Giselle inhaled deeply as she took steps towards Josh.
He quickly shifted the chair giving little allowance for Elle to pass and seat.
She went past him and sat down. She adjusted her dressing and looked at Collins who walked to his seat which faced Giselle.
“Noona, what do you want to order?” He smiled now sitting down on his chair.
“Something light and uhh… cheap” She replied.
“Huh? Noona. Do you think I’m still a little kid that can’t get you what you want. Order wh@ťěver, I’ve got my card here”
“Your dad’s card?”
“What? No”
“Okay… Let’s see the food menu”
“Here” Josh replied taking the menu from the table. He handled it to her.
“Uhh, I’m gonna have this and this” She smiled pointing at some places on the menu.
“Okay, Noona. Waitress, please can you take our order?” He asked stopping a waitress who was passing by.
“Yes, what do you want?” The waitress asked smiling.
“Uh.. I’m gonna take this, and my–uhh, she’s gonna take this” He replied pointing at the menu.
“Okay, please wait. I’m gonna take your order.. But who’s she?” The waitress asked.
“Who? Her?” Josh asked using his face as a sign by pushing his face at Elle. The waitress chuckled and nodded.
“Well, she’s my–
“Sister. I’m his sister. He’s my little brother”
“Oh. Is this some sort of family meeting?”
“Waitress, It seems you talk too much. But I should answer that, right? Well… He decided to treat me to lunch. It’s been long since we’ve seen each other” Elle replied
“Oh.. One of you lived abroad then, that’s nice” The waitress said. She left them taking their respective orders.
“Aiish! She just spoilt my mood! She asks unnecessary and irrelevant questions!”Elle frowned.
She noticed Josh calmness and quietness and quickly shifted her gaze to him. He was unhappy and kept looking at the table.
“Hey? Kiddo, is everything alright with you?” She asked.
“Noona?” He called with sadness in his voice still looking at the table.
“What? What?” She asked.
“Who am I to you?” He asked slowly turning his eyes to her.
“You? To me?”
“Yeah”
“I don’t want to say it. I don’t wanna hurt the guy that saved me from bunches of bad thugs and had a wound cause of me”
“Just… Just say it, Jebal(Please)”
“Joshua, .. ….You’re just my friend’s brother. Nothing more, Nothing less”
“No. Who am I apart from that, who am I in your life?” Josh asked.
Giselle sighed and looked at him. He looked back while silence came in between.
“Josh, You are nobody to me–
“Here is your order! Enjoy” The waitress interrupted.
“Oh Thank you” Josh smiled inhaling deeply.
The waitress smiled and walked away.
Without uttering a word, Josh started digging into his food.
Elle sighed and looked at him.
“Joshua-She called but was eventually interrupted by Josh.
“Eat, Noona. Your food is gonna get cold, I’m also eating so table manners please” He retorted with a smile.
Giselle began to wonder if he actually heard her. She sighed and joined him in eating.
