“Elmo! Elmo!” Catherine called banging on the door hard but no response came from him.
“You are getting me worried with your behaviour, my son!’ She cried again and hit the door harder.
Raul who stood by a corner walked up to her and held her shoulders.
“Let’s leave him for now, please…” He pleaded and she shook her head vigorously.
“I saw it. I saw darkness looming over him. I can’t. I can’t let that happen!” She pleaded in tears and Raul sighed before he then hugged her.
“Ssh, it will be fine, he won’t ever succumb to darkness. I’m sure of that!” He assured her and she nodded.

Anna watched as Axel picked on his food. She knew obviously that he was less interested in human food, all she had ever seen him consume is blood! Just blood!
“May I ask something?” Darrell said breaking the silence and Axel looked at him.
“There is a question that has been bothering me and I would love to ask you and that question is why you had my daughter kidnapped, keeping her away from us for a month?”
Anna sighed and closed her eyes.
“Dad!” She tried interfering.
“Look here, young lady. I’m asking him not you so you better remain silent!” Darrell scolded her and she kept mute.
Axel looked up with a face devoid of any emotions and Anna sighed yet again.
“I know my explanation is not needed at all, all I just want to say is that I’m really so sorry for keeping her from you but I’m not sorry for taking her away at the same. Your daughter is the best thing that had happened to me in my life..” He said and Anna smiled. Her hands went to his and they interlinked their hands again.
Darrell was tempted to smile but however he wouldn’t. Not at all.
He just looked at both of them and shook his head. Never did he imagine that his son in law would be the king of Vampires whom they thought had died.
All in all, he just wishes that his daughter remains happy with him.
