“It’s alright, Elle” Marvin consoled her.
“If mom dies, I will die too” Joelle cried heavily, her tears soaking his shirt.
“Shush, don’t say that. She’s not dying and neither are you” Marvin sighed and kissed her hair.
Megan looked at her crying and this was the first time she ever felt sorry for her.
After almost an hour, the doctor came out of the ER.
“Doctor, how is my mom?” Joelle sobbed.
“We were able to save her, luckily the bullet didn’t hit any of her organs but she lost a lot of blood but that also has been sorted out and she is out of the woods” the doctor said.
Joelle heaved a heavy sigh of relief.
“That was so scary” Joelle cried in Marvin’s arms but they were tears of joy.
Megan found herself smiling that it wasn’t too late before she told Marvin.

William’s mansion ***
Andre got home and saw no one in the sitting room.
He sighed and limped upstairs. He really wanted to avoid trouble because he was weak and tired.
Andre reached his room and turned on the lights as he entered.
“Hi son”
Andrew was startled to see Richard.
“Dad” Andre muttered and walked to him.
The door opened and Alexis walked.
“Dad, why did you call?” Andre asked in a low voice.
“I just called because I want you to explain how you dare sell 20% of the company’s shares and transfer the money to your personal account!” Richard thundered.
Andre stared at him in confusion “What are you talking about?”
“Don’t play the fool, boy!” Richard yelled.
“Here it is,” Alexis smirked and went to give Andre the documents that showed that shares were sold and money transferred to his account.
“These are all fake, I have never been interested in the company’s affairs” Andre yelled in his defence.
“Oh really?, then prove it” Richard said seriously. He didn’t believe a word Andre was saying.
“I am sure because I didn’t receive any alert because there was no transaction!” Andre said and checked his phone but to his surprise, he actually received an alert.
Richard snatched the phone from him and saw the alert.
“You bastard!” He punched Andre in the face.
Andre staggered and fell to the floor.
“Stand up, bastard!” Richard yelled and raised him up by his collar.
“Dad.. Please” Andre muttered weakly, he could see the place spinning.
“After all I have done for you , you still had the guts to steal from me!” Richard spat and punched him again.
Alexis smirked and walked out of the room.
He walked to a distance and made a call.
“Good job, Mr Jones,” Alexis smirked.

Next morning, Rania stood on the streets holding her suitcase and cat.
She left the house before any of them knew that she was gone.
Tears escaped her eyes and she sighed tiredly.
“Poppy, where would we go now?” Rania sobbed. Poppy mowed and shivered.
“You feel cold” Rania shivered as well and covered Poppy with her big coat.
“It’s so cold”
She brought out her phone and called Andre. It rang but he refused to answer.
“Let’s try one last time” Rania sighed and called again and he answered.
“Andre” Rania cried.
A groan sounded over the phone.
“Andre, are you okay?”
“Nora…”
“Andre, what’s wrong with you?” Rania questioned but the call got cut off.
“Andre!, Andre!” Rania yelled.

William’s mansion ****
Andre had successfully sent his address but he doubted that she would come..
He was bleeding from his head and nostrils, his face was bruised and his body was sore.
Andre could only whimper weakly and sit up.
He looked horrible from the brutal beating he received last night.
The door suddenly flung open and it was Richard holding a belt.
“Dad… please” He could hardly say his words. His body was shaking, his head was pounding terribly.
Richard came forward and lashed him with the belt despite his awful appearance.
“Thief!” He yelled and lashed him.
Andre let out a scream and rest came out as sobs.
Meanwhile Rania got to the house, she was allowed inside because she said she was Andre’s girlfriend, the security guard allowed her in because he was used to bringing different feminine faces.
Rania heard the scream and ran inside along with Poppy, the door was open and she walked in. She stopped Poppy on the floor and left her suitcase.
She could hear sobs and loud sounds of whips.
“Andre!” Rania called upstairs.
She went to where she could hear the sobs.
She barged into the room and her eyes widened at the awful sight.
Andre looked disastrous and terrible.
“Andre” Rania gasped and looked at Richard who was shocked to see her.
“You, son of a Ɓîtçh” Rania yelled and ran to him.
Richard didn’t see it coming, Rania didn’t know where she learnt it but she suddenly flew up and swayed her boots’ heel to his face.
The heel hit his jaw and knocked him off his feet. The kick was so hard that one of his teeth fell out as a result.
Rania walked to him and began kicking him brutally. Richard could hardly defend himself from the assault. Rania remembered all that happened yesterday night and her anger increased, his ribs were making cracking sounds.
She grabbed the heavy belt from his hand and began whipping him in anger, Richard could only whimper helplessly as hee hard lashes hit his body, it even flung into his eyes.
“Aren’t you a man, get up and fight!” Rania yelled.
“No one, I said no one touches him!” Rania yelled with a fierce and angry look on her face.
Richard was wallowing in severe pain, he wasn’t crying tears, it was blood from the belt that hit his eyes.
Rania hit him again and spat on him.
“Bastard!”
