Fabiola widened her eyes in shock. She wasn’t expecting that…or was she? Maybe a little? Not sure.

“I’m sorry what now?” She asked blinking severally.

“I don’t know anyone who would want to date a looser nerd like me. Even if it’s fake, they’ll practically laugh at me.” Shaun sighed ruffling his hair.
He looked at Fabiola and she’s still looking at him like he’s crazy.

“You know what forget it. It’s stupid of me to ask.” Shaun said walking away.

Fabiola stood on the same spot not sure if she should follow him or not. Being his fake girlfriend won’t be that bad but what would Sebastian say? Or worse Natasha is her roommate, they’ll practically argue every night and she isn’t ready for that.

“Fabiola you just had to open your d@mn mouth.” She sighed walking in the opposite direction.

ROSE’S MANSION

Swayer got out of the bathroom, drying her hair. Fiona had long left the room to have her bath in the other room next door as she felt Swayer needed an alone time.

She opened the second door in the room which led to the dresser. Her designer clothes, bags, shoes and other accessories were kept in this room. The room is half the size of the main room which is bigger than the entire house of a commoner.

Swayer sat infront of the dressing mirror, staring at her pale face. She’s really stressed out and it’s showing already. She removed the towel from her hair, picking up the hair dryer.

She was about drying her hair with it when Fiona came into the dresser wearing a pink robe.

“Good morning babygirl.” Fiona smiled, taking the hair dryer from Swayer and started drying the hair for her.
Swayer smiled, closing her eyes.
They hurt so bad as she hasn’t been sleeping well.

“Are you okay?” Fiona asked watching her face through the mirror.

“Other than my eyeballs hurting I feel fine.” Swayer said opening her eyes.

“You don’t look so good Sway. I think you’re stressing yourself too much. Mrs Marshall can take care of her husband for goodness sake!” Fiona scolded, accidentally pulling on her hair.

“Ouch! Are you trying to add to my pain?” Swayer cried out, taking the dryer forcefully from her.
Fiona sighed, walking out of the dresser.
Swayer came out some minutes after, wearing a long baggy pants and blouse.

“You look like you’re preparing for a home movie night.” Fiona chuckled.

“It’s comfortable.” Swayer stuck out her tongue, picking up her phone. No new message from her mom so far.

“So the quiz is in two days. Are you sure you don’t wanna change your mind about not going?” Fiona asked making a puppy face.

“If you wanna go you’re free. I’m dead serious about staying here.” Swayer fell on her bed, exhaling.

“We have a week to rest, can’t we at least have fun? I miss school already.” Fiona pouted her lips.

“I miss school too but until my dad wakes up, I’m not leaving this house.”

“You are so f_cking stubborn Swayer!” Fiona yelled getting out of the room.

Swayer sighed picking up her phone. She smiled to herself as she checked her email and saw that her application had been sent.

She placed her phone down, closing her eyes. She really felt drowsy from sleeping late so she just allowed herself drift into the world of dreams.

**

Fiona got to the living room and almost screamed her lungs out.

“What the hell! You almost gave me a heart attack.” She said holding her small chest. She didn’t expect anyone except Swayer and herself to be in the house.

“I’m really sorry.” Logan smiled sweetly.

“How did you even get in?” Fiona asked but then palmed herself for asking such a silly question. This is obviously his house as well so he had access to it just like Swayer.

“I guess you’ve already answered that by yourself.” Logan chuckled. He is sitting on the couch with his legs crossed. A bear on one hand and the remote on the other with a bag of potato chips by his side.

“When did you get here?” Fiona rephrased her question.

“About thirty minutes ago.” Logan said putting a chip in his mouth.
Fiona glanced at the television and frowned.

“Isn’t it too early for a movie night?” She asked looking at the romance movie that he’s watching.

“Its never too early to have fun. Come on, join me.” Logan smile, hitting the space next to him.

Fiona shrugged walking to the couch and sitting next to him. She digged her fingers into the bag of chips, mulching them all at once.
Since Swayer has decided to make her miserable this week, she won’t pass out an opportunity to enjoy herself.

She reached for his bear but he shifted his hand far.

“No alcohol for the pretty lady.” He winked drinking from the bottle.

“Hey! I’m eighteen and six months old!” Fiona frowned.

“Still too young.” Logan replied, keeping his focus on the TV.

The couples were talking to themselves emotionally and then the male lead leaned in to kiss his woman. Fiona glanced at Logan but he’s focus rested on the film.

She smiled, digging her fingers into the chips again.

Natasha stopped running as she was totally out of breath. She walked, staggering a bit towards her sports bag, bringing out her water bottle. She had been running tracks for an hour now trying to keep busy.
Since they applied for the quiz, they haven’t been having much classes as the school thought it fit to let them prepare for the qualification exams.

She emptied the entire content into her mouth, sitting on the painted block.

“Didn’t expect to find you here.” Sebastian smiled walking up to her.

He is wearing a hoodie sweatshirt and jogger pants, holding a bottle of water.

“Seb! Wait, were you running too?” Natasha asked putting the bottle back in her back.

“I wanted to, until I saw you so I decided to watch instead.” He smirked, sitting next to her.

“So you were stalking me.” Natasha faced him, trying to tease him.

“Stalking isn’t really the right word, more like waiting to see if you’ll actually fall down or pass out from it.” He laughed and Natasha hit him playfully on the head.

“Did you apply for the quiz?” She asked even though she knows he did.

“Yh I did. A friend convinced me to go.” He smiled remembering Ivory.

“Cool.” Natasha replied dryly.

“I hope my sister isn’t a bother? She can be a real pain sometimes.” Seb said with a serious face.

“Fabiola? She’s actually very sweet and I’m glad she’s staying with me. She’s a character.” Natasha smiled hard. She’s been having a good time since Fabiola became her roommate and she’s happy Fabiola also feels the same. Getting her to convince Sebastian about dating her won’t be a problem soon.

“Thank goodness.” Seb exhaled, standing up.
“If you’re not too tired, maybe we can run one more lap?” He asked stretching his hand to her.
She immediately took it even though she’s exhausted. Turning him down would be foolishness.

They began jogging, while engaging in a long conversation.

Fabiola stood at the entrance watching them. For some reason she wasn’t happy. She felt bad seeing Natasha with her brother while Shaun is hurting because of her.

‘What if the other guy Shaun is talking about is actually my baby?’ She asked herself.

She immediately turned around, walking back to the school. She had come looking for Seb to actually tell him about it but seeing him with Natasha just made her slightly jealous. She’s not used to seeing her brother having fun with other girls except her.

If dating Shaun would make Natasha leave her brother and come to him, then she would do it. She’s not ready to share her brother’s attention with anyone.

She entered the cafeteria in search for Shaun but he isn’t there. She checked the classes which were empty but still no show.

She decided to check the basket ball court since that’s the last place in this building. The other buildings were individually built for special activities. This is the only one that had more than one use. It’s housing the classrooms, the football field, the headmaster’s office, the staff rooms, student’s locker rooms, toilets, the athletic field and lastly basketball court. It’s the biggest building in the entire school compound.

She found Shaun playing himself to a game. She smiled seeing how good he is with the ball.

Shaun bounced the ball several times and finally threw it into the net and it got in clean.

“Nice shot.” Fabiola smiled clapping her hand.

Shaun picked the ball, moving away from the net. He bounced it again, throwing it and it entered. He moved to another angle doing the same thing and it entered.

Fabiola almost forgot why she had come in the first place as she was just too focused on his moves.

She finally got her senses back, shaking her head.

“Can we talk?” She asked and he paused, looking at her.

He began bouncing the ball again

“Go on.” He said throwing it. It entered again .

“So I’ve been think..” Fabiola trailed off as the bouncing ball noise kept disturbing her speech.

“I’m listening.” Shaun said throwing the ball and it entered.

“Maybe you can pause for a little while so I can concentrate.” Fabiola frowned.
Shaun sighed, walking out of the pitch. He brought out his water bottle, taking a sip.

“Thank you.” Fabiola exhaled when he sat down, giving her his full attention.

“I thought about it and as much as this may seem crazy, I agree.” She rushed her words.

“You agree to what?” Shaun frowned. He didn’t want to assume anything yet.

“I agree to be your girlfriend..I mean fake girlfriend.” She said folding her arms into a fist. He obviously knew what she meant at first so why make her say it again.

“Are you sure? Because it looks like you wanna beat me up.” Shaun said looking at her balled fists.

Fabiola freed them up smiling slightly.
“Sorry, I do that whenever I’m nervous.” She smiled.

Shaun got up, dropping the bottle on the floor.
He walked up to her, leaving very little space between them.

“Are you sure about this?” He asked and Fabiola swallowed her saliva. They were too close to each other.

“It’s just acting, nothing serious.” She said shifting back and bit but Shaun caught her by the waist, pulling her closer to himself. Fabiola gasped, her heartbeat increased.

“It’s not just answering my girlfriend Fabiola, you also have to do the things my real girlfriend would do.” He said in a low husky voice.

Fabiola swallowed her saliva again. This is a totally different Shaun now. Can she actually do this?

“Li-like what?” Stuttered.

Shaun smiled wickedly.
“Like this.” He said and without warning, he smashed his lips on hers.
