{NEXT DAY~~NEW ENERGY HOSPITAL}
Laura slowly opened her eyes, she made to turn over but the sound of a machine beeping made her stop, she looked around trying to recognize where she was when a little boy jumped on her
“Mummy,” a boy of about 6 yrs shouted happily
She sat up and carried him on her lap then kissed his both cheeks before kissing his hair, she looked up when another person walked into the room and the smile on her face vanished instantly
“What are you doing here?” she asked coldly
“Before you will ki|| me just know that Dylan called, I didn’t come on my own,” the guy Conner replied
She looked at her child and back at the handsome guy standing a few feet away from her
“Get out,”
“he called…”
“I don’t want to hear it so just leave,” she cut in instantly
“I’m not saying you should hear it but Dylan called saying you didn’t come to pick him up yesterday and you didn’t also return home so he has to come looking for you and when he didn’t see you at your boss’s place he has to call me so that’s how I came here,” he explained
She was silent
He gulped and went closer
“Can I take Dylan for….”
“No, never,” she cut in short
“I just want us to go fishing and also visit the park and…..”
“I said no Conner,” she snapped rudely
Conner is her Ex-boyfriend and baby daddy, they were once lovers till something happened between them and she already had a child for him, they both filed for custody but it was given to her, he can only visit on her own terms, he did something that made the court terminate his visitation and restricted him from going close to them
“Come on Laura he’s my son,” he said getting pissed off
She scoffed
“When was the last time you paid child support?” she asked staring directly into his eyes
He swallowed nothing, stretching the back of his head, he hasn’t paid her a dime for two years
“I’m calling the police,” she took her phone
“Laura please I just wanna be a dad for once,” he pleaded softly
“Tell that to the cops when they get here,” she replied and dialed 911
“Okay, I’m leaving,” he shouted waving his hand in surrender, he looked at Dylan trying so hard not to melt down
“Bye buddy,” he left, wiping his eyes with his thumb
“Baby,” Laura carried Dylan up but he was sobbing softly
She narrowed her gaze
“Is there a problem baby…”
“ I wanna go with daddy please, just this once, please mummy don’t say no,” he pleaded in tears

A few minutes later
Laura stood before the young man who came earlier with Dylan by his side
“No chocolate cake, no orange juice, no fruits cake and bring him back at exactly 6:00 if not I’m calling the cops,” she said with seriousness
“Yes ma’am,” he replied with a smile, he was so happy, he will get to spend time with his son after the court restricted him from getting close to them
“Have fun baby,” Laura said to Dylan and she chuckled
“Yes ma’am,” he replied
She watch them go into his car and they drove off

{ALEX’S APARTMENT}
“Danica crying can affect your health and that of your babies,” Alex said knocking softly on the door
Danica was silent
Her apartment has two rooms so Danica was giving the other one while she shared one with George
“Danica please,” Alex said again
No reply
she has been crying none stop all night, if you see her right now her eyes are puffy and red, you won’t recognize her
“Where is she? What happened?” Joy came in
Alex rolled her eyes before walking away, Joy looked at her and Ashley went closer
“It’s 11:01AM but she’s still crying, she even cried all night that I find it hard to sleep,” she explained
Joy’s eyes widened, she was so shocked
“Danica… Danica open up,” she said, knocking on the door
She still didn’t say a word

DONOVAN’S MANSION*
Laura entered the house to see everywhere scattered
“Have got a whole lot of work to do,” she muttered and took her cleaning equipment going upstairs
She will start from there
She suddenly stopped when she saw Donovan laying on the floor, countless bottles of liquor all over him
“Oh my goodness, Donovan,” she shouted and rushed to him
He has a cut on his lips, and a cut on his arm with his clothes covered with blood
He was wasted
“Oh boy, what happened,” she asked trying to take off his clothes
Donovan hit her hand away, he has been drinking all night and couldn’t sleep, he ki||ed his father and his wife also left him
Nobody loves him so there is nothing left for him
“Donovan you need to take off that clothes…..”
“She left me,” he uttered, trying to stand on his feet
“Who?”
“She said she loves me, she told me she was lucky to have me in her life, she said I was all she wants and she will always be by my side but she left,” He staggered to the door
She was confused, what happened to the jewelry and the decorations?
“Don what about the jewelry…..”
“She caught me f-__-king a Ɓîtçh, I was drvgged, and believe me I would never do anything that will hurt her, okay? But then….. I’m outta here,” he opened the door and left
“Donovan wait,” Laura shouted going after him
Donovan went to the pool in his drunk state to see Anna floating on top of the pool, he jumped in and dragged her out by her hair
“Now I’m a murderer,”

{AN HOUR LATER}
David returned home with his mother after she got treatment, cops were everywhere taking notes of what happened, they stopped Mrs. Winfrey
She started telling them her own story before moving over to David
After the whole investigation, Mrs. Winfrey told them that she ki||ed her husband out of self-defense
They handcuffed her
“Mom, what are you guys doing? Are you crazy?” David shouted at them, trying to go over to his mother but two cops blocked his way
“We need her statement at the station,” One of the cops said
“No, she didn’t……”
“It’s okay David, I will be just fine, take care of your siblings,” Mrs. Winfrey said, she faked a smile as they dragged her into the car
The ambulance took off with Mr. Winfery’s corpse while the police officers left with Mrs. Winfrey
David ran his hand through his hair frustratingly
“No, I can’t let you go to jail for a crime you didn’t commit,” He muttered, going over to his room he opened his door and startled
Moving back a little, Donovan sat magnificently on his couch waiting for him
“What… What are you doing here?” He stuttered
Donovan chuckled, he has a gun In his hand
“Isn’t it funny that I have become a murderer? Anna is dead, your father is dead, Mom is with the cops and my wife left me, Are you happy now?” He asked and sniffed
David was silent, what could he say when Donovan has a gun
“She loves me but it was all Anna and your Father that put me in this mess, she stood by me when everyone failed me, even my own strength wasn’t enough, she committed a brady violation, going against federal laws just so I wouldn’t die and this is how you all made me repay her?” He yelled furiously
“Donovan, we can talk this out…..”
“She used her power to keep me out of harm, I wasn’t the best husband but she never complain, it’s just her and Mom that truly love me, just the two of them but you Anna, and Father vow to destroy me by turning me into what I’m today,” he pointed the gun at David, his index finger fixed perfectly on the trigger
“Slow or painful death? Choose one,” Donovan said, he didn’t want to but he has to
“Donovan you’re my brother, please let’s talk this out, I didn’t know that you were going through…..”
“Do you want me to choose for you?” Donovan cut in, his eyes red, the real Donovan was gone
“Donovan listen…..ARGH!!!” David screamed out loudly, a bullet just went into his leg
“Make it fast, slow, or painful death?”
