His eyes are so charming,too beautiful to resist
staring.
Is Peyton just seeing those eyes for the first time?
Of course not. But why do they look so charming
to her now.
Well,maybe because they haven’t gotten this close
before or because she has started having some
weird feelings that she still fathom to.
They sat down quietly on the bed and began
eating.
Peyton cannot just believe she’s sitting with her
boss,not just sitting, but sitting and eating with
him.
They kept eating and staring at each other,but in
complete tranquility.
It was becoming really awkward before Peyton
spoke.
“What time is the competition, sir?”
“Umm,about that” they moved it to the next day,
sorry i forgot to tell you,Nolan apologized.
Did they really move the competition to the next
day?
No,not at all,Nolan had this all planned.
He just wanted to use this opportunity to set
things right,to make Peyton feel comfortable
around him.
To make her believe he isn’t who he presented
himself as,on their first encounter.
He wanted her to trust him,not feel scared around
him.
Peyton was too smart to believe that lie.
“Why do I feel like you’re not saying the truth?”
Peyton asked bluntly.
Yes,Nolan has been caught. There was no need for
him to lie anymore, he just wants to say the truth.
He’s doing all these to gain her trust after all,so
lying would not help in anyway.
“Ha!” He breathed in before answering her.
“The truth is,the competition is actually tomorrow”
I had to lie because I wanted an alone time with
you.
“Look,I’m sorry for what I said to you on the first
day we met.
“I have realized you’re not one of those ladies and
that’s why I want to make things right”
“I’m really not who you think or see as,I had to tell
you the competition was today so I can have time
to talk to you.
“I like you,Peyton. You’re a no nonsense woman
and I love your personally.
“What’s he saying,this isn’t what we were talking
about”
“Why is he diverting?” Peyton asked herself as she
listened attentively, even though she really wasn’t
interested in wh@ťěver he was saying.
“Thanks for liking me,sir” she respectfully said as
she doesn’t even understand why he’s telling her
this.
This isn’t even what they were talking about.
“I want you to feel free around me” he continued.
“Sorry about everything I said, Pey” he called her
name in short.
The way he called the name gave her butterflies in
the stomach.
His voice was enchanting.
“Why am I feeling this way” okay,this is getting
weirder than I thought.
“I think I’m going crazy,if I continue staying around
him,I will finally go crazy” she kept thinking.
“I’m sorry” he said again when he noticed Peyton
wasn’t saying anything.
The “I’m sorry” reminds her of something.
Yes,the gifts and the little note.
“Did you send me any gift? She asked.
“Yes,I did” he simply said.
Peyton was confused. Why is he suddenly doing all
these?
“Why are you doing all these,why are you telling
me this? She asked.
“Hmm” Nolan inhaled and exhaled before talking.
“I think it’s time I told her,I have to air it out” he
said to himself.
“Pey” he called in a calm tone.
“I’m doing all these because I’m in love with you”
he spilled the beans.
Peyton started coughing and choking as a result of
what Nolan just said.
