Chapter 24
“DEAR DIARY,”
I finally made a choice, a choice if being with Martin again. I just want to make peace with myself, I don’t want to stop myself from being with the one I love. I might not like his behavior but I will make sure I change him. A smile curve on her face as she wrote on her diary.
Hmmm my dad called today. Hearing his voice was something that brought joy to me yet sadness. I git drunk today at work and hmmm martin took me to his home and it was the first time I got into his home. It hurt like hell knowing fully well he is going to route in jail for a crime he didn’t commit.
He said I should come visit him and bring ava along with him but I am really sacred. She sigh tears flowing down from her eyes and then stare at her father picture placed on the wall.
She drop it gently on the table and walk into the bathroom. The latter who was laying on the bed took the diary and started reading it.
(Next day)
The sun shine brightly through the open window and find it way towards evelyn who was sleeping peacefully on the bed.
The groan lightly and cover her eyes due to the ray of sunshine that shine towards her face.
She smiles and stretch forth her hand, yawning loudly.
She feel so happy, she feel so relieved and she didn’t even know why or she was trying to lie to herself that she don’t know why.
She look sideways but find the bed empty and almost immediately the door open revealing Ava dress in a short and a black crop top.
“Aren’t you going to school today?” Evelyn ask and Ava scoffs staring at her weirdly.
“Are you okay? It is weekend,” She replied and evelyn just made a “oh,” sound. She didn’t even know it was weekend.
“I wish I could get a day off,” Evelyn groan and sat down on the bed. She look towards ava who was staring at her weirdly making her frown.
“Is anything okay princess?” She ask in a concern tone and the latter just fake a smile before walking into the bathroom and evelyn frown.
Something was wrong with her little sister, she just know that.
She wore her slippers and walk out of the room humming a song.
She just feel so happy right now and she can’t just stop smiling.
She walks towards the kitchen and grab a apple from the table. Almost immediately Ava walk in dressed in a blue Gan.
“Going somewhere?” Evelyn ask.
“We have a speeling bee today at our school and I am among the people who are going to participate so I was thinking you could come along with me,” Ava said and evelyn sigh.
She really wants to be there but her work.
“If you don’t want to be there. It is fine,” The younger fake a smile and rush to the room
“Ava,” Evelyn called but she didn’t reply her.
The door bell rings and evelyn open the door only to see martin standing on the door, guards around him as always and evelyn rolled her eyes before opening the door for him and he walk in majestically.
“You look beautiful Evelyn,” He whispered in her ear and evelyn couldn’t help but blush even through she tried to hide it.
She was still in her night wear though.
“Hmmmm I woke up late today. Martin am sorry so you will have to wait,” She said pouting her lips and martin just nodded giving her a tight smile.
He was kinda angry though. Yeah he is a man that don’t like to be late to work and now he is going to be late because of evelyn but he didn’t dare scold her.
“Give me a minute,” She said and walk to the room.
She open the door slowly only to meant with Ava crying silently and she sigh before hugging her.
“Hey, i really wanna be at the speeling bee but I can’t. I am going to work,” Evelyn said and ava scoffs.
“You can tell your boss to give you a day off. I want you to be at my speeling bee, I mean you are the only family that is available right now then why won’t you come with me,” Ava yells crying and evelyn just stare at her.
“I know you never care about me so suit yourself,” She yells.
“Okay fine, I will be at your speeling bee. It is a promise,” Evelyn said smiling and the younger hug her tightly.
“Make me proud okay,” she said patting her hair and she nodded.

“302,” A police officer yell and a man in his late 50 walks in. The cell open and a police officer drag him out harshly making him glare at him angrily.
“Move,” Another police yells and push him out.
“Jackson,” A man in his late 50 called. He was tall and one could tell he was of no good. There were two men standing beside him while he sat on a chair with his leg crossed.
The man eyes widened in horror as he stare at the man smirking dangerously.
Jackson sat on the chair facing him while glaring angrily at the other man who just chuckle.
“What the f-__-k do you want? I did exactly what you ask of me,” Jackson said more like a whispered and the other man scoffs.
“Yeah but do you really think I am that stupid? I know you want revenge and so you sent men after me but I was quick enough to noticed them and for your information they are all dead,” The man said and Jackson eyes widened.
“f-__-k you. You thr_@ten to wipe my family apart except I did what you ask of me and so I did but I won’t stop unless you are f-__-king dead,” Jackson said.
“Oh really? Well maybe your little princess will have to answer that first. She has a speeling bee today but today is going to be her end,” He said smirking and Jackson eyes widened.
“Please don’t f-__-king do it. She don’t f-__-king know anything, she is just 10 years old man,” Jackson yells trying to move from the chair but he couldn’t due to the chain.
“Am done with him,” He called out to a police who walk toward him and drag him up.
“Please don’t hurt her,”
“I will and if you try sending men after me I will go for your beautiful daughter and wife,” He smirk and move away from him while they drag Jackson away.

“Anything the matter sweetheart, you look bothered,” Martin said and evelyn scoffs.
“We aren’t dating yet, so don’t call me that,” She said and martin chuckle and grab hold of her waist pulling her closer to him.
They were currently inside the car now heading to the company and they seem to be chatting casually than before. Both were happy, they seem so excited to see each other.
Love❤️. Love is something so beautiful, something so colourful that make two people crazy over each other.
“You are already mine Evelyn, you just haven’t realize that yet,” Martin said and evelyn couldn’t help but smile and she hit his chest playfully.
“Pass the test, then I will be yours forever,” She wink at her and martin click his tongue.
“Hmmm you really got me on this evelyn. You know this is like a death sentence. I h@ťě it when I see a man around you,” Martin said and evelyn just chuckled.
She sigh and suddenly rest her head on his shoulder. She didn’t why she did that, she could remember yesterday when she will push him away but she just felt like doing it. Inside of her she felt like she was already dating him even through he is yet to pass the test.
“We are here sir,” The driver said and a guard quickly rush and open the car for them.
Everyone bow down as he walk past them majestically while some stare at them weirdly.
They can’t seem to get over the fact that their boss had carried Evelyn.
“Hmmmm what are my schedule for today evelyn?” Martin ask as they walk into the office.
“You have a business deal with Mr Tom at 8:15,” she said reading the notepad.
“And that is 5 minutes from now,” Martin said looking at his watch and evelyn nodded.
“And the board members requested another meeting this morning at 12:00 am,” Evelyn said and martin rolled his eyes before pulling his suit and place them in the handle of his chair.
“What time is the meeting with Mr Tom supposed to end,?”
“Hmmm 9: 50,” Evelyn replied.
The telephone rang and martin pick it up at once.
“Yeah okay,” He said and ended the call.
“Mr Tom is here,” He said.
“Mr Tom we have the best computer equipment ever and working with us is going to improve your work,” Evelyn said.
A man in his late 30 sat at the chair staring at evelyn as she talk.
Who was he?
That is mr Tom? One of the richest men in new York and he also own one of the biggest club in new York. He wants to sign a deal with Martin company.
He lick his lips as he stare at evelyn which made evelyn uncomfortable and martin who was watching all this could not help but frown.
He really wanted to f-__-king pluck out his eyes but he has to bear with it if he wants to have evelyn back.
“Hmmm sir are you here to look at my secretary or here to sign a deal?” Martin said with a tight smile and Tom just chuckled. Evelyn who stood at the entrance of the room could not help but chuckle.
‘i know he was never going to change,’ Evelyn taught smiling while staring at him. Martin eyes met with Evelyn and he smile nervously. He was so scared, thinking he had failed the test.
“Please continue with the presentation eve,” Mr Tom said and evelyn nodded while martin just scoffs.
He was really loosing it. Only he had the right to call her the nickname “eve,”
“Hmmm okay. Our computer make more work easy especially. You can use a remote to control it whenever you want. Martin technique company make work easier,” Evelyn said and Mr Tom just smile.
“WaW I think I will sigh the deal,” He said winking at evelyn who scoffs.
“If you don’t want to sigh the deal then f-__-k off,” Martin said and Mr Tom frown.
“Please evelyn walk me to the car,” He said and evelyn nodded faking a smile while martin just frown but he didn’t waste time in walking after them.
“You are such a beautiful girl,” Mr Tom complemented and evelyn just gave her a tight smile.
She didn’t know why she feels so uncomfortable around this man but she didn’t like the feeling. She turn around and she suddenly feel relaxed when she saw martin walking behind them.
“You know you can own all of my property but that will only happen if you accept to be mine,” He said his hand rubbing evelyn face slowly and immediately pulled his hand harshly away from Evelyn face.
“You don’t harass my workers,” He Said and Mr Tom just chuckled.
“See you soon eve,” He smirk and the guard open the door for him while he walk in.
She turn sideways only to see martin glaring angrily at her.
“What?” She ask.
“Nothing,” He replied and started walking inside the company.
“Why are you angry martin?” Evelyn ask confuse or she was trying to get on his nerve.
“You know why I am f-__-king angry eve,” He yells making all the staffs turn towards them but they quickly turn their attention towards something else seeing how angry he was.
“You know you are f-__-king ruining the test,” Evelyn said as they walk into his office.
“I am sorry Evelyn, I taught he was harrassing you,” Martin said and Evelyn laugh.
“You are really something else,” Evelyn shake her head and tries to walk out but martin grab hold of her waist pulling her closer to him.
“I love you so f-__-king much,” He said and kiss her by the neck.
