DRESSING ROOM**

“I’m so proud of you sweetheart!” Paisley said happily, hugging Delaney so tight immediately they came in.

“I’m proud of myself too” Delaney replied, and Carina stroked her hair.

“Our baby, you made us proud” she said, and Delaney smiled.

“Gosh!, I love you so much Delaney” Melinda pecked her.

“I love you guys more” she replied.

“Delaney!” Gigi rushed in to hug her too.

“I’m so proud of you baby!” She shouted, kissing her hair.

“Thanks baby, though my blood ruined your dress, I promise to buy it” Delaney replied.

“Wait…you actually got stained?, Was that why Mavis did that?” Paisley said loudly, and Delaney nodded.

“I was going crazy as I wondered why, he’s so romantic!” Carina gushed.

“Tell me more!” Gigi smiled.

“Can’t you just date him?, You can make him stop smoking” Melinda winked.

“Go away y’all” Delaney replied and rolled eyes.

“And I love this spaghetti gown, I’m sure he got it too, one in town, you’re the first one to wear it trust me, it’s a new design” Paisley said.

“Mavis got it too?” Carina asked.

“Yeah, plus my shoes and pads” Delaney replied.

“Arrggghhhhhh!!!” The girls screamed.

“Mavis I wanna date you!!!” Carina screamed, and they all laughed.

“Gosh, he’s caring” Paisley said.

Sydney was hearing everything from where she stood beside her wall locker.

She threw down the lipstick with her and slammed her locker shut before rushing out of the room.

“Someone that has S at the beginning of her name is dying soon” Melinda sang.

“After the stupid S, it’s a yucky Y” Paisley sang along.

“After Y comes a dumb D” Carina sang.

“A nonsensical N came after the D” Gigi sang.

By now, they’re all jumping as they sang.

“E for eew!, Comes after the N” Paisley added.

“And another yucky Y is the last, scream her name!” Melinda shouted.

“SYDNEY!!!!” They all chorused.

“What should I do with you girls?” Delaney laughed as she opened her locker.

She saw a letter waiting there.

The girls were still singing as she brought it out and read.

★I’M SORRY… FOR EVERYTHING★

She checked her phone immediately, and his message was already there.

★I’M NOT A GOOD RUNNER, I WANTED TO PROTECT YOU BUT MAVIS WAS FASTER…. I’M SO SORRY DELA★

She sighed and changed to her normal dress before leaving the room with the girls.

Dylan was already waiting outside, backing the wall.

He went on his knees in front of her just like yesterday.

“Forgive me, please” he said guiltily.

Delaney avoided his eyes and left him there, walking away.

Dylan stood and kept standing like a fool, finally letting out his tears.

He wiped the tears immediately they fell, and his friends joined him.

“I’m not understanding anymore, why the public apologies on your knees man?” Midas asked.

“Did you do something to apologise for?, Dude” Trevor asked.

“I’ll be in the lounge” Dylan replied and climbed the stairs, leaving them there.

“Thought you said you’d find out why” Trevor said.

“Guess I’m not that smart” Midas replied.

“Thankfully you know” Trevor replied, and they both laughed as they climbed the stairs too.

“What’s going on between you and Dylan?, Why is he always kneeling in front of you?” Carina asked curiously as the girls got to the park.

“It’s personal, stop probing” Paisley replied.

“Oh…sorry” Carina replied, looking at Delaney.

“Hey Șëx¥ love!” Mavis shouted from behind them, coming with the shopping bag containing the goodies.

He handed it to Delaney with a wink.

“Heard girls crave for sweet things during their flow, they’re all in there” he said.

“I don’t need..

“I won’t take it back, so you better take it” Mavis interrupted, and Delaney sighed.

“Fine!” She rolled eyes and he opened his car door.

“Get in, I’ll drive you to your jobs” he offered.

“I’ll take this to the hostel” Paisley took the goodies from her and she got in the car with Mavis who drove away.

NEXT DAY★MMC**

It’s the football match day between the seniors and the Juniors, and the guys started changing into their jerseys immediately they arrived in school.

Juniors are wearing blue while seniors are in green

The cheerleaders started changing into their uniform too. A short white flayed skirt on same colour of pop socks and white shirt, hair in a bun or ponytail.

Leo came out of the class tiredly, and the first person he met was Gladys. Since he got discharged from the hospital last night, he hasn’t set eyes on her.

He changed direction immediately, and she ran to him.

“Leo wait!, Leo!”

She held him but he pushed her away from himself, and she fell heavily on the ground, hurting her arm.

“Ouch!, Leo!”

“It’s automatically over, they weren’t wrong cos I’m really a fool, I’m a blind dumb fool, but it’s all over right now, if you come closer I’ll bite you” he said coldly and walked away.

Gladys stood slowly, then Madelyn and Sydney joined her.

“Welcome to the world of single girls like us” Sydney said.

“Welcome babe!” Madelyn laughed.

“Wh@ťěver, not like I love him” Gladys replied.

“That’s the Ɓîtçh I know!, ki|| em!” Sydney shouted, and they all laughed.

“You should start distributing your invitation cards against tommorow, birthday girl” Gladys said.

“Sure, can’t wait to turn twenty!” Madelyn gushed and they laughed again as they left for the stadium.

Paisley came down from the stairs and squinted, she actually saw everything.

“They broke up?” She said to herself, and someone suddenly hugged her from behind.

She smiled prettily, knowing who it is immediately.

“Boiffy” she said, and Lexi kissed her neck before turning her to himself.

“Aww, my baby looks so cute in the cheerleading uniform” he said, and she smiled.

“All dressed to cheer you up, I’ll scream your name throughout” she replied.

“I love you” he smiled.

“Same here boiffy” she replied.

He leaned in and pecked her lips.

“I have a gift for you after the match, meet me in the broadcasting room” he said.

“Sure” she replied.

“Let’s go to the stadium together” he said and held her hand.

He made an interlock before kissing it, then he pulled her away.

STADIUM***

“Where the hell are the girls?” Carina said, looking around for them as the football was about to start.

“Hey!” Trevor’s voice made her look back.

Immediately she saw him in the blue jersey, looking so hot, she turned to leave but he held her.

“Did I do something wrong?, Thought we’re friends, why the avoidance?” He said.

She looked him in the eye and her heart started thumping.

“Need to find my team” she said and eventually ran away from him.

“What’s up?” Trevor muttered.

“Hey Trevor” Melinda waved in front of him, and he smiled immediately.

“Hey, you’re not part of the cheerleading team?” He asked.

“No,I missed the audition” she replied.

“Dude!, The formation is starting!” Midas shouted from the far front.

“Bye!” He said, rushing away.

Melinda smiled, biting her lip before walking away.

“What’s this?” Trevor asked when he got to Midas. He’s eating a sweet.

“Luck sweet” he replied, bringing out many of it from his pocket.

Trevor took one and ate it. “Why is it so spicy?” He asked, squeezing up his face.

“High pepper concentration” Midas replied.

“Who kept sweets on the table in the lounge?” Dylan asked, coming behind them.

“Why?” Trevor asked.

“I ate one and mistakenly swallowed it, how can a sweet be spicy?” He said.

“Why the f-__-k would you swallow it when you know you’re a ulcer patient!” Midas shouted, and the referee blew the whistle.

They all rushed to the field immediately.

The cheerleaders stood at a safe part of the stadium with Delaney in front of them, Madelyn stood far from her.

Delaney led the songs, and the rest sang the chorus, they started moving like they practiced, waving clustered confetti in the air.

The formation got completed after some minutes, and the match started in full swing.

After five minutes, Dylan started feeling unbearable pains in his stomach, and he started slowing down the whole thing.

It was at this period that the seniors scored a goal, and the cheerleaders screamed so loud, jumping higher than before.

“Dylan what’s up with you?” The Juniors coach asked, and he smiled lightly.

“I’m fine, I’m sorry” he replied.

“If you can’t play football then leave the field, no one forced you” Mavis said spitefully.

“Dude, what’s up?” Midas and Trevor asked at a time.

“I’m fine” Dylan smiled.

The match resumed, and the stomachache increased rapidly.

Dylan held his stomach as he passed the ball to Mavis.

Mavis would have passed it to the seniors net and score a goal but his ankle got sprained immediately, so he lost balance and fell on his butt

At the same time, Dylan fell heavily on his back, holding his stomach so tight.

“Aarrgg!” He groaned, sweating so much, remembering the sweet he swallowed.

“Dude!” His friends and the other team mates started rushing to him.

“Mavis!” Sydney shouted from the crowd and ran down the field to him.

“Dylan!” Madelyn shouted, throwing down her clustered confetti.

She made to run to the field but Delaney was faster.

Delaney threw down her confetti too, then she ran so fast to the field.

Mavis smiled when he saw her coming, but the smile disappeared when she changed direction to Dylan’s spot.

She got there and knelt beside him, then she raised his head to her laps.

“Dylan!” She called, and she temporarily forgot about the stomachache.

She just called his name!

“Dela…” He squeezed his face as the pains came again.

“You ok?” She asked, looking so worried.
