“How did you find her?” The court lady asked as she wrapped the bandage around Adelaide’s head, who was still lying unconsciously on the bed.
“I wanted to take some fresh air in the garden and I found her there. I think someone did that” The guard who brought Adelaide replied
“Who would try to do this to my friend? When is she going to wake up? I’m worried” Eleanor said worriedly and held Adelaide’s hand
“It’s okay,she will be fine” Court lady said
“I will take my leave now” The guard bowed gently before walking out
“I still don’t understand why anyone would do this to her,this is an attempted murder,I’m going to inform Carl so he can deliver the message to the king” Court lady said and got up
“Stay with her,I will be right back”
“Yes court lady” Eleanor muttered and then the court lady went out
Eleanor sighed and touched Adelaide’s head
“Goodness,she’s really burning” She muttered and immediately left the room,she returned with a wet towel and then placed it on Adelaide’s forehead
“Be fine,please” She sighed and continue watching her

MATILDA’S SUITE**
“Are you saying she was already unconscious before you return to the garden?” Matilda asked still looking confused
“Yes my lady,it wasn’t me. I met her there but I had to run back immediately without saying a word to anyone.” Esmeralda replied
“Do you think there’s someone else who h@ťě her or resent her?” Matilda asked
“Well,my lady. Every maid in the palace h@ťě her” Esmeralda scoffed
“And why is that?” Matilda frowned
“They all believe she’s getting a special treatment from,Princess Lisa,Court lady,Queen mother and even the king himself. They are not lying” Esmeralda scoffed
Matilda frowned
“You can go” She said and Esmeralda immediately left
Matilda started pacing
“She should never get close to the king,never. I won’t allow it no matter what. The king is going to be mine soon,I will be the queen and nobody else will.” She said to herself

MAIDS QUARTER**
“Nadia!” Melita rushed into the room and Nadia looked up
“What happened?” She asked
“I heard she’s not dead,she was saved by a guard” Melita said and Nadia scoffed
“You think I did that to ki|| her?? If I wanted to ki|| her,I would have hit her like five times. But this will make the court lady give her a break and I will continue serving the king” Nadia smiled and touched her hair
“Then what if she’s back on her feet?” Melita asked
“Before then,I will have another plan” Nadia replied and Melita nodded
“Anyways,I got this” Nadia smiled and showed her a bracelet
“Isn’t that for Adelaide? The one queen mother gave her?” Melita asked and Nadia nodded
“I’m sure if she lost this,the queen mother will definitely withdraw the love she have for her” Nadia smiled and tried the bracelet out
“Looks even better on me” She scoffed and Melita laughed
“I can’t wait to see her crying and asking us if we see this bracelet” She said
“Well I’m sure she wouldn’t dare ask me” Nadia smirked

Carl was walking when all of a sudden Lisa ran into him and he immediately caught her before she could fall
Lisa gasped the moment his hands enwrapped around her waist,her eyes went wide and she looked at him
“Are you okay Princess?” Carl asked
Lisa cleared her throat
“You should have allowed me fall,your hands are going too far” She scoffed
“I’m sorry” Carl immediately released her and Lisa arranged her hair
“Well,thank you for saving me” She muttered
Carl bowed and made to leave
“Wait” Lisa called back and Carlos faced her again
“What is it?” He asked
“Oh…..never…never mind” Lisa immediately said and walked away
Carl squeezed his face a little as he stared at her
“Is she always this annoying? I should have allowed her fall?? Seriously??” He scoffed and went his own way

NIGHT★KING’S CHAMBER**
“You’re welcome your majesty!” The guards immediately bowed as He appeared
He replied with a nod and went in,He’s been working all day and is very tired. He entered and immediately Matilda stood up from where she was sitting
“My King!” She called and immediately walked closer to him
“What are you doing here?” King Lucian asked
“I was worried about you,I heard you are very busy today. You look tired” She said and touched his cheek with a worried look
“I’m fine” Lucian said and made to walk in but she moved to his front again
“My king,I know you’re tired but at least you shouldn’t act so cold to me,I was worried about you like I said. Should I prepare your bath? Do you need a massage? It will help you feel better,I am really good in that” She smiled
King Lucian sighed and nodded
“Fine” he said in a Silent groan and Matilda smiled more widely
They were still there when the door opened
Carl came in with Melita
“Good evening your majesty,your dinner is here” Melita bowed lowly
King Lucian turned and Faced Carl
“Where is the maid?” He asked and Melita quickly squeezed her face secretly
Matilda also frowned
“The court lady said she’s injured and unconscious at the moment” Carl replied
“What? What happened to her?” Lucian immediately asked and Matilda got even more mad,why does it concern him so much
“I heard someone hit her head with a plank while she was in the garden….”
“Who did that?? Here in the palace?” Kung Lucian cut in
“I have no idea,but she’s not awake yet” Carl replied
“I didn’t know we have such criminals here,have you tried to ask for any witness??….”
“My King” Matilda interrupted and Lucian looked at her
“You should take a rest and stop worrying about a maid,I will take care of it. Carl will take care of it so please,eat and take a rest,please” Matilda pleaded with an hurtful expression on her face
King Lucian sighed and went in
Matilda turned to Melita
“What are you waiting for? Leave” She snapped at her
Melita immediately bowed and left
