The alarm rang loudly in my ear .
“What da f_ck “I cursed as I threw the alarm clock on the floor , am so mad right now , how could this crazy alarm disturb my beautiful sleep. As I wanted to get back to my sleep , my phone rang.
“Kyle “I said
“What does he wants this time around”I asked loudly,I picked the call.
[Phone conversation]
Kyle : don’t tell me you overslept [nagging]
Me : stop nagging , I just woke up what’s the big deal [yawned]
Kyle : What ??? You jist woke up , are you insane you are f_cking late for your first work and you telling me to stop nagging
I quickly cut the call, Work , no no no am late for work .
What would Miguel be thinking right now .
He would have suspected, $h|t , I checked the time on my phone .
It’s 11^clock on the dot.
Am so dead, Kyle is going to ki|| me .
30 missed calls from Kyle. This is super crazy , I scrambled up and ran to the bathroom, brushed my teeth as quick as I can , had a very fast bathe , didn’t even wash my hair, opened my closet and picked the clothes I saw first, carried a bag near by , snatched a comb and mirror from the table and kept it in my bag , no creaming , no makeup, closed the door and went outside. The driver he had sent for me would have gone. Need to look for a cab, I could not order Uber right now, $h|t no cars around my area.
Immediately I got out of the building I heard my name.
“Miss Charlotte”
“Holy $h|t, out of all these days why now , who the h*lol know am here “I cursed as I looked at the angle the person was calling from with a fake smile written on my face .
“This way ma’m , master Miguel sent me to pick you up “He said .
He was waiting.
Oh ! My bad .
I kept someone waiting , I bit my lips and bent my head down feeling guilty , I followed him and entered the car.
How could I be so stupid I thought.
Kyle warned me .
I brought out my comb and the mirror I kept in my bag and then I did my hair well
“What is your name sir”I asked
“You can calle Dee”he said
“Um Dee am sorry for wasting your time”I apologized
“It’s not the first time am being kept waiting”Dee said as if it was nothing.
“Oh but am really sorry “I said .
It was a 30 minutes ride to Miguel house , I could say it was quite a fortune. It was really beau , at first it looked ordinary from the outside but the interior was superb .
“Is this the normal time for a worker to resume work , how professional you are “He said I’m sarcasm.
” Am really sorry sir “I pleaded , I could.not tell him that it was my stupidity that led me to this .
Can you imagine telling your boss you came late cause you overslept .
“You deserve to be sacked”he said as my eyes widened.
I haven’t even started working yet I lost the job.
Well not yet but soon to be .
I fell on my knees
“Pls don’t do that to me , just punish me , any punishment is ok , but please don’t do that to me “I said still on the ground.
I prefer his punishment to Kyle one because Kyle wouldn’t hurt me but the people around me which I don’t want .
“Any punishment you say “He asked with a sly smile but I don’t give a f_ck about what he is going to do I just accepted.
I know his punishment would not be simple but at least better than Kyle’s wrath.
“Interesting now stand up “He said and I obeyed immediately.
“Before the punishment I just want to Inform you that , you would be staying here with me in this mansion, you would follow me everywhere I go , you are to work for only me and nobody else, understand”He said .
I was trying to digest what he just said now .
Stay in the mansion with him.
“What about my belongings”I asked
“Dee will go get it for you”he said
“No no I want to do it myself”I said
“Fine if that is what you want “He said and I nodded in affirmative.
“Dee would tell you what to do and your room will be next to mine in case of any urgency”He said
“Do you understand”He asked and I nodded
“Speak “He said
“Yes I am sir”I replied.
“Ok , Dee prepare my flight to Hawaii now , change of plans”he said and left .
