DONOVAN MANSION.
The mansion was really dark when Joshua got in. Now he was scared for his mother, did a robbery happen here? Why is everywhere so dark and quiet?
“Mom” he called out in a loud tone but no reply then he brought out his phone and began looking for the flashlight.
Suddenly, the power went on followed by a loud scream.
“Happy birthday Joshua!!”
Joshua was shocked and still for a moment. He kept looking everywhere like he couldn’t believe it.
The mansion was decorated with lots of balloons and cardboard with some designs that said happy 18 Joshua. Happy birthday Joshua Donovan.
Joshua covered his mouth with his palms as he stared everywhere. Only God can explain how happy and overwhelmed he is right now.
“My son” Evelyn smiled out in tears and Joshua moved closer to hug her tight.
“Mom” he smiled and Evelyn kissed his hair.
The guest present just watched with a smile.
When Joshua pulled away, he looked everywhere then back to his mother.
“This was not necessary mom, a happy birthday from all of you would have just been enough” he said with a small smile when deep down he’s happy with what he’s seeing.
“At least you love it right? Bro” David winked with a smile.
“You two” Joshua moved closer to David and Carly, he pinched their noise at the same time.
“That explains the sudden hangout, you two made me feel lonely” he pouted.
“Sorry big bro” Carly smiled and Joshua hugged her tight.
“Thank you Carly, thank you for being a part of this” he said and Carly nodded with a smile.
Evelyn cleared her throat and Joshua broke the hug.
“Happy birthday man” Joshua looked up to see Shane coming towards him with a small box.
“Thanks man” Joshua smiled and accepted the gift then gave him a bro hug.
Someone cleared their throat and Joshua raised his head to see Teddy coming to him with a box.
“Teddy? Why are you here?” Joshua asked with a surprised look.
“Why shouldn’t I be invited to my friend’s birthday party?” Teddy asked back.
“But we are not..
“Happy birthday man” Teddy stretched the box he was holding to Joshua.
Joshua sighed and collected it.
“Thanks,” he smiled.
Next Selene came out with a golden bag and Carly frowned from behind. Although she couldn’t see the colour of Selene’s outfit, Selene was wearing a kinda silver dress that matches with her smooth skin and blond hair but she could see that Selene was really pretty with good curves and height.
“Happy birthday Joshua” she walked up to him and gave him the bag she was holding.
“Selene, you’re also here” Joshua smiled.
“Why can’t I be here, it’s your birthday” she smiled and he hugged her happily.
Carly scoffed from where she was watching and David chuckled.
Joshua pulled away from the hug and stared at her from head to toes.
“You look so beautiful by the way. You could have saved this dress for your date with your boyfriend” he said.
“I thought of you while picking this dress, I know you like designs like this” she smiled and Evelyn smiled as she watched them together.
Carly turned to look at David.
“What?” David asked.
“I thought you told me that I look so good?” She said with a smile.
“I didn’t lie,” he replied.
“But Joshua didn’t say anything,” Carly pouted.
Shane forced himself to stand in between them.
“Maybe your big brother didn’t notice you but I did and I think you’re the prettiest” he said with a smile.
“Lies, we all know it’s Selene, if I can increase my age then I’d date her, I swear” David smiled.
Carly frowned and hit David’s arms.
Teddy, who was watching, just smiled and shook his head.
After a little while of partying and chit chatting, Selene went to meet Joshua.
“Joshua, look we got you a piano, I know how much you miss singing, do you wanna sing again?” Selene asked.
Joshua looked at his side and saw a table piano.
“So thoughtful of you Selene, of course I’d love to” he smiled.
Joshua was now sitting in front of the piano, the whole room was silent with everyone standing and watching him.
The soft tone of the piano started before he began moving his lips.

His voice was so smooth, so pure, it felt like a wind that could just sweep everyone off their feet and take them to this beautiful paradise.

Everyone could only just watch him with a smile as he kept singing with his eyes closed.

SANCHEZ MANSION.
Olivia could be seen sitting in front of her window and looking out at the sky. The flashback of the dream about Joshua suddenly came back to her head and she remembered how they were happy in the past, a smile appeared on her lips.
But then her mom entered the scene with an angry look.
“The doctor said your father isn’t getting better and needs more expensive treatments or he’d die. Olivia if anything happens to your dad then it’s your fault!”
“You’re the murder!!”
“You ki||ed your own father!!”
Olivia held her chest in fright. Her father did so much for her when she was a kid. Now he needs her help and also wants to see her go places.
But about Joshua, he was her first love and first boyfriend. He was the only guy that made her feel what happiness is, he did everything to make sure she feels safe and secure and she did.
Now her question is her father or Joshua. What if her father gets disappointed because of what she did and get another seizure then she?
What if Joshua h@ťěs her forever when he finds out why she did all that? What if he doesn’t understand her? What if he does? She doesn’t even know what to think anymore.
Joshua or her father?
Her head was starting to hurt so bad.
“There’s only one answer to your question Olivia” a voice sounded in her head and she looked up.
“You, the answer is you! End your own life so you’ll be free from all these”.
Now that this strange voice said this to her, it was starting to make sense.
What if the ki||s herself, what if she ends her own life then it’ll be great, she won’t have to worry about Joshua or her father.
She wouldn’t have to put up with her manager and mom forcing her to do things she doesn’t like and most importantly.
Since Joshua h@ťěs her so much, he’d finally be happy if she’s gone.
d@mn! Olivia, why didn’t you think of this earlier!! She thought to herself with a sardonic smile.

After the party, everyone began going home. When Teddy got home he met Pinky waiting for him but he had nothing to hide so he told her where he was.
Carly and Joshua came home together.
“Right Carly, you haven’t given me my present yet” Joshua faced her when he got to his room.
‘That was because you were too busy spending time with your pretty childhood friend’ Carly replied in her head and forced a smile at him.
“Is everything okay?” He asked with a look.
‘At least notice my dress and make up’ she said in her head again and forced a nod at him.
“So my gift?” He asked.
“He’s in your room, I’m worn out, I’ll go to bed” she replied and went to the room opposite him without saying a good night.
Joshua still looked confused with her behavior.
“Sure, good night” he said about opening the door but paused when he remembered what Carly said about his surprise.
She said “He’s in your room” his surprise is a he? He thought and opened the door then put on the light.
He was surprised to see a black puppy sleeping in a cage.
“Puppy!!” He enthused and happily rushed towards it. He opened the cage and took the puppy out.
“So cute, he’s so cute, what should I name you. How about Paco, Paco do you love your new name” he smiled and played with the puppy.

NEXT DAY★ UNIQUE HIGH.
Carly yawned and went to her locker, she opened it and was about to take her textbook but something suddenly bit her finger.
“Ahh!” She yelped and withdrew her finger that was already bleeding, out of her locker immediately.
Something fell and it was a huge scorpion.
