? CHAPTER 70?

Swayer froze immediately he said that. She wasn’t sure she even heard him right and so just to be sure, she had to ask again.

“What did you just say?” She asked blinking severally.

Sebastian sighed and moved closer to her, cupping her face.

“I love you Swayer and I’m sorry it took this long to tell you. I just wanted to be certain that it was real and even after I realized it, I was afraid of accepting it because of how I got hurt the last time.” He said not breaking eye contact with her.

Swayer just stared at him without saying anything. What was she supposed to say anyways? She was really pissed and all of a sudden this?

Sebastian realized she wasn’t going to say anything anytime soon so he did the only thing he thought he could do to at least convince her that he’s serious.

He leaned in and kissed her deeply. Again Swayer became a statue as she was lost in thoughts. She didn’t kiss him back neither did she push him away. Sebastian noticed this and broke the kiss himself.

“Why aren’t you saying anything?” He asked still holding her face.

Swayer inhaled and slowly removed his hand from her face, taking some steps backwards to create enough space between them.

“I’m sorry Sebastian but you can’t love me.” She muttered.

“What are you saying? I’m sorry about what happened to you but you can’t use that as an excuse to turn me down..”

“That is exactly why I’m turning you down!” Swayer cut him off.

“You took too long Sebastian. If you had just confessed your feelings for me long before now then non of this would have happened!” Swayer yelled.

“I don’t understand. What exactly are you talking about?” Sebastian asked with furrowed brows.

“You know exactly what I’m talking about. Ivory would never have the intention of taking you away to discuss god knows what if you had confessed earlier! I waited for almost an hour and you still weren’t back. You totally forgot you were with someone and I’m guessing that’s when that guy noticed me!”

“Swayer I’m sorry that you had to go through that but you can’t pin it on me. You don’t expect love to happen by force now do you? one has to be certain before saying these things and…”

“Blablabla. I don’t care about your opinion on what I said. I don’t love you and that’s it.” Swayer cut him off.

Sebastian chuckled, stepping closer but she took some steps backwards.

“You can’t lie to me Swayer.” Sebastian said with a smile.

“Well you’re right about that and so let me tell you the truth.” Swayer said stepping closer this time.

“It was all a bet and none of it was real. I was only nice to you because I wanted to win the bet. I dressed hot and wore make-up just to look good enough for you to notice me. I purposely got stuck in quicksand so you would get worried about me. Everything that’s ever happened between us was all a lie. How is that for the truth.” Swayer said, folding her arms across her chest.

Sebastian was quiet for about ten seconds before letting out a short laughter.

“Are you kidding me right now?” He asked shaking his head.

“If you don’t believe me go ahead and ask your precious Ivory. After all, she was the one who came up with the idea. We all placed a bet to see which one of us can get you to say those words and I guess I won.” Swayer smirked and Sebastian’s mood changed immediately.

He finally realized she wasn’t joking.

“Tell me you’re joking.” He said, silently praying that she wasn’t serious.

“Can I go now? I’m tired and need some rest before the last class begins.” Swayer said walking past him but before she got to the door, Sebastian pulled her back, grabbing her shoulders.

“Look me in the eye and tell me you don’t love me, then I would believe all you’ve said.” Sebastian said with a serious tone.

Swayer looked up and the moment their gaze met, she felt like taking it all back. She began telling herself she made a mistake but it’s already too late. At least she found a way to tell him about the bet but she had lied about the quicksand and looking good for him and the fact that everything was a bet. She only wanted to say something to make him go away as she was really pissed at him but maybe she might have overdone it.

’Well, I guess I have to finish what I started.’ She said within before returning her gaze to his eyes.

“I.. I don’t love you.” She forced herself to say and Sebastian immediately let go of her.

“Thank you for reminding me why I never wanted to fall in love again. Thank you for making me feel like I could fit in this school when it was all an act. Oh and thank you for using my sister as well to get to me. I’m sure you never really cared about her. Natasha was right all the time.” Sebastian said and Swayer almost told him that’s a lie but he walked away immediately.

She turned back and saw him unlocking the door. He went out immediately without looking back. The moment the door shut, Swayer felt a sharp pain in her chest and she dropped to the ground, crying like a baby.

“What the f_ck did I do!” She screamed, pulling at her hair.

“So what if he left you for Ivory at a party?! He still saved you! He’s been nothing but nice to you! He’s saved your life more than once already! Why would you say such nonsense!” Swayer kept yelling at herself.

“It was just one stupid incident! Why let it drive you mad! You’re so stupid!” She yelled again, crying harder.

Natasha smiled as kandle approached her with his text books.

“You really think things would improve my grade? I study all the time you know.” She said as they walked to the library.

“You only revise already taught topics. If you study topics the teachers are yet to teach, you’ll be able to understand it better when it’s being taught.” Kandle said with a smile. They were about entering the library when Natasha spotted Sebastian some distance away. He looked really pissed and she was a bit worried.

She might have chosen to let him go doesn’t mean she doesn’t care about him anymore.

“Something wrong?” Kandle asked as he noticed her staring at Sebastian.

“I’m not sure. I’ve never seen him with that look before.” She replied, facing kandle.

“I’m gonna go talk to him. Can you wait a bit?” She asked but kandle shook his head.

“With a look like that, avoiding him would be the best. You can talk to him later in the evening.” Kandle said and Natasha nodded.

SWIM BUILDING 4pm

Anna rushed in with the rest as they searched for Swayer. They’ve been looking for her all day and Sebastian has refused to say a word to any of them, it was hard knowing where she was until they decided to check here.

“She’s here!” Fiona screamed as they saw her fragile body lying on the ground, very close to the pool.

“Swayer?” Anna called looking at her pale face. Her nose was red and swollen, same with her eyes.

“Gosh what happened to her?” Chrystal asked, shaking her a little.

Swayer opened her heavy eyes and a tear dropped out.

“Swayer what the heck! You had us all worried.” Maeve yelled and Anna glared at her.

“Can’t you see she’s hurting!” Anna yelled at her.

“We shouldn’t be yelling, it’s not good for her at her state.” Fiona said, stroking her hair.

“Sebastian was last chasing after her when I saw her last. I’m guessing he wanted to talk to her about how shes been acting.” Anna said scratching her hair.

“Do you think he said something to her to make her this way?” Ivory asked but no one had an answer.

BLOCK 4

Sebastian threw the second empty bottle of cognac on the floor. Shaun isn’t around so it’s just him. He’s not a drinker at all but right now the pain he’s feeling is too much to bear if he’s sobber so he decided to get himself drunk and sleep off.

Right now he couldn’t even see clearly. He was about picking up the third bottle when he heard a Knock on the door. He remained where he was but didn’t open the bottle.

The door came open and a female figure walked in. Sebastian couldn’t tell who since he’s long gone.

“Hey, are you okay? You didn’t look so good today.” She said, closing the door.

Sebastian looked up at her face and tried to make out the image as she got closer and slowly, he began seeing Swayer’s face.

“Swayer.” He muttered standing up but ended up falling on the ground. The lady approached him immediately and help him to the bed and all the time he kept calling Swayer’s name.

“Gosh you’re such a mess because of Swayer. Love really makes people do stupid things.” She muttered, watching him as he kept calling Swayer’s name like he was reciting a peom.

She went towards the door and locked it before returning back to him.

“Yes, it’s me, Swayer.” She said when he called her name again. Swayer looked at her and indeed he was seeing Swayer’s face.

“What do you want? You hurt me.” He forced himself to say, trying to keep his eyes open.

“I want to make you feel better.” She said and began taking off her clothes. When she was fully naked, she kissed Sebastian he responded immediately as he thought she was Sawyer even though her lips tasted different. All he wanted right now was Swayer.

The lady climbed the bed, not breaking the kiss and began taking off his clothes as well and soon, they were both naked on the bed.
