He turned around to leave only to reach an unexpected punch
Cyprus touched his mouth before staring at the person that just punched him
“I said back off, which of the words didn’t you understand, huh? Don’t you understand English?” Hunter shouted angrily
Cyprus said nothing, his face expressionless
“Am talking to you,” Hunter shouted
“You have no idea, do you?” he asked in his deep cold voice
Hunter scoffed and went closer
“Do you think you can scare me?” Hunter asked, pointing his index finger at him
Cyprus maintained a straight face, staring directly into his eyes
“Don’t push it,” he said and Hunter threw him a punch
Cyprus vanished and the punch met with the air, Hunter looked around but he was nowhere to be found
“$h|t,” he cursed

SAFE HOUSE * SAME NIGHT *
“Hey, Robin have you seen Cassidy?” Ren asked, walking up to him
Robin just sat quietly on his bench, he didn’t even spare her a glance
“Robin,” Ren called when she get close
He looked at her, a big frown on his face
“Have you seen Cassidy?” she asked and he rolled his eyes then scoffed
Ren raised her brows
“Robin, what was that for?” She asked baffled by his attitude
Robin looked at her and rolled his eyes again
“Didn’t you say that we are quarrying? that I shouldn’t talk to you? So why are you talking to me, huh?” he asked staring at her like a joke
“Robin, my friend is missing and I need to find her, can we talk about this some other time and ….” she stopped when Robin start blowing whistles with his mouth, his eyes closed
“Robin!!!!” Ren yelled and others looked their way
“I won’t talk to you, I know you will tempt me but temptation go away from me, am trying to make it clear go… go…. go, temptation go,” Robin said, moving his hand forward
“Robin come on,” Ren shouted frustratingly
“Where you not the one that said I should not talk to you? So what do you want me to do now? Why are you even talking to me when you said I should make it clear before talking to you? Am trying to make it clear so go, maybe tomorrow I can see if it’s clear enough,” Robin complain and pouted
“Okay am sorry, have you seen my friend?” Ren asked calmly and he looked at her
“You’re sorry? So you have joined the liers?” Robin quickly sat up since he was resting his back on the wall behind
“What do you mean?” Ren asked confused, crossing her hand behind her back
“Were you not the one that told me that your name is Ren and now you’re saying Sorry. Since when did you change your name from Ren to Sorry? Oh! You now change names every day right?” Robin asked, opening his eyes as if to swallow her
“Robin, I mean, am sorry for telling you not to talk to me, not the other way round,” Ren replied, her hand on her forehead
Robin looked around
“Which way round? Am only seeing on way here and you’re saying other way round, Oh!!! is that also your name? I should have known you have too many names,” Robin said, he relax back on the bench
She finally lost it
“Have you seen my friend Cassidy or not, it’s a yes or no,” Ren asked seriously and he rolled his eyes
Ren stood there staring at him and he didn’t even look at her, she just looked stupid, how can she ask him something and he will feel less concerned about it? Is he ever serious??
”You know what? Forget it, I will go find her myself,” Ren said angrily, she turned around to leave but he quickly held her hand
“Where are you going? I thought……” she didn’t let him finish his statement before pushing him off
Ren walked away without looking back, Robin just stood there with a big frown on his face
“She said Robin don’t talk to me again, have I made myself clear? And am here trying to make it clear and she’s angry again. The other time she said her name is Ren and now she said …. she’s… she’s… sorry then next other way round,” Robin mumbled staring at Ren who was talking with some people
“Do you think you will confuse me? I will just stay here and think of a way to make you clear since you haven’t made yourself clear then tomorrow if you’re not clear enough, I will take you to the river and clear you, very simply,” Robin said, smiling to himself

NEXT MORNING* GATHERING
“How many soldiers are still fit?” Hunter asked, staring at Xavier
“Total number of soldiers 100 then we lost 79 in battle Captain Derek was one of them, 9 has serious injuries and can’t continue the fight which left us with only 12 stable men, out of the 12, 5 wants to retreat so right now we are only left with 7 men who are whiling to fight,” Xavier explained briefly
Hunter looked outside only to see Miguel staring at him, he didn’t know what to do again. How is he going to fight with only 7 soldiers? Is that even possible?
“I will see if I can borrow some army from Cyprus, I’m still the general commander of his army,” Kalinda said from the door
They all looked her way and Viola was the first to move forward, hugging her tightly as if she wanted to choke her
“I h@ťě hugs,” Kalinda whispered into her ears and she let go of her
Kalinda smiled lightly as she stopped before the table, which has the map of the city
“Welcome back,” Jefferson said gently and she smiled lightly at him
He blushed instantly but quickly covered his face, she looked at Hunter and their eyes met, he looked away instantly shaking his head
Like, he didn’t understand, she was looking all beautiful this morning and different too, her face was so smooth and her skin was fresh like a newborn baby’s own
“And if Cyprus refuses?” Xavier asked with seriousness, the look on his face alone tells a lot
“Then we get the people to fight,” Kalinda replied

“People of our city, it’s so painful that we have lost our loved ones and the demon who put us through this is still outside waiting for us, are we going to run away from our home? Should we let him ki|| us all, the answer is NO!!!! we have to fight for our land, it is time to fight,” Xavier said
Everywhere was silent, everyone exchanging glances as if waiting for someone to speak up first
He looked back at others with a sad face, Xavier climb down from the table at the center of the city where he stood, he went back to others
“I think we are all gonna die,” he said sadly
“Not under my watch,” Kalinda replied moving forward
“Where are you going? The people don’t want to fight it obvious,” Jefferson said
Kalinda looked at him and then smirked, without saying a word she climbed the table
“let’s see what she has got,” Viola mumbled and Hunter who was beside her nodded
“LISTEN UP!!” Kalinda yelled at the top of her lungs
As if talking to the deaf, everyone stopped what they were doing to stare at her

She could hear murmurs from the crowd but she didn’t care
“My name is Kalinda, daughter of the late last high priestess Habita, People of the city we are no cowards, we need to fight for our lands, our father was born here, his father’s father was also born here, this is our home and we can’t just let some twisted wraith of evil come and take it away from us, it is time to protect our women and children, it is time to protect our fathers land, my sword and I will rather die protecting this land than run away from it, this is our home,” She shouted, her sword raised in the air

Voices from different angles covered the whole place as the crowd jumped up and down, those who were leaping stood straight, and those who has a wound on their legs forced themselves up
Kalinda walked up to others and they all looked at her shocked, like how the h*ll did she do that?
“How did you do that?” Xavier asked, he looked behind her to see men who are ready to fight to the death
“When you’re talking to the people you act like a leader and they will listen,” she replied walking way
“He did that,” Jefferson replied
“No he didn’t, he was reading a book,” she replied and Xavier pulled her back, he gave her that “ what do you mean looked
“Are you saying…..”
“For you to be a leader you need to act like one, you’re telling these people to give their life so when talking to them communicate with their mind and soul, not just the body, let your words sink into them and speak with power then they will listen, now let go of me,” Kalinda said hitting his hand off her
“How did you…..”
“Have been fighting all my life,” She cut in
“I’m fighting for the women,” Draco said coming towards them
“This is not the time for this,” Xavier said, staring angrily at him
He was just mad at the way Draco uses women and no one would do a thing about it
“Well have f-__-ked more than enough women already and only a few of them are yet to testify of anaconda but don’t worry cos my armies and I will fight,” Draco replied, his father’s army was right behind him
“I think we are almost close,” Hunter mumbled
“We are going with a witch’s plan, I have to do something tricky this time around,” Viola said and Draco smiled
He made to spank her @zz but Kalinda blocked it, she held his hand tightly before squeezing roughly, as if trying to break his bones
