NEXT MORNING
Amber woke up the next morning, with a heavy headache. She called Kelly to tell her that she won’t be coming to work today. She dropped the phone, before Kelly could ask any questions. The memories of last night came to her mind, she dragged her legs out of the room, she went to Kunle’s room but he wasn’t there, she checked the bathroom, but there was no one there. She came downstairs, to the dinning room, she notices a plate covered.
“Where’s he?” She asked herself.
“He’s angry with me, I can’t even find him in his room, not even here.” She said to herself.
She came to the living room, she was still standing when the door opened, it was her husband, he was talking to someone on the phone.
“Yeah, sure. I will call you back.” He said and hung up. She smiled at him, he smirked.
“I’m sorry about last night.” She apologized.
“It’s fine, I was thinking if I have offended you, or maybe it’s because of what happened in the kitchen, which am still sorry about. I didn’t mean to raise my voice at you. I’m just concerned about you, whenever you find out that you’re weak, exhausted don’t go to the kitchen. So that you won’t harm yourself.” He said.
“Alright, thank you. So you’re off to work?”
“Yeah and I fried your favorite, and egg. Make sure eat before going to work.”
“I hope you’re going to work this morning?” He questioned. “Yes.” She lied.
“Alright, take care.” He said and they shared a passionate kiss, before he left.
Amber quickly went back to her room, she removed her night wear and walked into the bathroom, she brushed and took her bathe. After that, she went to the wardrobe and brought out a neatly jumpsuit.
“This will be perfect for today.” She thought and smiled.
She wore the outfit and a high heel, she came down to the dinning room and had her breakfast before leaving for the hospital.

Amber arrived at the hospital, she sat down waiting for the doctor. She was also staring at a pregnant woman, she touched her tummy although she was clothed and prayed to be pregnant.
Some minutes later, a male nurse came to inform her that the doctor wants to see her, she went to met him in his office.
She told him everything and he reminded her that she was some months ago, that’s before she got married and he checked her.
He gave her the results, she smiled and remembered that she came for such check up. She left the hospital and went to her work place.
Kelly was surprised to her boss, Amber flashed her a smile. “I thought you said that you weren’t coming to work today.” Kelly said.
“I’m here. Any problem?” Amber asked.
“No, ma’am.” Kelly replied.
“Please get me the files and please get me coffee too.” Amber said, Kelly nodded and left, some minutes later she came back with the lots of files and coffee.
“Hey, you have take them one after the other. It’s not good like this.” Amber said,calmly.
“Sorry ma’am.” Kelly apologized.
“Anyways, thanks.” Amber said, Kelly was surprised, she looked at her boss surprised about the whole thing, normally she would yelled at her and won’t even thank her for anything.
“What are you looking at?” Amber asked, staring at the files. She knew that she was looking at her.
“Nothing, I will go my office now.” Kelly said, smiling.
“What about the girls? I hope they’re doing something about the materials and the new design. I’ve been busy these days that’s why I haven’t taken time to study it.”
“They’re good, ma’am.” Kelly replied.
“Alright.” Amber replied and sip from the cup.

HOURS LATER
Amber came back from work, by 2pm. She tooke her time and went through the results, she sighed and sighed loudly.
“Why can’t I get pregnant already?” She asked, herself.
She remembered what Kunle tell her this morning, since she hasn’t recovered from that thing Julian called, she ordered for food and some minutes later, the delivery guy came with it. She collected it and signed, the delivery guy left.
She sat in the dinning and ate, she dispose the the remaining and went to her room to freshen up, before Kunle will come back. She came out of the bathroom, her phone began to ring. She smiled as she picked call.
“Kim!” She called.
“How’re doing?” Kim asked, over the phone.
“I’m fine and you.” Amber replied, smiling.
“I’m good. I called to know how’re doing.” Kim said. “Don’t worry, Honey I’m doing good, and thanks for the dress, you sent. Mrs Femi, don’t be stressing yourself oh.”
“Oh, please. I’m not stressing myself. Just this small shopping you’re calling it stress. Anyways you’re welcome.”
“I hope you didn’t go there alone?” Amber questioned. “Femi and I.” She replied, smiling.
Amber smiled, “It’s good. I will call you back later, I want to do something.” Amber said, before Kim will come up here questions. “Alright, take care.” Kim said and hung up.

Amber and Kunle had their meal together, they stayed in the living room watching a movie, but soon Amber left him alone in the living room without saying a word to him.
He waited for a few minutes, thinking that maybe she will come back. But he didn’t see her coming back to the living room, so he switched off the television and every other necessary things and left.
He walked into the room and met her laying down on the bed, she left his own space. It’s unlike her, she would in the middle, he will be the one to cuddle her and they will stay there for some minutes.
He didn’t say anything to her, even if he do. She won’t say a thing to him, she won’t tell him what the problem is.
He thought, she was asleep. She felt him lay on the bed and kept rolling on the bed, after some minutes. He became calm, He slept off.
12am
She went to the bathroom, she didn’t go there to urinate or anything but to think on how to tell her husband to make love to her.
She came back to the room, Kunle was already up, but she didn’t know. She went to the bed and tapped him.
“K, please Com inside. I wanna get pregnant.” She dropped it, she didn’t know when it left her lips. She didn’t try to show him that it was a mistake or something, but she stood by it.
“What are you talking about sweetie?” He asked.
“K, you know what am saying. Okay, please get me pregnant, show me that you’re not an impotent. Just prove it to me.” She said, bluntly.
That word impotent, got him angry. “You think I’m impotent? The whole thing is because of this? You want my Com, right? Semen?” Kunle voiced changed immediately.
He went on top her, he wasn’t looking at her face. He went to her pant and tore it up like a hungry lion, although he wasn’t hungry.
He was rough on her. Amber broke down as hot tears, fell off her face.
“K, please. This is not the way you’d make love to me. K, please. K, please. Please penetrate like this.” She plead in pain. He was about to penetrate, when she said.
“Please, I can’t bear this any more, I can’t take this insult anymore. She keeps saying it to my face, that am barren. I’m a barren thing, I’m the problem.” She said, crying.
Immediately Kunle left, he didn’t mean to act this way, but he did it to know the truth. Since, she doesn’t want to talk about, when she left for the bathroom, he knew something was wrong. He thought of a way to make her say it. And was the better way.
He gasped and covered her with the duvet, while she looked away crying. “Who’s she?”
“The woman I told you about. She won’t let me breath, she always saying this or that, just to get me traumatized. I was almost falling into depression, I couldn’t tell you about it.”
“Look at me.” He mumbled and sigh heavily. “I’m sorry, come here.” He mumbled and she looked at him, he pulled her to his chest and wrapped his arms on her. He kissed her hair and told her that everything will be fine.
They stayed up for almost ten minutes, before laying here down on the bed. He apologized for what he did, like I said it was the only way to make her say it.
“Is there anyone pressuring you to get pregnant? My mom? Or your mom? Anyone? Just tell me.”
“No, mom is not doing that. We haven’t talked about that too, she believes that since we’re married that children will come.”
“Okay, do you still want to get pregnant now? It’s remaining a month Mrs Kunle.”
“I will waiting, I’m sorry I didn’t remember that we had an agreement. I was just….Shhh..” He shut her up, he noticed some change in her voice, she wanted to shed tears again.
“It’s okay.” He said to her. “Can I?” She asked, pointing at his chest. She really wants to lay on his chest. “Sure.” He replied, she went on and place her hand and head on his chest, he smiled and sighed softly.
