? Chapter Thirty-seven ?
Ever since Charlotte left the house Miguel was not the same as before, he had not been going to the office lately, he tried to get in touch with her, but it just looked she disappeared into thin air, he tried to look into her background, but it was just bringing him to an orphanage where she had been staying since she was 7 and yet no news about her there, she was just in the orphanage for a year and she left with her brother, the person in charge of the orphanage explained that she ran away from the orphanage with her brother and nobody knows where they are till now. Dee had tried to get news about her through the underworld but he wasn’t able to do that because the girl was so mysterious, even her brother too, Dee could not help but to suspect that inncent looking girl with a kind heart.
A letter was sent to Miguel, he did not want to check it but because he thought it maybe from Charlotte he decided to check it, what he saw was not something he was expecting but it was something also important, he had forgotten about the deal he had with his brother because of what had happened to him and now someone just helped him find out the evidence that Cassandra was innocent.
How did the person know that he needs this evidence? He thought but he decided to brush it off his mind since he had to give this to Alex tomorrow and then he would continue his search on Charlotte, he feels like he can’t breathe without her.
[The next day…]
Alex was in the car with Cassandra, he drove to a nearby park, they were under disguise because he needed a peaceful day. The ride was a quiet one with a lot of tension between them.
“Why did you bring me here “Cassandra asked, they were sitted in the car, they had not gotten down from the car.
“I just wanted to talk to you? “He answered
“Why? Was it about the party? We could talk at home what’s the use of coming here “She asked harshly
“Stop talking to me like that and it’s not about the party, it’s about Diane “He replied and paused for a while he wanted to continue but she beat him to it.
“And what else do you want to know? I told you that I did not ki|| her “She asked now getting irritated
“d@mn it Cassamdra, you are getting on my nerves “He said as he gritted his teeth
“No Alex you got it all wrong, you are the one getting on my nerves, you f_cking did crazy things to me, I just can’t believe this, you…”She trailed off, her eyes were teary, she knew that if she continued she knew she would burst out in tears which she does not want.
“Continue, tell me what exactly happened that day, I want to hear everything in details do not remove any single thing that happened that day “He inquired because he wanted to know what happened that day, as she wanted to talk, he got a call from Miguel, he cut the call and he was looking at her intensely but she was not speaking.
“Talk “He said in a harsh tone
“I am not going to talk, you can’t force me to speak, I don’t know what the hell is wrong with you, but just know one thing I am back to being me enough of your nuisance I’m sick and tired of it “she said and he looked at her.
“Why did you go and meet her? “He asked pretending that he did not hear what she said, she wanted to argue again but his phone was ringing, it was Miguel, he looked at her and gave her the sign that he was coming back for her, he got down from the car and went to a stand not far from where she was.
He picked up the call in annoyance.
[Phone conversation]
Alex: what is it
Miguel: I found the evidence
Alex: (confused) evidence? What evidence
Miguel: Cassandra is innocent and Diane is still alive
Alex: (shocked), Diane is alive
Miguel: yes she is, just sent a file to your phone check it now and be ready to divorce Cassandra.
[Call ended]
Cassandra is innocent? How come?
He was not going to divorce her, at least not now, he decided to check the message Miguel sent, he carefully went through everything and he realized that this was the real thing that happened and Cassandra was not lying, but Hazel, she was the one lying.
But why would she lie?
Is her existence also a lie?
He knew that his brother would not send him something he was not sure of, this was real.

Cassandra was saying the truth, he had always been the fool right from the start.
His face was filled with guilt.
How could he face her? He does not even know where to start from.
Meanwhile…
Cassandra was holding her stomache as the tears she held fell down her cheeks, she found out about her pregnancy three days ago when Dave came for the check-up, she pleaded with him not to tell Alex and right now she really needs to do something before he finds out she is pregnant. He doesn’t deserve to know this?
Unknown to the both of them a man in his mid forties was looking at Alex’s car waiting for the right time to strike, he was crying inside because he had been blackmailed by someone from an influential family and this person wants Cassandra dead. He prayed silently as he drove the truck in full speed driving towards where Alex car was parked, he hit the car with full force making the car to somersault till it was upside down, all these things happened in Alex eyes.
“Nooooooo “He screamed as he ran to where the car was, his guilt was now doubled.
It was all his fault.
All these happened because of him.
He tried to open the door but he couldn’t, he did it again with anger and he successfully opened it, he carried her outside, he quickly checked whether she was breathing that was when the EMTs came to carry her and the driver into the ambulance and they drove off to the nearest hospital.
Do you think Cassandra is safe?
Is the child alive?
Who sent the man to do it, old lady Han or hazel or Diane herself
