“Why did you do that mom? Why? Why?? Vincenzo shouted at Veronica who kept crying in regret
” Am sorry Vincenzo,I was blinded by greed”she replied
“I couldn’t take it anymore when your dad refused to show us to the world, watching my friends ruling
“And what did you gain from it? You only ended up in jail and your reputation is ruined! He shouted sniffing back his tears
Charmaine rubbed his back in consolation
“Am sorry” Veronica muttered in tears
“Do you ever thought about how much I yearned for father’s love? How much I yearned for his care? Have you ever considered about that! He yelled letting out his tears

Without replying, Vincenzo left the visiting room angrily
“Don’t cry Mom” Charmaine said to Veronica
” Am a bad mother Charmaine,a really bad mother” she muttered in regret and Charmaine stared at her with pity

” Charmaine am really sorry for how I have been towards you recently, she muttered
“It’s nothing Mom,am not offended” Charmaine replied with a smile
” Thank you, she muttered and Charmaine stands up to leave
“I really can’t help but to think your driver Karl is Vincenzo’s father” Veronica said and Charmaine stop dead on her track

“Visiting hour over” one of the policemen announced
“Just a minute sir” Charmaine pleaded
” What did you mean by that Mom? Charmaine asked quickly
” He has the same face with that of Vincenzo father and I felt the same connection when I was still with Vincenzo’s father,I can’t say more than that, you can try to confirm from him first” Veronica replied and walk away

Charmaine boarded the car and met Vincenzo looking sad

“Enzo, Mom said something about your dad being alive”she said and Vincenzo stared at her at once

” But people can be identical” he muttered though he really hope it’s true

” You are right,I think we should pay him a visit tomorrow” he replied feeling a little better

His phone started ringing from his pocket,he brought out his phone

?Who are you? And what are you doing with my sister’s phone? He asked
?Am Ursula, Miss Shana was rushed to the hospital after being hit by a car

? I’ll be there in few minutes” he added and hang up
“Is everything okay? Charmaine asked
” Shana was hit by a car and she has been rushed to the hospital

Vincenzo, Charmaine and Chris rushed at the hospital at the same time
“We are here for Shana DeMarcus” Chris
“Are you Miss Shana guardian? The doctor asked
“Yes doctor, how is she?
” Thankfully she was brought here Immediately,or else I don’t know what we will be talking about”
” Though she is still in a critical condition but she will be
“Can we see her
” No you can’t, she is still in ICU, you can see her when she has been moved to ward”the doctor replied
” Ok, they said at once
“And the woman who brought her here said she has something to tell you
“Oh really? Where is she? We need to thank her” Charmaine said with a smile
“There she is” the doctor pointed at a female who was walking towards with smile
“Ursula? Charmaine muttered
” You know her? Vincenzo asked and she nodded
“She is living two houses away from us” she replied
” Hey Charmaine” Ursula greeted
“Hi Ursula”Thank you for saving Shana
“You are welcome, and I have something important to show you guys, Shana’s was intentionally not a hit and run”

“This” she replied and played a video of how Nancy hit Shana
“Nancy?? Chris shouted in shock and they all look at her in question
” She is the woman my mom wants me to marry” he replied
” So this woman is the one responsible for my sister’s condition
“Leave her to me Vincenzo,I know what to do to her” Chris said and face Ursula
” Can you follow me to Nancy apartment? He asked

~NANCY’S APARTMENT~
Nancy jumped around her living room happily, she is now dressed up in her night robe after getting rid of the clothes she used for the operation
” I finally got rid of the obstacles in getting married to my Chris”
“I can’t wait become Chris wife” she said and squealed out happily
She poured herself a glass of wine and gulped it down at once
“Hot” she commented feeling a churning sensation on her throat
She was about to pour another one when she heard the doorbell
“Who the hell is it at this time? She cursed tying her robe properly
She walked to the door and open it,a wide smile escape her lips as she saw Chris

“Oh really? You can come in miss” Chris said and Ursula enter with four policemen

Nancy couldn’t believe her eyes as she watch the video, fear gripped her souls and body
“This proof is enough to prove your deeds murderer!!
” Am sorry Chris,I did it because I love you and I don’t want anyone to come in between us” she cried
“You and your love can go to hell for all I care, officers do your job! Chris grunted
“Miss Nancy you are under arrest for the attempted murder of Miss Shana DeMarcus” the leader said bringing out an handcuff
“Let me call my lawyer” I need to get a lawyer” she stuttered and the officer scoffed
” Don’t be a joke, murderer aren’t eligible for getting a lawyer” the officer said and handcuffed her
” Chris please I did it because I love you and because I don’t want to lose you” please don’t let them take me away! I love you so much Chris! Nancy kept screaming as she was being dragged away
“f-__-k you and your love! Chris seethed his teeth angrily before facing Ursula
” Thank you Miss Ursula” he said in appreciation
” It’s nothing Mr Chris, And about Miss Shana, I believe she will be fine because is a strong woman” she console
“Thank you, Chris muttered and left
