Vito and his men were all making merriment of their victory against Jonathan and his men that. But the secret of what happened, concerning Micheal sneaking out wasn’t known to him yet.

They were drinking and smoking and eating and more were served to them. The atmosphere of the room was polluted with the smell of whiskey and cigarettes. Vito lost appetite in eating, all he did is to smoke and drink.

Pablo excused himself to the operating room to see how tight the security was and if there was an intruder in the house. When he saw that every where was calm, he left the operating room, heading back to the dinning room.

On his way, he saw Anastasia walk into the sitting room, her hand on her waist like she was forcing herself to walk. He thought maybe she was sick or some thing, so he watched her to see where she was going to.

Clarabelle saw Anastasia, noticing the way she was walking, she asked. “Are you alright?”

“Yes, I am.” Trying to act normal.

“Why are you walking like that? Did you injure yourself? ” She asked again.

” No, I didn’t. I’m. . .”

She cuts in sharply. “Are you having a menstrual cramp? Oh no, are you on your period?” Clarabelle asked without a pause.

“Clara?” She looked around. “Take it easy, some one might be listening. I’m okay.”

“You know, you don’t have to hide any thing from me. I have sanitary pads, I can lend you one if you want.” She said, lowering her voice.

“Clara, I’m not on my period and I am totally fine. I slipped off the stairs and I fell, that’s all.” She lied.

Clarabelle was about to believe her when she saw blood rolling down from her thighs.

“Oh my God, Ana, you’re bleeding.” She exclaimed, but quickly covered her mouth from screaming out loud.

Ana looked down to her legs and behold, she was indeed bleeding. Fear gripped her heart, as she watched her blood rolling down as if she was undergoing a miscarriage.

Clarabelle grabbed her hand, taking her to a room and thankfully, no one was there.

“I’m gonna bleed to death, Clara, I’m gonna bleed to death.” She trembled, her legs shivering.

“Hey. Hey, don’t say that. You aren’t gonna die, no one is gonna die.”

“Clare I’m f_cking bleeding, doesn’t that mean any thing to you?”

“Okay. You stay here, while I go get you some thing to put on. If any one else calls your name, don’t talk, don’t answer. You only answer to my voice, okay?” Anastasia nodded her head. “I’ll be back in a second.”

Pablo stood by the door, he has been listening to their conversation from the start. He hid by a corner when he heard Clarabelle’s footsteps approaching the door.

He waited for her to leave the room before he walks in. Anastasia was shocked to see him standing by the door, he was glaring at her and she couldn’t do any thing to hide herself and her rolling blood.

She was ashamed, noticing his eyes were on her legs. “You shouldn’t be here.” She said.

“I am now.” He said, reluctantly.

“Don’t ask me what happened, I’m pretty sure you heard it all.”

“I only heard you fell off the stairs which I totally doubt. He did this to you, didn’t he?” He asked.

Anastasia scoffed. “Michael was out just like every one else, he hasn’t touch me since the misunderstanding between the both of you.”

“You wanna cover his sins?”

“I am not covering any one, I’m only telling you the simple truth, Micheal has nothing to do with this. I fell off the stairs, that’s all.”

“Do you. . .”

“I fell, so yes it hurts.” She cuts in, sounding a bit rude.

She didn’t want to hide the truth from him but she has to. Not just for her safety, but for the sake of not creating another misunderstanding between the two brothers.

But the way he was looking at her made her almost tell him the truth. She doesn’t know why she was feeling this way towards him. She wants to h@ťě him, she really do but. . . it’s just so difficult for her to.

“Ana, let me help you.” He pleaded in a calm and soft tone.

“Even if I want your help, you’re gonna cause trouble with it.”

“I won’t. I promise.”

“How should I believe you? You’re only saying this to get the truth out of my mouth, and besides, mafias are never trustworthy.”

“Then trust me now.”

Anastasia sighed, looking away. She didn’t want to look at him face, she didn’t want those soft words to change her but it was working. It was changing her, and some how giving her reasons to trust him.

“He thr_@tened he’d ki|| me if I tell any one about it. He’s not just after me, he’s after you too.” She finally said, not regretting why she was telling him.

“How bad did he hurt you?” He asked, sounding concern.

“You’re looking at the evidence.” Luckily, the bleeding stopped but the pain was some thing she still felt.

Just then Clarabelle walked in with a sanitary pad and a new cloth for Anastasia to put on. She was surprised to see Pablo in the room, talking to Anastasia.

She managed to hear a bit of the story, especially the part where she mentioned Micheal’s name.

They were distracted by her presence, and Pablo knew it was time he should give them some privacy.

“Get cleaned up.” He turns to leave, but Anastasia stops him.

“Please, don’t do any thing stupid. I don’t wanna be the reason for your misunderstanding with your brother. Forget what happened to me, please.”

“Even if I can forget what he did to you, watching you bleed is some thing I can never forget. I won’t do any thing stupid, you have my word.” He promised.

He left the room.

Clarabelle sighed heavily. “Why didn’t you tell me you were R@P£D?” She queried.

“I was scared he’d ki|| you if he finds out I told you.”

“It’s not like I’m gonna spread it all over the universe. Since I knew the Escobar’s, I have never for once liked Micheal. He is such an arrogant, wicked bastard.” She cursed. “Go ahead, clean up so we can get the f_ck out of here.”

Anastasia changes her cloth to the new one Clarabelle brought for her. She used the old one to clean the blood stains on her legs, before putting on the sanitary pad.

Clarabelle helped her dispose the stained cloth some where no one would see it.

“Now that Pablo knows, this should be just between the three of us, no one else is to know about this.”

“Do you think he’s gonna let this go?”

“Pablo?” She asked.

“I don’t think I can trust him that much, seeing the look on his face, I’m scared of what he’s up to.” She said terrified.

“I trust Pablo. Despite how hurt he felt to see you bleed, I’m pretty sure for your sake he’s gonna keep calm.” Clarabelle assured her.
