Jesse stood on his feet, wanting to leave since he’s spent more than enough time already with Gladys.
He hugged her slightly, then cupped her face.
” Tell your mom I left already… I have something to do at home, so see you tomorrow” He smiled and she pecked his lips.
Jesse walked out of the house while Gladys waved at him as she watched him leave.
” He’s so cute ” She gushed and left for her room.
Frida left her hiding place.
” Why do I feel odd about this guy?” She wondered.

∆∆ MARIANO’S MANSION°°
It was almost evening and the guys were still chit-chatting. Mariano had left for his room already since he’s not the type to talk unnecessarily unlike Steve and Eduardo.
” I wish I could sleep here but that long neck wouldn’t let me” Eduardo said, which made Menodora laugh.
” You noticed that too? I thought I was the only one who noticed” She laughed again.
” He’s got the neck of a giraffe ” She added and the guys laughed.
Eduardo stood up while Menodora raised a brow.
” It’s getting late and we need to go home” Steve said.
” Oh, right!” She exclaimed, standing up too.
” See you another time” Steve said and made to hug her but Eduardo pulled him out of the house.
Menodora chuckled and went after them.
She watch them enter the car until they drove out of the compound. She left back to the sitting room and stared at the door to Mariano’s room, it was slightly opened. She peeped in, and when she saw no one she headed to Rose’s at once.
She got there and met him squatted Infront of her. He didn’t hit or do anything to her, he was just staring at her as she shivered.
” I detest you so much! How could you even think of poisoning me after I did everything to please you? Was it because I saw you ki|| them? Or was it because of your dirty secret? was it because of the man you called your husband? Just why did you think of ending my existence too, huh?” Mariano yelled in tears.
” What did I ever do to you? I respected you and did everything you wanted, but in the end… ” He sniffed.
” You ki||ed me… you f_cking ki||ed an 11-year-old boy, How could you? Just why, Mom! ”
” You forbid me from making friends, I did listen to you. You made me h@ťě Dad, though he deserved my hatred. I did everything because I loved you.. but what happened?” He said, tears dripping down his cheek.
Rose was in tears too.
” I’m sorry ”
Menodora’s eyes kept getting bigger as she heard those words.
” Louis, get Doctor Grey to treat her” Mariano staggered as he stood on his feet.
Menodora quickly ran back to the sitting room before he could leave Rose’s room.
Mariano wiped his tears as he left Rose’s room to his. He got into the bathroom and began crying like a baby.
He cried for minutes before going under the shower. His eyes were red and swollen as f_ck. After he was done, he headed to his mini wine bar to drink.
He did not get to hit Rose today, so he decided to drink himself to stupor.

Jesse was still staring at the glass in his hand when Larry, his personal guard came in.
” Boss” he bowed.
” What about the research?”
” None of them has parents.. they’re just orphans who worked as strippers to earn a living” Larry replied.
” Firstly, send the video of my make out with the strippers to Frida with my demands, and if she hesitates, ki|| this girl first” He showed Larry the picture with him.
” Is this Bijoux?” Larry asked, but Jesse stood up from his seat. He dropped the glass of whiskey and started heading to his room.
Larry bowed his head slightly before sitting Infront of the laptop.
” Leave it for tomorrow morning” Jesse stopped him.
” I’ll visit her tomorrow ” He added.
” I’ve got you boss, I’ll go ahead with the editing ” Larry replied and Jesse nodded, entering his room fully.

Groups of thugs kept chanting “ Santiago ” as a luxury car drove into the compound.
The car stopped and a plump, tall-looking young man in his late 30s alighted from the car.
” Boss ” Charles and the other boys chorused. Santiago smiled slightly as he proceeded into the house.
Charles and his gang followed behind.
Santiago nodded in satisfaction at how organized and clean his house looks looked. He sat down on the couch and leaned against it.
” Who are these people?” Santiago asked, referring to Charles’ friends.
” Oh, here’s Drank and the one on my left is Garrie” Charles replied, and the boys bowed.
Santiago just maintained a blank expression.
” It was a hectic day for me, Charles. You can drop by the mansion tomorrow, I’ve got a mission for you” Santiago said.
” Alright boss” Charles said and bunch of dollar notes were thrown at him.
” I believe y’all will do a good job”
” Sure boss” They chorus. Santiago left the sitting room while the boys left the house

∆∆ A WAREHOUSE°°
Santario kept pacing around the place while his boys just stare at him without a word. They had done their research, yet they still couldn’t find nor trace the whereabouts of attorney Bills.
It was kinda frustrating cos Santario knows Ruby to be short-tempered and someone who h@ťěs it when his plans don’t go his way.
” Why don’t we keep Menodora alive? She’s the perfect bait if we ever wanna get to attorney Bills” Bob said and Santario sighed.
“I should ask Ruby to give us enough time then… I’m sure we’re gonna get him no matter where he’s hiding. It’s a small world after all” Santario muttered.
” But… Where do you always go to, then come back a bit relief like you’ve discovered something thrilling” Bob asked teasingly.
” Did you find Bills?”Santario asked instead and Bob chuckled, as he went to meet the other boys.

∆∆ MARIANO’S MANSION ~ 11 PM°
Mariano didn’t leave his room after he left Rose’s room which got Menodora very worried.
“ Did he not hit his mom because of her? Was he granting her wish?” She wondered as she stared at the door to Mariano’s room.
” He hasn’t eaten dinner yet” she said worriedly… ” It’s none of my business, I shouldn’t care too” She mumbled, and slowly, she started heading towards her room, but stopped after taking a few steps.
” I should at least cook for him, since he did the same for me” She muttered and checked the time, it was 11 pm already and everyone was asleep in the mansion.
She headed to the kitchen to make something for him. He didn’t come out for lunch and also didn’t show up for dinner. The only food in his stomach was the breakfast Eduardo brought.
She started cooking and in no time, she was done already and dished out the food for Mariano.
She proceeded to his room and knocked on his door, but she got no reply.
” He must be asleep” She pouted sadly as she turned to leave but the sound of glasses shattering got her attention
She gasped and entered the room. It wasn’t locked.
She met him seated on the bed, staring in a direction like someone was there.
His hand was bleeding, probably from the cut he got from the bottle while breaking it.
She placed the food on the table, then faced him.
“Mariano” She called, yet he wouldn’t even answer.
” Mariano..” She called again and sat next to him on the bed. He diverted his wistful gaze to her face, leaving it there.
He wasn’t in his right senses and the urge kicked in so hard this time, that he couldn’t control it.
He needed a p@zzy right now.
” Jeez! you reek of alcohol” She covered her nostrils.
” Are you okay?” She asked, but each of her words sounded like it was all a dream, it sounded distant like she was a thousand miles away.
He pulled her closer at once, kissing her roughly, not giving her any breathing space.
Her eyes dilated on their own and she tried to push him off, but he wouldn’t budge. He was super strong like he had the power of Heaven and Earth.
Just how much did he drink?
He pinned her to the bed and came over her, then it dawned on her the type of mess she’s gotten herself into.
She hit his chest continuously and bit his lips so hard that she tasted his blood, but he still didn’t back down.
He held her hands above her head as he kissed her roughly while she struggled with her legs.
He broke the kiss and stared at her face.
” Please let me go, Mariano” She cried loudly, but no matter how loud her voice us, it seems help wouldn’t come.
She was only in her nightgown, with no bra on, just her P@ŋtîēṣ.
” Mariano, it’s me Menodora. It’s me” She cried, but her tears wouldn’t get to him.
He tore her nightgown away with his free hand while the other hand held her both hands above her head.
She kicked his Ďïčk, but surprisingly, it still didn’t affect him.
” Mariano!”
He tore her P@ŋtîēṣ away too like a predator wanting to devour its prey.
He unbuckled his belt and she shook her head continuously, trying to break free.
Without warning, he entered her forcefully and she screamed her lungs out.
” No, please!!” She screamed again, hot tears leaving her eyes as he rode her roughly, breaking her tight walls.
