Ava laid on Olivia’s bed,disgruntled.
She laid on her back facing the ceiling,but was restless as she kept changing positions.
“I guess your mum was a wh-_-re,that’s why she gave birth to you without a father” those words continued to sink into her brain.
“Hey,Ava. Are you okay? Her friends asked her.
They saw the worry and her uneasiness.
She’s been in that state since they got back to the hostel.
“I am fine” she simply said and turned to back them.
“I don’t think you’re fine,Ava. You’ve been like this since we came back.
“See,we are very happy about what you did to her,and we were totally shocked too.
“You did very well,we are very proud of you for not letting anyone talk about your mum in that manner” Olivia said.
“You should be happy,baby,not sad” Winnie said,trying to cheer her up.
But Ava wasn’t happy.
This is how it has been all her life,humiliated every time because she has no dad.
“You won’t understand, guys” she mumbled within.
How would she start explaining to them that she doesn’t even know who or what her father looks like?
If she tells them,they’ll all agree that Ivy was right.
Cos who comes to this world without a father? At least,he was once lived or something.
“I am fine,babies. See? She feigned a smile.
“Come here” they all said and did a group hug,hugging her tightly and warmly.
“Would you like a chilled yoghurt and some cookies? Winnie asked.
“No,I’m okay” Ava said.
“That’s not true,you need to cool off your head” she said and went into the kitchen.
Their hostel isn’t any kind of hostel,it’s an enormous one as a matter of fact,and the kitchen is a big one.
Well,what do you expect from billionaires children.
Winnie went into the kitchen and got the most chilled yoghurt, got a plate and poured some cookies in it before taking it to Ava.
“Thanks,baby” Ava said as she collects it from her.
She cutely started gnawing on it as the place was silent for a while before Winnie spoke.
“When are we starting our project? We only have one week to do that” she said.
“I don’t know yet,maybe we should talk to Jaxon,so we can fix a day to start” Ava said.
“That grumpy guy! I still can’t believe I got paired with him,how are we even going to interact with each other,jeez! Winnie said.
“Awww,and I so wanted to be paired with him” Freya blurted.
“Huh? Everyone asked.
“Are you crushing on him,or what? Olivia asked.
“What,no! Can’t I just wish to be paired with someone? She rolled eyes.
“I think Freya is in love,she’s beginning to fall in love” Winnie sang and started twerking rubbish again,trying to tease Freya with her a@zz that never shakes.
“Noooooo….not again! They all screamed and bursted into a loud laugh.
AVA’S RESIDENCE ★ 8:00PM
“Ava baby,dinner is ready” Rose shouted from the sitting room.
Ava came out,not really looking happy though.
Her mom noticed it and been asking her what the problem is,but she keeps saying she’s fine.
“Vee” her mom called her sweetly.
“What’s the problem, tell mummy what is wrong,would you? She said.
Ava sat down while her mum dropped the food on the middle table.
She still kept quiet and said nothing.
She started poking the food with her fork,and nothing has gotten in her mouth.

“Where’s my dad? Who’s my dad?
“Is he dead? Did he abandon us and left? Did you get separated?
“Just tell me,mum! She yelled.
“Ava,calm down and eat your food.
“Stop doing this,mummy. This is what you always do each time I ask about my father, you always find a way of changing the topic.
“Just tell me already, am I bastard? Do I really not have a father? Ava said with tears already flowing down her cheeks.
She left the food and ran to her room,sobbing.
Ava banged the door after her.
She sat on the floor,backing and resting her body on the door.
“Dad,I don’t know what happened between you and mom,and I don’t know if you’re alive or not.
“If you’re not alive,may your soul rest well.
“But if you’re still alive,I know we will meet one day,sooner or later” she tries to cheer herself up,but more tears ran down her cheeks,freely.
Rose was left in the sitting room alone.
She got up and went to Av’s room,she knocked but Ava refused to open.
“I want to be left alone,mum” she said from inside.
Rose closed her eyes and inhaled deeply before exhaling.
“I’m sorry,baby” she muttered sadly.
