THE STARS MANSION**
Amelia’s eyes bulged in shock. The STARS consist of four boys, will she be staying in this mansion with boys r there are female workers too?
“Come in” Ryan said, jolting her back to reality
She entered quietly with her suitcase. A gasp escaped her mouth as she stared around the living room
“You!” Arnold sprang up
“What are you doing here?” He added with a slight frown, playing on his face
“She’s our cook” Ryan replied
Arnold went closer to Amelia, who shifted backwards in fear
“You are welcome but I don’t think you’ll last long here, you might even get fired today” he whispered in her ear with a slight chuckle
She swallowed into nothing
“Should I just go back home but the pay…” She thought
“I’ll take you to your room” Ryan offered standing up
He took the stairs and she followed suite
“This is where you’ll be staying” he said, opening the door of a room
She took a peek inside making her smile, it doesn’t even look like a maid’s room.
“What are you waiting for? Go in” He added
“I thought you are going to show me around ” She muttered, playing with her nails
” You need to rest first “He replied, before going away
She went in and closed the door from behind. She glanced around, feeding her eyes on wh@ťěver she sees before arranging her clothes in the closet. She took her bath and changed her clothes
She slumped on the bed, feeling bored already and she’s not the type to sleep in the afternoon
She brought out her phone and dialed Jewel’s number
“Have you gotten there?” She asked as soon as she picked
” Yeah but I don’t think I can last long here….. how will I cope? I was posted to the STARS mansion” She answered
Jew squealed loudly making her remove the phone from her ear
” Why are you screaming?”
“You are so lucky. Listen to me, when you come over during the weekend, we are going to exchange fates… who knows I can get to work there too. I’m happy for you” Jewel said
” But .. how will I cope? staying with four boys? There is no female worker around”
” Just focus on what you went there to do, focus on being their cook but if I were you, I’ll make sure one of them falls in love with me”Jewel said making Amelia’s face scrunch up in disgust
” What!!? I’m not interested in doing that, I’ll just stay for a month and then leave” Amelia snapped making Jewel laugh at the other end
” I said if I was the one not you, try to understand my words sometimes”
” I’m also scared of Arnold, that boy gives me creeps”
” Then make it the other way round, make him scared of you”
Amelia looked up and her eyes landed on the wall clock making her gasp loudly
” What’s wrong?” Jewel queried
” I’ll call you back okay, I think I should go now, it’s past 5. Thanks a lot” Amelia said before hanging up
She stood up hurriedly, fitting her leg into her slippers before rushing out.
Another door opened revealing Sean. His round eyes widened
“Wh… what are… you doing here”He stuttered
She smiled lightly, at least she has seen someone she feels comfortable with
“I’m your cook” she replied bowing
” You must be kidding ”
” I’m dead serious, I lost my job and here I am” She answered
“You are welcome, I’ll show you around” He said grabbing her hand
” This is my room, this is Arnold’s, Ryan’s and lastly Teddy”He said pointing to the room opposite hers
“Why is my room opposite his own? I can’t stand his presence” She said worriedly
“Who gave this room?Arnold? Ryan?”
“Ryan did”
“You’ll cope perfectly well” he winked, pulling her down the stairs
As they got to the living room, Teddy was just coming in. A friend settled on his face as soon as he sighted her
“What are you doing here?” he asked calmly, tucking his hands in his pocket
She blinked rapidly with her gaze on the floor
“She’s our Cook” Sean answered
“And who told the agency that we needed a cook? why will they send a female?” He demanded
“Does he h@ťě females or something? Why is he looking pissed off? ” She thought
” I sent for a cook since the last one is nothing to write home about” Arnold said
“Pack your bags and leave you are not needed here” He said, looking at her coldly before taking the stairs
Tears had filled her eyes already, She h@ťěs it when she’s being treated like a piece $h|t
“I told you , didn’t I? You aren’t gonna last here” Arnold mocked
” Quit that Arnold, stop making her feel worse. Ryan, show her the kitchen and I’ll go talk to Teddy” Sean said, taking the stairs

GRACIE ORPHANAGE**
Jewel entered the orphanage with a bright smile. She stole some money from her Dad and she knew she is going to pay dearly for it when he gets back
She scanned the whole place hoping to see Teddy but she didn’t. The smile on her face fell
“Hi dear, where is your brother?” She said to a child there, squatting to his level
“You mean brother Teddy? he just left” The girl replied
“Oh… okay” She nodded
“Do you want to see him? You can call him over, are you his girlfriend?” The girl said sharply
“What!!? No… no..I..”
“Yay!! everyone, Brother’s girlfriend is here!!” The girl shouted making everyone turned to look at Jewel, who lowered her face
“$h|t, what kind of child is this?” she thought, wishing for the ground to swallow her

Jewel ran her hand on her hair, already frustrated
“Let’s stop!!! she might report to brother that we are being disobedient and you know brother warned us against it. Let’s respect her as we respect brother since she’s his girlfriend” The kid from earlier said and they all kept quiet
“We are sorry” They chorused
“It’s fine, kids” She said putting on a smile

Jewel turned to look at the kid, who winked at her
“What’s your name?” Jewel said
“I’m Crystal” The girl replied, flashing her a smile exposing her cute set of teeth
“You have a beautiful smile” Jewel complimented
“Really? Brother do tell me that too, thanks. Should I tell you something? I’m his favorite among all” Crystal smiled again
“I’ll keep that in mind” Jewel nodded
“I love you for brother, you are a good person” She said, hugging Jewel tightly
The other kids moved forward, all wanting to hug her
She started hugging them one after the other until the woman came in
“Woah, how did you manage to keep up with them?” She exclaimed
“Ma’am” Jewel bowed
“Call me Mrs Murphy, do you have any job at the moment? we’ll like to employ you here”The woman interrupted
?SAY YES PLEASE!!
” Okay” Jewel replied, beaming in smiles
“Mrs Murphy, she’s brother’s girlfriend” Crystal announced
Mrs Murphy’s eyes widened, she pulled Jewel into a hug
“Thanks for accepting him, please.. don’t break his heart like the other ones did” she whispered in Jewel’s ear, who nodded helplessly
NEXT MORNING**
THE STARS MANSION**
Luckily for her, Sean was able to talk to him and he allowed her to stay but he had warned her not to come close to him
“Sean.. can you take me to school?” Amelia said
“We are not going to school today but o can drop you off” he replied, not looking up from his phone
“Where are you going to?” She asked curiously
“We are going for recording” he answered, opening the car door for her to enter
“Cook!!” Arnold shouted, making her turn
“Go get me water” he ordered, He’s hell bent on making her stay in the mansion hell
“You can go” she forced Sean a smile
“Will you be fine?” He asked worriedly and she nodded in reply
He got into his car and drove off
She rushed back to the house to get the water and on returning, Arnold had gone. She sighed deeply, trying hard to fight back the tears
“Ryan and Sean had gone already” she muttered
She started walking towards the gate with the determination to trek to school or perhaps board a cab of she sees any
“Where are you going to?” A guard at the gate asked
“I’m going to school” she replied
“Are you going on foot? you can’t find any cab in this estate?” He said
She bit her bottom lips in frustration, almost hurting herself
“Can you open the gate for me?” She muttered audibly
She started off
Just then a car passed by her, then another. She turned back only to see cars in a row, she knew immediately that it’s Teddy
