Getting out of the changing room she bumped into a broad masculine chest. “Ahh.” She winced lowly and was about to fall but he caught her by the waist.

She slowly opened her eyes as she didn’t meet with the ground as expected. Her eyes dilated in shock and her throat went dry immediately she saw him.

She felt a heavy lump on her throat as she stared at him. His thick eyebrows, pointed nose, he was wearing a blue contact lens and he looked more handsome in it. Her eyes trailed down to his tempting pink lips and she gulped in nothing.

‘What are you doing?? Let him go. Push him off! Slap him!! Are you okay?? He’s a guy for crying out loud!! Slap the fool! Kick his balls!!’ Her subconscious mind kept yelling at her but it was as if her whole body became numb.

She didn’t feel like acting tough at that moment otherwise he should be a goner by now.

“You really like bumping into people and falling afterwards.” Miguel smirked.

As if coming back to her senses, she slapped his hands off her waist, pushing him afterwards.

“What…” She ran away before he could complete his sentence. She so much wanted to teach him a lesson but she couldn’t.

After finding out that she had gotten a very far distance from him, she stopped running to catch her breath.

She touched her racing heart. What’s happening?? Why was her heart racing all of sudden… It stopped so many years ago so what happened??

Was he… No, No… He can’t be him. Why was all this happening?? What silly mess is this, she wasn’t ready to face her past… Not now, not ever.

“Ma’am.” She jolted from thought, seeing Camila.

“Are you okay??” Camila asked and she nodded slowly.

“Yes. Let’s go.” She said in a calm tone, surprising Camila.

She stood in shock watching her leave. ‘Did she hit her head somewhere?? Why the sudden change in behavior??’ She wondered, still standing transfixed.

This can’t be… She just hope it’s true… It will be very good.

“Camila!!” Came the cold authoritative voice, making her jolt back to earth.

She looked up to see her boss glaring dangerously at her. ‘That was it, a leopard can’t change it’s spot.’

She thought walking to her in a haste.

FEW DAYS LATER…
≈ ADAMS’S MANSION ≈

She got into the living room to see her parents seated on the sofa, probably waiting for her.

She walked in further, with her straight face but her mind was wondering why her parents summoned her.

She doesn’t live with her parents, so she was been called.

“Baby.” Her mom called rushing to hug her.

“Enough now.” She said and her mom broke the hug, hitting her head.

“Still rude, hmph!” She scoffed as she went to seat on the sofa, facing her dad.

“Be quick with wh@ťěver you’ve got to say, I’ve got to go back home.” She said as soon as she sat down.

“Must you always be rude?” Mrs Adams asked and Yolanda sighed.

“Let it be.” Mr Adams said, ignoring her nonchalant and rude attitude.

“So how are you doing??” He began.

“Dad??”

“Okay… I’m sorry for asking about your welfare.” He apologized.

“So… I called… We called to inform you of a big decision we made.” He began and frowned.

‘Big decision, how is that even my business??’ She thought inwardly.

“So Yoyo…”

“Yolanda.” She corrected.

“Yolanda…” He took the correction, he wasn’t in the mood to argue with her.

“So you know that you’re no longer a kid, you’re an adult already… 23 years… U ain’t a kid anymore. We think it’s time you settle down…” Yolanda furrowed her brows, wondering where this conversation was heading to even though she had a clue of what they were driving at.

“This your misandry attitude isn’t helping matters so we’ve come up with a life changing decision…”

“You’re getting married Yolanda, you’ve been betrothed.” He said at once, after a short pause in speech…
