Amber was sitting in the bedroom when Kunle came back from work. He kissed her and sat down on the bed with her.
“You look funny.” He said, laughing.
“Really?” She asked, rasped.
“I’m sorry, what did you eat today?” He said. “Well, I was able to prepare white rice and veggies sauce.” She said and covered her mouth with her hand.
“I told you never to go to the kitchen, you shouldn’t be working.” He said to her.
“Actually the baby…the baby again?” He cut her off with a question. “Yes, honey.” She replied.
“Okay, allow me talk to him.”
“Now?” She asked. He glanced at her and exhale heavily, “Yes now.” He mumbled.
He squatted, as he touched every side of her belly, he smiles and began,” Little man, I understand that you love momma so much but she’s also my wife, please don’t make her work herself out. She’s carrying you and she needs rest too, please don’t do it again.”
“What if he repeats it again?” Amber asked. He rolled his eyes, “Com’on, I’m trying to make things right. He’s listening to me, okay. Don’t go to the kitchen again.”
“What if the cook is not around, can’t I cook?” She asked, he looked at her and didn’t say a word for that moment. She thought that, she has won with a question, that has choked him.
“You can’t cook.” He gave her a response to her question. She pouted and eyed him slowly, acting like kid.
“Are you serious?”
“Yes, whenever that happens call me and I will be there to get everything done. I don’t mind placing an order.”
“And what if I don’t like what its ordered?” She asked.
“You still can’t cook, I will come back and cook for you.”
“So, I will just sit down and watch you cook?” She asked. Kunle was already getting tired of her questions, “This pregnant is something else. She always asking questions.” He thought and shook his head.
“Lemme join you.” She said. “Eh!” He remembered what happened some days in the bathroom.
“You better stay here.” He mumbled. “I promise, I won’t do anything joor. You ehe!” She said, hitting his right nípple, he looked at the spot she touched and smiled. He carried her to the bathroom and washed her up, she blushed as he went on her V.
A Mõ@ɲ escaped her lips, as he rubbed it softly. He looked at as she Mõ@ɲed, “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean it, you just have you way of doing things.” She said, smiling.
“You wanna get suck?” He asked.
“Yes…No.” She stammered, as she remembered how she played him in the bathroom.
“He might want to payback this time.” She thought.
“You won’t know, when I will payback.” He whispered, snapping her out of her thought.
After eating the sweet rice and veggies sauce, she wasn’t satisfied yet. She went to her husband, who was sitting in the garden, receiving fresh air. She sniffed and closed her eyes as she perceive the delicious aroma of party jollof.
“Can you perceive anything?”
He sniffed, and shook his head, “No.” He replied. “Oh goodness, where’s your nose? I was asking the security guard, if there’s any wedding or birthday party, but he said no.” She said, feelings sad.
“So, you want to eat party jollof?”
“Yes.” She replied. “But, we just finished eating the sweet white rice and sauce you prepared.” He said.
“But you said that, you’ll cook anything I want, but I don’t want you to cook for me. I just need to ask around to know if there’s anyone cooking such meal.” She said.
“Okay..” He muttered and stood up, he went to the house to see if he can order for what she asked for.
Amy told the security guard to go out and see if there’s anywhere, that they are having a party, you know. He came back and said no.
“What do you mean, by no?” She asked, angrily. “I’m sorry ma.” He apologized.
“Wh@ťěver, please go back to your duty.” She said and left the house, she was walking down the street, when a man on a bike drove passed her, she stopped him.
“Hey! Hey! Hey!” She yelled and immediately, the man stopped and revised and stop in front of her.
“Good afternoon madam.” He greeted.
“Good afternoon, please I’m looking for where they’re having a party, so kind of celebration.” She said.
“Alright, madam. I know of a place, they’re having a traditional marriage.” He said.
“Okay, please take me there.” She pleaded.

After almost twenty minutes ride, they got there and she came down and was about to leave, when the man asked for his money that was when she remembered that she didn’t came with her purse.
“I don’t have any money with me.” She said.
“Which one be you no get money you?[What do you mean by you don’t have money with you?]” The man asked, angrily.
“Please..madam no please me abeg, wetin be this one? Please madam don’t please, what’s this?”
“What’s the matter?” A young lady asked. “Actually, I don’t have any money with me, I was looking for a place where a party or celebration is going on, I was in a haste and I forgot my purse, all because of party jollof.” She said, sadly.
The young lady smiled after listening to her, she understood her condition and gave the man his money.
“Thank you so much.” She said, smiling.
“It’s nothing, please come this way.” She said, Amy followed her immediately even without knowing where they were going.
“Mide, I have been looking for you.” A woman said. “I’m here.” She said. “Please get a plate of rice, right now.” She said to the woman, she left.
“Your name is Mide?”
“Yes.” She replied, smiling. “Wow, at first I thought she was referring to me.” She sigh and smile.
“Your name is Ayomide?” The young lady asked, Amy nodded in response and smiled.
“Seems like you’re the one getting married?” Amy asked. She nodded and muttered, “Yes.” But gave a heavy sigh after the response.
“Why did you do that?” Amy asked. “You mean the sigh?” She asked.
“Yes.” Amy replied.
“I’m scared, I don’t know what my marriage will look like. I’m doing this for my mom, she is the pleading that I should marry him. To be truthful, I don’t know much about this man but we’ve hang out couple of times, he’s good looking and smart.
I’m scared because I don’t want my marriage to be like that of my mom and dad, he was never there for us.”
“I was in that shoes, about the parents and this marriage of a thing. But now I can boldly tell anyone, tell you to give a try. You won’t regret it.” Amy said.
“Don’t feel sad, he’s the right man for you.” Amy said. “And what if he’s not?” She asked.
“He won’t come looking for you.” She said, as she sighted a man with the same attire, she turned and smiled at her Amy.
“Babe, I have been looking for you.” He said, softly and greeted Amy who couldn’t help but smiled as he cupped her cheek.
“I’m here.” She replied. “Are you busy?” He asked and glance at Amy. She looked at Amy, but she gave a sign to go with him, besides it’s there day. “No, let’s go.” She said, they left.
The woman came back with the food, and Amy was still eating when they brought extra two takeaway. She thanked her.
Kunle has been looking for her, luckily he was told about this traditional wedding going on, he drove down there and saw his standing by the road side with the food in the nylon, she had on her hand. He parked the car and whine down the glass, she smiled as she saw him and showed him the stuff she had on her hand, he chuckled and get down to open the door for her.
“I’ve been looking for.” He said as he hopped into the car and drove off. “Sorry, I told you that I wanted this so much.” She said, smiling.
“I know, at least you should have told me before leaving.” He said.
She remembered what happened, with the guy that dropped her off. She didn’t want to tell him about it, “I’m happy that, I saw you.” He said.
“Yeah, let’s go home. I have a lot to eat.” She stated with a smile. He smiled and revise the car and drove out of the place, when they finally arrived at their destination, Amy came down from the car and carried her food inside without talking or even spare him a glance.
“Ahh! This woman will be coming up with different characters, everyday. Oh God please help me.” He said, raising his hand up and put them down. He remove the car key and walked into the house.
He saw in the dinner eating, he didn’t want to disturb her. He just make use of the stairs, he dropped the key and off his clothes and walked into the bathroom, he had a quick shower. He came back to room and get another clothes and shorts. He wore it and laid on the bed.
Some minutes later, Amy was done eating she thought he will be coming to the sitting room to stay with her, she waited but he didn’t show up.
So she went to the room and saw him laying on the bed, she sighed softly. He raised his head as he felt her presence, she removed her clothes and walked naked into the bathroom. He looked away as she off her clothes in his presence.
