Her loud steps could be heard as it hit the stairs violently.
Visible signs of tears were in her eyes as she ran so fast to her.
She dashed into her room and closed the door, locking it immediately.
Jeremy who was chasing after her got to her room and tried opening but discovered it was locked from the inside.
He stood at the door and began knocking on the door.
“Moanna please open the door, it’s not what you think, I can explain everything please open the door” He said, knocking on the door.
Moanna looked at the door and her hand moved to the key but seeing the scene she retracted her hand immediately.
“There’s nothing to explain Jeremy, I’m not your real girlfriend” She said.
“But we are engaged” He replied.
“You and I know the engagement means nothing to us, so don’t make a fuss about that, go away, I wanna be alone please” She said, hurt visible in her voice.
” Anna please.. I can’t leave, I know you are not okay, I’m sorry okay”.
” I’m perfectly fine, please go back to her, she will be waiting for you, it’s not good keeping your girlfriend” She said.
” She is not my girlfriend Anna, please open the door, let’s talk please” He said pleadingly.
” Go away please, good night” She said and moved away from the door.
” Anna” He called and continued hitting the door but after some minutes of not getting any response he ruffled his hair and looked at the door before leaving for his room.
Moanna didn’t know when she started crying, it was until something wet fell on her hand that she knew what was happening.
” Wait, why am I crying?”.
The scene flashed through her memory like a light and she felt the sting in her heart.
Why is she hurt after seeing that scene?
Is she in love with him?
Could that be the reason?
Her heart kept beating crazily for him, she missed him a lot this days, she feel comfortable and save around him…. this is a sign that…..
“f_ck my heart, he is a playboy, I can’t be in love with him, I need to stay away from him to ki|| those feelings before it get too late, how did I even fall for him”.
” I’m even crying, f_ck my life” She said and buried her face into the pillows.
But when she remembered how she was kissing him, she groaned jealousy and threw the pillows away.
She shouldn’t be feeling this way but she can’t help it, her heart is in control, she does things this days that she didn’t expect herself doing them.
Moanna laid and tried closing her eyes but her head was filled up with Jeremy.
She rolled on the bed and ended up falling to the ground, hitting her butts on the floor.
“Ahh” She winced.

Jeremy leaned on the door with his eyes closed, he kept thinking about Moanna and the fact that she got hurt was ki||ing him.
He vividly saw the hurt expression on face.
The fact that she is angry with him is making him feel so bad.
He didn’t know why he wanted to apologize to her.
“The engagement means nothing” He muttered.
“Did it really means nothing to us, my heart is acting crazy anytime I think about her, I enjoy her company alot, this feelings means only one thing” He said and walked to the bed.
” I will explain everything to her tomorrow, hope she will listen” He said and laid on the bed.
He tried to sleep but Moanna was all he was seeing.
He kept tossing on the bed as her face kept appearing.
” Jeremy!!” He whispered and touched his chest.
NEXT MORNING**
Jeremy was the first to wake up, and immediately be got down from the bed, he brushed and went downstairs.
He planned to prepared to Moanna’s favorite to earn her ears so he can explain everything to her.
Reason he is doing this is so unfathomable to him but he felt something in him pushing him to do it.
He felt like he has gone wrong against her.
He haven’t felt this way for anyone before.
As he kept cooking he couldn’t stop thinking about her.

Water could be heard in Moanna’s bathroom as she took her bath.
She woke up some minutes ago and the scene of yesterday kept ringing in her head even right now that she is taking her bath.
“I need to get rid of this feelings, that’s the only way to stop loving him, life is so unpredictable, I less expected to fall for him, why did it have to be him” She said in her head.
She finished taking her bath and stepped out of the bathroom.
The moment Moanna got downstairs she came across Jeremy who just walked out of the kitchen.
The moment their eyes met, her heart started beating so fast again and she had to look away.
“Anna” He called.
“I’m going to work, see you later” She said hurriedly.
“Wait, I prepared your favorite” He said.
“I don’t wanna have breakfast, thank you, you shouldn’t have wasted your time” She said and immediately walked out on him.
“Really, what is wrong with her?” He said feeling sad.
He went back to the kitchen and stared at the food he almost used one hour to prepared just for her.. she was the reason he prepared.
JOANNA’S PLACE**
Joanna came out of her apartment and her eyes widened as she saw Freddie leaning on his car, he was looking handsome maybe more handsome today.
Her heart skipped numerous times and a smile appeared on her lips.
He smiled at her immediately he saw her.
She smiled and started walking to him but her leg missed a step and she gasped as she started going down.
Freddie moved towards her in a flash and wrapped his arms around her, making their bodies to collide in the hardest way ever.
She looked up at her and saw him staring at her.
His eyes were on her lips and he swallowed hard as he started imagining himself kissing her.
He shook the feelings away and smiled before releasing her.
“Thank you” She blinked.
“Be careful next time doll” He said and she smiled.
“You came so early, I thought you were joking” She said.
“I’m only serious with my words, you look hot” He said staring at her dress.
Joanna felt her cheeks becoming red, she smiled trying to hide her blush.
“Thank you, I don’t need to compliment you, you are always handsome” She said.
“Will you be free after work?” He suddenly asked.
“Yes, why?”.
“I want us to go out, will that be okay for you” He replied and she nodded.
He took her hand as they entered the car, Joanna couldn’t stop smiling secretly.
MR LEO’S OFFICE**
Mr Leo had a face of disapprovement as he finished reading the chapter of the story Moanna wrote.
“What is wrong with you?” He asked.
“I’m fine sir”.
“You’re fine and you made this mistake, were you reading what you were writing? this is not you, you are the best writer after me in this company” He scolded.
“I’m sorry sir” She apologized.
“I can sense something is wrong with you, you should go home and take a rest, you can rewrite this chapter tomorrow” He said.
Moanna bowed and walked out.
Actually she need it, she couldn’t concentrate since we came to work, Jeremy had being the only thing in he head since morning, couple with the fact that she forcing herself to stay away from him.
It took her a lot of courage to snubbed him in the morning.
How can she do it when they are living together?
But she will try her best right?
“What did he said?” Joanna asked.
“I made a lot of mistakes in the chapters, he allowed me to go home, I will see you later bestie” Moanna said and walked out immediately.
” Something is on her mind, it’s so bored now and without her, I can’t wait for work to be over”Joanna said.

Jeremy walked to the swimming pool after searching the mansion for Moanna, he guessed she will be here and he was right.
She was sitting there and staring at the waters.
Moanna felt a presence behind her and she looked up to see Jeremy, smiling handsomely.
She almost got carried away by his enchanting handsomeness but she quickly snapped out of it.
“Here you are Anna, my guess was right” He said and sat with her.
Moanna looked at him and quickly looked away, there was something in his eyes that were making her heart to raced insanely.
Moanna suddenly stood up and Jeremy looked up.
“Anna” He called and stood up too.
“I think we should start avoiding each other”.
” Moanna”.
” Let’s stay away from each Jeremy” She said and Jeremy was so stunned.
She is asking him to stay away?
He felt his heart shattering away just by the feeling of staying away from her.
Can he really do that, he has gotten addicted to her company.
“Anna, what are you saying?” He asked.
“Please let’s stay away from each other, let’s behave like we are not living in the same house, h@ťě me like you did before” She said and started walking away.
Jeremy quickly ran to her and hugged her from behind, her body shook just by that.
“I can’t stay away from you, if it’s about what happened yesterday, I’m sorry, she meant nothing to me, please it won’t repeat again” He said as his eyes started turning glassy.
“You don’t need to explain anything to me, it’s not about yesterday but I want us to stay away please” Moanna said as tears trickled down her cheeks.
Heaven knows how her heart was hurting when she was saying that to him.
“Please don’t do this to me not when we have become friends”.
“Then let’s stop being friends” She said and moved away from his hold.
“Please Anna”.
She walked away without looking back at him, her tears were damping her too in the front.
As he watched her walked away that was how his heart was tearing away.
He didn’t moved a step, his heart shattered and he felt happiness abandoning him.
She has become a source of joy and happiness to him…and now she’s asking him to stay away.
“Anna!!” He shouted.
He kept staring at her backside, he felt his heart breaking into pieces.
“Moanna” He said and tears trickled down his eyes.
