Episode 45

That morning when we woke up everyone had a terrible handover and we all stayed in bed.

Wren made us breakfast— cereal and an apple with orange juice. The first thing I looked at was my hand because I felt like I was dreaming but no.

There was a huge diamond ring sitting on my finger it made my day one thousand times better.

Alessandro’s clothes were dried so he was changed back into his boxers and slacks. As soon as we got home, with Wren and three pets, we immediately started house hunting.

Not only would we be paying for a house, but Alessandro knew that deep down I wanted a humongous wedding even though I’d settle for a small one.

His exact words were, “If we spend over five million on the wedding so be it. I want you to look beautiful, in a beautiful venue, before we go on honeymoon and I f-__-k the $h|t out of you.” Wren was too busy playing downstairs which I thanked God for.

This man was so horny I was worried Wren would walk in on him talking like that.

After a good hour of searching I took a break. I had absolutely nothing to do right now.

This was the first time in a long time where I could just relax but there’s two children and three pets wrecking my house right now.

Alessandro left for work a few hours ago, the same time Kieran got dropped off. I walked out there with them and it was the cutest sight ever.

Wren had her head on Kieran’s shoulder and they shared a bowl of grapes and strawberries.

The kittens and dog were sitting on the ground eating their own food while they watched the Disney movie.

I was up for relaxing so I walked over and sat beside them. We just watched Disney movies for the rest of the day.

I looked down at my hand, fiddling with the ring with a smile. I know I keep talking about it but I can’t help it. I’m marrying a man and not a boy.

I’m marrying someone that I actually want to see myself with until the day I die.

Alessandro was a man that actually loved me for me. He loved everything I had to offer, big and little. He accepted all of my flaws and things that boys would find weird about me.

He accepted all of me and I’m so happy to be able to call him my fiancé.

I have the Alessandro Sinclair about to marry me. The same Alessandro who f-__-ked women on a daily, didn’t give a f-__-k about anyone but himself, and was just a regular bachelor.

That thought had the biggest smile on my face and I couldn’t take my eyes away from the ring.

Alessandro’s POV ?

I jogged out of my company, clearing my schedule for the week so I could help Athena house hunt.

I would only be called in when there was something my employees couldn’t handle on their own and the business was skyrocketing so I didn’t really need to be there this week.

I walked in, furrowing my eyebrows at the silence. It was actually dead silent which kind of scared me. The only light on downstairs was the kitchen light so I hurried upstairs.

Athena had an arm over Wren and Kieran, the pets sleeping on their beds on the floor. I got home pretty late so of course they’d be sleep, I just thought Kieran would be gone by now.

Someone knocked just as I was about to climb into bed with them. It was Kieran’s mom. “Hi.” She smiled. “Congratulations on the engagement.”

She walked in and I closed the door behind her.

“Thanks, Olivia. I’ll go get him now.” She nodded and I went upstairs to grab Kieran. When I tried to take him from under her arms she started to wake up. “Moms here.” She moved her arm and brought Wren closer to her.

I carried a still sleeping Kieran back downstairs and his mom took him. “Thank you. That Athena of yours is so sweet. I’m glad she’s the one you decided to marry.”

“Me too. When she said yes I wanted to jump out of my shoes. She makes me so happy.” I rambled with a smile.

“I can tell.” She smiled back. “Have a good night.”

“You as well.” And I closed the door behind her, quickly going back upstairs and taking off my clothing and getting into bed with them. I wrapped my arms around both of them with a smile. I look at the ring on her finger and my smile widens.

It felt like a reward to be able to be the last man to put a ring there.

I feel like God gifted me this woman and I am eternally grateful to be able to wake up to such a beautiful face every morning.

My heart was beating at a crazy rate just thinking about the fact that I’d get to call her my wife in less than a month.

I felt so lucky to be able to call her my fiancée. She was worth more than gold itself and I’d make sure to let her know that everyday.
