oh geez!” Frankie stood up, taking some steps back.
” What did you do?. Why is the pipe leaking?!” Karen spat.
” I..I..was only trying to fix it cos my poop can’t flush down the toilet.” He said naively and Karen slapped her face in disgust. She threw his bag at him and walked over to the broken pipe.
” $h|t. This stuff is permanently broken. Our school is going to get seriously flooded soon!” She said. The remaining part of the pipe broke and the water began to pour out heavily.
” Ahhh!” Karen screamed and held frankie body tightly. ” I’m allergic to running water. Take me out of here, Quick!” She screamed.
He immediately carried her up in a bridal style along with her bag and they started to run out of the basement quickly.
He held the knob and tried to open it but it was stuck. He struggled with it and found out nothing working. Karen came down his body and she also struggled with the knob until she got fed up.
They turned back at the running water and saw it was filling up the spaces, before turning to look at eachother.
” We are going to die, karen. This is it” He said and she slapped his face with her bag.
” Ouch!. That hurt!” He spat, holding his jawline.
” It’s you who’s gonna die. I haven’t even met my real parent yet and you expect me to die!” She scoffed.
” What are we supposed to do. The water is getting to our knees” He said.
” Take your phone and call your friend. Any of them. I’ll text Kitten and Kelly to come over quickly” She said and he quickly brought out his phone.
He sighed and sent a message to the three boys including Lucas and Karen did the same with the girls. They waited for long and didn’t get a response from them. The water was above their knees now.
” Frankie. I think you’re right. The water is going to swallow us up!. This is it, we are living our last lives” She said and started to sob on her palm.
” Hey, It’s okay karen. I have something for you” He said and she looked at him. He brought out a ring from his pocket and placed it gently on her forth finger.
” Why did you give me a ring?”She asked and he pocketed his hands.
” It just a play ring tho. Incase we both don’t get to marry at the end. At least we’re doing it now” He said. She stared at the ring and looked at him with a sweet smile.
” Let’s have our last kiss frankie” She said, pushing him against the wall.
” What?” He swallowed hard. She leaned on her toes and was about to kiss him when the knob moved. Frankie pushed her off and quickly knocked on the door.
” Who’s this?”
” It’s Leo, am with the others. Hold on, we brought a mallet” He said.
” Be quick. We’re about to get drowned!” Karen said as well. The knob shattered and frankie pushed the door in, coming out quickly along with karen. The water escaped and flooded the whole place immediately and Leo closed back the door.
Lucas eyes widened.
” What the heck happened in there?” He asked.
” Long story” Frankie chuckled.
” The pipe broke. It’s running out with water nonstop. We have to tell the counsellor about it” Karen said. Blue sighed and started leaving with jinx.
” We left in the middle of geography class” They said and left. Leo held Kelly and left without saying a word. Kitten came back with a bucket and mop.
” This is the only way I can help. You can start by cleaning up the school corridor first before approaching the counsellor for help” She said and walked away with Lucas.
Frankie sighed and turned to karen.
” We made a mistake. We could have just kissed and die instead of texting them” He scoffed.

*LIBRARY*
Lucas was busy reading through a book while kitten was busy taking pics of him in the other seat. He started running his fingers into his hair, literally focusing on his book and she bit her lower lips.
” Nice pose cutie” She chuckled and started taking different set of pics. He looked up without raising his chin and she sank her phone close to her face nervously.
” Hiii” She smiled.
” I thought we both agreed to read before the class test, Mn?” He asked, leaning back on the table to stare at her closely.
” Of course I’m reading”
” With a phone on your face?”
” I’m reading online” She said and he throated a chuckle. He stood up and left his seat, walking up to her with his gaze fixed on her manipulatively. She quickly stood up and hid the phone behind her, forming a pout on her face.
” I..I..I’m not…” Before she could finish her word, he slammed his lips on her, kissing her wholesomely.
She got completely intoxicated by his lip and he pulled her on top the table quickly. They started kissing hungrily and lucas hand sinfully massaged her B-__-bs.
” Ohh..mm.” Her Mõ@ɲ sounded crazily segzy in his ears and he th-ru_sted his lip and kissed her deeply.
Frankie instantly walked in, and he gasped by the view he was seeing. He cleared his throat and opened his mouth to speak.
” I..I..came to pick the History textbook” He said, finding his leg suddenly unmovable. Lucas took the history book from the table and threw it at him without breaking the kiss.
Frankie caught the book on his chest and watched them for another seconds before walking out immediately.
He slammed the door hardly and gritted his teeth. He felt hurt, so hurt that his heart squeezed in pain anytime he tried to recall the scene he saw. He couldn’t stop them from loving eachother but he was ready to take a risk.
” I think its time I tell kitten who this guy really is before he does something to hurt her. And I’m taking that step quick before she loves too much” He said and walked away with disgust.
Inside the room, Lucas finally pulled away fr the kiss and he watched her face as she sulked her lower lips gently.
” Why did you pull away so quick?” She asked with her cheeks burning quite red.
” You were really enjoying it?” He smirked and her cheeks buffed.
” I’m not supposed to h@ťě it, Am I?” She pouted and he kissed her nose.
” I can kiss you the whole day If I’m given the chance baby, I want us to study first” He said and she lowered her gaze.
” I just h@ťě studying” She pouted and he picked her chin up.
” That’s literally why we’re in school. To study” He said and placed her down on her feet. ” Go pick a book of your choice, let’s study it together” He said. She sighed and walked up to the shelf and drew out one of the books there.
” This one says, Vampire and A Mate?” Her brow rose and he quickly snatched the book from her.
” Choose…another one that is readable.” He said and she picked an English textbook.
” This?” She asked scratching the side of her neck and Lucas mistakenly stared at that spot.
His whole body began to crave for her immediately and he started to feel somehow. His canines began to itch and grow and he quickly stepped back, palming his lip.
” I..I..have to go to the toilet. I’ll be back soon” He said but kitten held him quickly.
” Tell me why you keep acting this way?. What’s behind your lip, I’m your girlfriend and I need to know!” She said hoarsely.
He slowly left hold of his lip and his fangs appeared boldly.
” Aaahh!” She screamed and fell to the floor, passing out quickly.
” Kitten!!” He rushed to her immediately.

4PM*BASKETBALL COURT*
The boys all assembled on the pitch with their sport costume on and the girls all stayed to watch them play basketball. Kelly was among the cheerleaders. She ran up to Leo when she saw him and then, she kissed him.
” I’ll be cheering for you while you play, okay?” She said.
” If my team wins, what should I do for you little?” He asked and she bit her lips until an idea came into her head.
” Can you take me to your mansion so I can spend the night with you. I’ve always wanted to spend the night at your place” She said and he grinned segzily.
He leaned close to her hear before whispering.
” There’s no way you’ll stay with me overnight and remain clean the next day!. You’re gonna get crippled in the highest order, little” He grinned and her eyes surged in shock.
” Huh?” She blinked and he stepped back to stare at her adorable expression.
” Prepare yourself, I’ll drive you to my home after school” He said and her lips formed a fearful pout. The whistle was blown and he watched her as she quickly ran away from the pitch. She met Karen sitting alone and she went to sit with her.
” Aren’t you enjoying the sport?” She asked and Karen looked at her.
” I’m not a fan of sport. I’m just here to think about some few things” She said.
” Oh. My boyfriend is actually playing today that’s why I’m very excited.” She smiled.
” You seem to like him very much. I usually see you both together. He seems really cute for you.” Karen said.
” Awn, Thank you.” She shrugged. ” Have you gone on the visit yet?”
“Actually, I think I should forget about meeting your parent now. We should rather remain as friends”
” But…
” It’s fine, cutie. The pendant and birth mark thing could’ve only be a coincidence” She said and kelly sighed.
” I feel really sad about this. I was expecting good news and a sweet reunion” She pouted.
” Me too.” Karen sighed. The crowd began to jubilate and Kelly stood up and realised that Leo’s team were winning.
” Oh no!” She gasped.
” What’s that?” Karen stood up.
” He said I’m going to get crippled!. Lord help me!!” She said and started to run out of the hall instantly. Leo looked up and saw her running. He returned the ball to the coach.
” I’ll be right back” He said and hopped out of the stadium after her.

Frankie was still driving home when he adjusted the car mirror. He stared at kitten from there and he realised why she’d been quiet. Her face was dull.
” Kitten. Are you fine?” He asked and she bit her lower lips.
” Yes I am” She said.
” You’ve been quiet” He said.
” What should I say then?” She scoffed and he sighed and rode into the compound before taking off his seat belt.
He left his car and helped kitten to open the door before she stepped out, giving him ten steps apart.
” Thanks for the ride” She said and turned around, walking in quickly and frankie knew something was wrong somewhere.
The workers all greeted her as walked in and frankie finally held her wrist, stopping her from moving further.
” What’s the problem, kitten?” He asked and she turned to face him.
” I thought I came here to work, why are you stopping me from moving in?!” She spat.
” Your face doesn’t look good and I’m very concerned”
” Just stop this!. Stop being concerned!. I’m trying so hard to push you away from me but you keep on caring for me!” She yelled. He could hear the pain in her voice and he knew she was hurt. He quickly held her shoulders.
” Tell me, kitten. Who hurt you?. I’m ready to risk it, even if it’s my life” He said and she hiccups, sniffing hard as tears ran down her cheeks.
” No one hurt me. Stop pretending like you care”
” I care for you, kitten. I know you h@ťě me a lot but that won’t stop me from caring for you. My feelings are always true” He said.
She swallowed and dropped his arm off her shoulders.
” I’m fine. I’m not hurt” She said.
” Stop hiding your feelings. Lucas?. Is it him?. Did he hurt you?” He asked and when she started crying, he guessed that he was the one.
He suddenly hugged her, going against Lucas rule of being ten feet apart from her.
” I know he’s your boyfriend, kitten, but I also want to protect you. Lucas is a vampire and those creature are evil” He said and kitten eyes widened.
Her mind crossed the book she found at the library. VAMPIRE AND THE MATE!
” V..Vampire??. So he lied to me?. He was literally hiding his identity from me!” She yelled and she started sobbing instantly.
” Of course, He would. He has other plans for you that why he’ll never say anything” He said and kitten rubbed her teary eyes.
” I can’t believe he lied to me. He just broke my heart!. Perhaps, I was loving too much. I h@ťě the fact that I keep on getting used all the time!!” She cried heavily.
He quickly wrapped his hands around her and she soaked his coat with tears.
” I’m going to treat him like the beast he is soon, kit. Right now, you need is love and care and I’m not afraid to give it to you” He said and she clutched on to his coat, crying loudly.

*LUCAS HOSTEL*
Lucas dropped his bag on the sofa and leaned by the wall, tucking his hands in his pocket.
” Lucas?” Karen stood up from the sofa and walked up to him. ” Are you okay?”
He looked at her without lowering his chin.
” Where have you been sleeping all this while?” He asked.
” At my…friends place” She replied. He sighed and stared back at the ceiling.
Karen bit her lips as she slowly brought something out of her pocket. It was garlic!.
Lucas stepped back as soon as he saw it, his veins started ripping apart and he fell on his kneels panting and choking by the smell. Afterwards, he couldn’t control the urge making him pass out quickly on the floor.
Karen turned around and met Miles walking out of the kitchen quickly, along with two other men.
” The job has finally been done” She said with a little grin.
” Good job little girl” He smiled and the two hefty men walked forward and dragged Lucas up quickly.
” Take him to the car. We have to drive quickly before the garlic loose effect on him” He said and the men nodded, walking out of the room.
