NOT ME…chapter 19
…we all ran out,to know what the problem was,,,getting there,we saw Derrick on the floor,while Faith was busy crying beside him,,,we rushed Derrick to the hospital,,, everyone praying for him to be fine,,,Derrick doesn’t deserve this, he and his mother have been very helpful,,,, God please I cried bitterly….the doctor soon came out and we inquired what was wrong,,,, the car driver was with us,,,the doctor said the car didn’t hit him,he only fainted out of shock, though he had some few bruises, he will be okay….we all prayed for his quick recovery,,,,soon he was revived and fine,,,Pinky asked for his forgiveness, that she was sorry,,but Derrick told her the only way he will forgive her was for her to forgive both our biological parents and her adopted parent……
It was very difficult for Faith,she wept bitterly, and told Derrick she needed some time,,,we all went home as Derrick had been discharged,,,, we all ate like one big family,,, Faith went to bed immediately after dinner,we all knew she wasn’t sleepy,but needed time to clear her head,we could hear her sob silently,, but father asked us to let her be….
The next day,,at the dinning table during breakfast,,,Faith said she has forgiven them, there wasn’t any need been in the past when her future is here,,,,we were all happy and thanked her…..Father pleaded with her to stop her kind of lifestyle, and she said she wasn’t proud of it either,, she only indulged in smoking and drinking out of frustration,,,, Mom then suggested we took Faith to the hospital, to run some test ,to be sure her smoking and drinking habit had not tempered with her health,,,, luckily for us,she was medically sound,,,,and the most amazing thing, was my sister was still a virgin despite all she went through, how lucky she was…she was just covering with the mask of a wayward girl,but deep down,she wasn’t what she seems…
She later went to her adopted granma,were her sister who has been sick was,,Mr and Mrs Clement were shocked to see her,they didn’t expect her,,,,her granma hugged her,,she looked at her sister who was seriously sick,,,, Miracle my baby sister,,,come on,you’ve been lying for too long, big sister is here, please be your usual disturbing and annoying self,I need you around, am not use to seeing you this way,please be strong for me,I will forever love you,because you will always be my Mimi…surprisingly, Miracle according to her parent has been lying almost lifeless for months,smiled and managed to speak,,,big sist,I missed you so much, the house and my life has been empty without you,,, please forgive me,she said,,,,oh stop that my baby sist,I have forgiven you,,,she hugged her tightly, and managed to get her to sit up,,she feed her,took her to the bathroom and made her have her bath,Miracle had not walked by herself for months, her parent as well as we all,were surprised at her improvement,, they thanked Faith for her kind heart,and told her she will always be their first baby,,,they hugged her,it was indeed an emotional moment…
Nurse Bola returned to Ondo,mother and father, Faith,myself and Derrick, went to Benin, father needed to introduce her to his family,,,, we had a little welcoming party for her,,we invited friends and family, to come And welcome her home and to the family….
Father didn’t go into details because of mother’s integrity,,, he simply said she was taking away at birth,but thank God she’s back to her root….
We stayed for a week,and myself and Derrick took her to exciting places in Benin,,,soon the three of us,were on our way back to Lagos, I had classes to attend,and Derrick had work..
