” RECKLESS REKKY”

” Mayor! Mayor!” Mirabel called after him as she pursued after him.
Mayowa was charging away from the house. He almost got into his car when he stopped. He remembered from the future that was the car he drove. He wanted to change the course of everything. He ran back into the house…
Mirabel saw the way Mayowa turned back swiftly to the house…
” Oh my Goodness, something has gone wrong with Mayor.’” Mirabel thought.
Mirabel with shaky hands started dialing a number even as she walked towards the security post.
” Madam, good Morning!” Ayo the security guard said
” Good Morning Ayo, my husband is not feeling too well today. I think he has a high fever. Shut the gate and give me the keys” Mirabel said even as her phone was dialing someone.
Ayo was lost as he looked towards the house. His Madam’s fear was confirmed as he saw his boss going towards one of the abandoned cars in the compound.
” Ayo!” Mayowa called out
” Yes sir!”
” Open the gate!”
Ayo knew something definitely was wrong. For starters, the car was almost like it came out from a dumpster. Was his boss trying to drive out a dirty car?. Ayo knew the best thing was to give Mirabel the keys.
” Thank you!” Mirabel mouthed at Ayo as she continued her conversation with the person she was speaking with over the phone.
By that time, Mayowa had driven the car to the gate. He kept blaring the horn as a signal for Ayo to Open the gate.
Mayowa stepped out of the car when he realized what was happening…
” What’s going on? Mirabel! I am fine. I just need to get to somewhere really quick!”
” Mayor!”
” Don’t call me Mayor! I am Mayowa!”
” Since When?”
” Since I was born.That is my birth name!”
” And you suddenly just remembered few minutes ago? Mayor, you are not fine and Doctor Mike is on his way to check on you!”
” MIRABEL! You think I am crazy?”
“No! God forbid! How can I think of that? I only think you are losing your mind!” Mirabel said
“You are saying exactly that!”
” Mayor…!” Mirabel was saying but when she saw Mayowa’s reaction of calling him Mayor, she took a pause before continuing with her statement.
” Mayowa.. if you are Okay, then tell me where you are rushing off to.”
” It’s complicated…I want to go and preach to a couple who may lose their lives tomorrow “
Mirabel became white with shock.Followed was an outburst of laughter and tears.
” You? Preach! Mayor, You are very unwell!” Mirabel hissed and walked back inside putting the key in her pocket.
Mayowa looked at Ayo expecting him to open the gate, instead Ayo raised his hands in surrender.
” Madam has taken the key with her!”

Martins sat on the bed chatting with Chioma on his phone as Rekky was applying some makeup on her face.
” She is getting ready for one of her escapades!” Martins texted
” Stop her! You should seriously!” Chioma replied
” Can Rekky be stopped? The good thing is, I am very unfortunate fortunate she doesn’t want to have s..x with me. She thinks she is punishing me, she doesn’t know she is helping me overcome my connection with her!”
” I just think she needs help… Sometimes we do things we can’t control!” Chioma replied passing a silent message about her bedwetting predicament.
“Can we stop chatting about her and talk about more serious things?” Martins texted
” Like?”
” Like a weekend getaway with my best friend and FIRST LOVE!”
” Get away?♀️?♀️” Chioma replied and immediately went offline.
Martins smiled at Chioma’s abrupt disappearance. He knew there was no where she was running to. By Monday, the divorce paper would be ready. Chioma didn’t know about it and he was sure when she finds out, she would warm up to te idea of them getting back together.
” What is catching your fancy?” Rekky said as she noticed her husband smiling through the mirror
” What?”
” You are smiling at your phone…someone texting you some love messages?” Rekky asked sarcastically
” No…just watching some comedy skits!”
” Share it!”
” You can check it out on your phone much later, you shouldn’t be late for your outing!”
Rekky gave the knowing smile. Wh@ťěver, he was doing was not something he was willing to share with her.
” I hear watching porn drains one’s mental abilities!” Rekky said
” Really? Good to know!” Martins replied sharply. He was not in the mood for her chit chat.
” So..” Rekky pushed on
” So?” Martins kept playing the game as well
” So, stop watching porn on your phone!”
” Really? Do I have a better alternative?” He retorted
” Can’t you do without s..x? Because I haven’t been with you for some months you are taking to Porn!” Rekky accused
” Rekky…you are unbelievably wicked! Rekky you are callous! Rekky , why are you bent on me having a miserable life. You go out everyday to sleep with men and I stay at home doing what? “
” Mopping like a child that you are…I told you before we got married…I told you I love adventure and if you are not man enough I will go out to satisfy myself…”
” I am not man enough?”
” Go out, try a lady and let her give you the honest truth..you are my worse man ever…!” Rekky said

” Mirabel..please let me out of the house. There is a couple I have to meet at their home this morning… particularly the wife. If she goes out today or tomorrow a lot of lives will be lost.” Mayowa pleaded
Mirabel walked away. She went into the bathroom with her son Austin and quickly locked the door behind her in fear. She was afraid Mayowa could hurt her with the desperation that shone intensely in his eyes.
” Mirabel,please open the door. We may lose our own lives too, the three of us will die on monday if I don’t go to their house today. I only have two days to get things right. Please Mirabel!”
Mirabel burst in tears…Her husband had gone mad.
