“Mummy,” Dylan called running over to Laura
Laura bent a little and carried him up before proceeding to kiss his hair, she hugged him tightly sniffing his scent
“I missed you, baby,” she uttered worshiping his face with kisses, she proceeded to tickle him and he laughed so loud
“Mummy stop…. hahaha… Daddy tell her to stop…. mummy… haha haha my tummy,” he laughed trying to get down but she held him tightly
Conner cleared his throat, his both hands stuck in his trouser pocket
That when Laura looked at him, the smile on her face disappeared instantly
“It’s 5:58,” Conner started while checking his wristwatch
“I brought him back just in time,” he added with a smile
She maintained a straight face
“Emm… here is your child support,” he handed a check over to her
Laura took it, opening the white envelope immediately, she looked at him
“$800,000,” she asked staring at his face
He chuckled and nodded
“Finally you decided to pay, I guess next payment will be after he marks 10 or 11,” she rolled her eyes
“I… emmm I was wondering if you could come with us to the movie tomorrow cos…..”
“No, never! not in this life, not in another life, not ever, it will never happen,” she cut in rudely
He swallowed and went closer
“Why do you h@ťě me so much?” he asked with those innocent eyes

“Get inside, now!” she snapped at Dylan and he ran inside crying
“What have you been telling him? Listen conner, wh@ťěver this is all about I’m not interested, you made It clear to me that I wasn’t what you wanted, I wasn’t good in bed, I’m too bossy, weird, not up to your standard, can’t cook or clean, too loud…..”
“But it has been years now, I made a mistake for saying all that, don’t you believe in a second chance,” he asked cutting in
“Asked the cops that question cos I’m calling them right away,” she took her phone
Conner took it from her and without thinking she slapped him hard across his face taking back her phone from him
He held his burning cheeks
“f-__-king stay away from me, I’m still the old girl who won’t take your bullshit, nothing has changed in me…… what am I even saying? I’m calling the police,” she fired angrily
Conner ran to his car instantly, ignited his car engine, and took off at high speed, if the cops sees him with her then it’s jail time for him
He doesn’t wanna go to jail, not now.

Loud music could be heard coming out from the compound, men and women filled the whole place
Some were dancing while some were drinking, some were kissing already while some were making out, the place was more like a clubhouse cos many unholy things were going on in there
David just sat on his chair alone drinking and staring at the dancing ladies
“You sure you don’t wanna grab one of them?” Ashley asked while settling down
He looked at her and chuckled shaking his head negatively
“Nah, it’s not my kind of thing,” he replied like a gentleman
“Say’s who? Men are always men…. they can’t do without @zz,” she said teasingly
“You said men, I’m David, not men….. No the difference,” he said
“Haha, playing the cool guy game, huh?” she asked with a smirk on her face
He looked at her and suddenly find her interesting, he never had much interest in her so why the sudden change? Oh, maybe because she applied makeup
“Are you done drolling?” she asked in a mockery tone
“Don’t go ahead yourself,” he scoffed and stood
Just then the big door opened, Alex and George came into the place holding hands, huge smiles on their faces
The music stopped and all Attention was on them
“Thought it’s a crocodile party?”

“So what are wedding people doing here?”
“I was going to ask the same,”
“Maybe they came for the party also,”
“Wearing a wedding gown,”
“It isn’t actually a wedding gown but it can also be used as one,”
“What’s the difference?”
Murmures filled the air as they walked in
She was wearing a white body hug tiny hand gown, a bouquet in her right hand smiling all the way
“Oh no, don’t tell me…” Danica stopped right before them, staring from one person to another
“That’s correct, we just got married,” Alex shouted happily
“She’s now my wife,” George added before placing a soft kiss on her lips
“Congrat man,” Rex said from behind
Alex quickly gave him a hand glove, after putting on the hand glove George started shaking hands with people one after another while Danica took Alex away
“Alex, you can’t be seriously married, right?” she asked with seriousness
Alex just chuckled showing her the wedding ring and her marriage certificate
“What about the promises? What happened to them? You got married without telling anyone, not even me or Joy….”
“Put Joy out of my way cos she’s the course of everything, and I’m sorry for not telling you but I was afraid you might tell Joy and she will ruin everything,” Alex said pouting cutely
“Come on, you should be happy for me, I never wanted to get married but he changed everything, I only f-__-ked one Ďïčk for the past three months isn’t it something to be proud of? Please sweet Candy don’t be mad….”
“I’m calling Mom,” Danica said cutting in, while shifting away from her

“You know I h@ťě pranks so better stop it,” Mrs. Greenwood replied

“of course, you are, you of all people should know Alex by now, she made it clear that she doesn’t want to get married or are you….”
“Mom, she’s married, as I speak to you right now both Alex and her husband is at my place,” Danica cut in
“Which Alex?”
“Alexander Greenwood, the one you adopted when she was 8…..”
“No…. no…. no.. something is wrong somewhere, is there a witch in her husband’s family? There must be a witch in their bloodline, Alex’s my little girl married? No that can’t be. What happens to the Ďïčks of Chicago?” Mrs. Greenwood asked, she still didn’t want to believe it

Meanwhile, Joy just stood a few meters away from them watching, as memories came rushing into her mind
When Alex’s saved her from bullies, always taking the blame for everything that happened no matter what it is, she badly wanted to talk to her but her pride won’t let her
“Are you sure you don’t wanna go talk to her?” Rex asked, she was deep in thought that she didn’t know when he got close
Joy was about to reply when the bouquet Alex was holding earlier landed on her chest and she caught it surprisingly, she looked around to see everyone staring at her
Alex just threw it to the crowd
“How did this get here…..” she stopped and looked back
Seems Rex came prepared cos he was already on his knees
“Oh please don’t do it…. no please don’t say it… please don’t… get up you jackass!” she said in her mind, her hand holding her mouth, bashing her lashes like something entered her eyes
“Dr. Joy Phillip, will you Marry me?????
