? Chapter Thirty-three ?
I went out of my mom’s room in anger, I just don’t understand why my mom will still take her side knowing fully well that she ki||ed Diane. That girl must be using a spell or something.
[Few hours later…]
I went to my room to have some sleep when Sam blocked my way.
“Get the h*ll outta here”I said as I hissed in annoyance.
” Am sorry, but it’s your mom’s order, she ordered me.not to let you go in. “he said and I closed my eyes.
“I want to take an important document I’m not sleeping here “I said and he looked at me.
“Ok, I will let you in for just a minute or two”he said as he moved out of my way. I entered the room and saw her sleeping on the couch, I carried her and put her gently on the bed.
“Ivy, Ivy, don’t go to him”she said as she held the bedsheets tight, she was having a nightmare and she looked so scared, it was so terrifying.
“Shush, everything is going to be fine ” I whispered as I laid on the bed and cuddled her, when I was sure she was fine, I stood up and took the documents I wanted and left the room.
“That name sounds familiar”I said out loud. I have heard of that name before, but where? oh, Yes I remember! Cassandra had called that name before when we were in school.
[Flashback]
“Hey wait for me we have to do the project together”Alex said as he called out to Cassie who was ignoring him. Everyone knows he was the one who had the audacity to woo the school devil.
“I don’t work with people, I work alone “She said as continued walking not minding whether he was coming or not, the next thing she felt his hands one hers, trying to jerk his hands away, but could not cause he was exerting force on it.
” I won’t leave you till you follow me “He said with a sly grin
“Since you want it the hard way then I will give it you “She said as she smiled.
“Please Cassandra, just let’s do it together, just this once, I promise not to do any project with you”he said
“That was what you said the last time and yet here you are still partnering with me for project “Cassandra said.
“For once please “He pleaded as he looked at her, she did not want to agree but because she found the assignment too much for her that was why she agreed.
“Ok, just this once no other chance again “She answered as she looked at him and rolled her eyes. Alex was too happy to the extent that he hugged her and she pushed him away.
“Sorry “He apologized, still beaming with smile, she just huffed and walked away while he followed her.
Cassandra took him to her house.
Note: she stays alone.
“Sit down here and wait for me, do not touch anything “She instructed as she went to change and bring the things needed for the project.
After waiting for some minute, Cassandra came out wearing a shirt on a short, she was carrying a laptop and then she dropped it on the table.
“You can start with the project “She said, as she was about to leave Alex called her back
“I thought we were going to do it together “He said
“I already said it before that I do no work with people, so do your job and get out of here “She said and went upstairs. Feeling devastated cause his plan did not work, he planned to work overtime here so she would come down.
[Hours later]
Cassie came downstairs to see Alex still working, she entered the kitchen and brought a cereal to eat.
“I made some food for you ” he said and she looked amazed, he cooked for her.
She saw a plate of grilled chicken escalope with fresh salsa, which was so appealing to the eyes. She sat down and started eating, she stopped abruptly and looked at him.
“Have you eaten? “She asked
“No I have not “He replied and she pursed her lips.
“Did you prepare your food “She asked
“No, I did not, I was thinking you would get angry, but don’t worry I would get something out there when I am done “He said and then his stomach growled, he cursed himself internally for that.
“Come over here and let’s eat together “She said as she looked at him with a fixed face no emotions, not expecting this answer he freezed, he was praying silently for her to say this but he never expected his prayer to be answered this quick and then he started thanking his stomach for growling. Smiling, he got up and picked a cutlery and started eating with her.
Some minutes later they continued with the project and she fell asleep, looking at her cute lips he felt lost in it until her saw her reaction change, like she was having a nightmare. She was scared and she kept calling a name ‘IVY’, holding her hands for some minutes she calmed down and resumed her peaceful sleep. The next day he tried to ask about who Ivy was, but she got angry and shun him away, not letting him come closer to her not matter what he did she always gets angry and shouts at him.
[Flashback ends]
“Who is this Ivy “He thought, his brows furrowed with concern. He could not sleep at all because he was thinking about Cassandra all night, twas in the morning that he was able to sleep.
[Mrs Willows room]
“Any news about Diane”She asked the unknown person.
“Yes ma’am, I have found out where she is and her real identity “The unknown person replied and gave her and envelope containing the documents and envelope. When she saw Diane pics, she held her fist and cursed inwardly.
“Alright, I want you to make sure Miguel does not get his hands on that information yet, delete all traces about Diane, make your work neat and you will give him the information when I ask you to ok “She said and the unknown person nodded then left the room
“Sigh, so it was you, very cunning “she said as she frowned.
“So this was your plan all along, well I won’t let you succeed “She said with determination written all over her face.
