” That Greek God is your brother?” Amaryllis asked shocked. ” Yeah now stop making it seem impossible.” Roxanne said. “Okay but he’s too hot to be your brother. If he were my step brother, I would have already had s** with him. I’d hide him in my room and tie him to the bed so no one could ever find him. That guy is s** on legs Roxy.” Amaryllis said in one breath. Roxy fake gagged. ” Eww no. We have the same dad Amara.” Roxanne said in disgust
thinking about what Amaryllis said. ” Oh why didnt you say so in the first place?” Amaryllis rolled her eyes. ” Don’t like him Amara. He’s not good for you.” Roxanne warns. ” And who is Roxy? Raiden?” Amaryllis asks. Roxanne looked guilty. ” Amara I thought you forgave me for that incident.” She said sadly. Roxanne was the ons who pushed Amaryllis to dating Raiden. ” I did. I was making a point that I’m a magnet of bad news Roxy. Nothing else.”
Amaryllis explained. Roxanne smiled. ” Now babes Let’s go to class. I still can’t believe I fainted twice seeing your s** on legs brother who you won’t f-__-k.” Amaryllis says absentmindly. Roxanne smacks her head. ” We came from one sperm Amaryllis.” Roxanne snapped and Amaryllis laughed. The day went smoothly for the girls as usual but none of them saw Iasonas and Darryl. Roxanne and Amaryllis drove to Starbucks. A store which is usually packed with teenagers around their
age. They stopped outside. A little girl was waiting there. ” Jewel baby.” Amaryllis called. Hearing the familliar voice, the girl , Jewel, ran to the car. ” Aunt Amara and Aunt Roxy. Are you here to pick me up?” Jewel asked. She was only 10. ” Yes baby. Lindsey is busy.” Amaryllis explained. ” She’s always busy.” Jewel says sadly as she opens the car and gets in. ” I have great news.” Roxanne announced. “What?” Amaryllis asked. ” You,
baby Jewel, got accepted to compete in The voice kids tomorrow.” Roxanne announced. ” Ahh!” Jewel squealed loudly yet happily. ” Really? I’m going to sing on tv?” Jewel asked. She always wantes to be a singer. ” Yes Now you have to start practicing for the competition. Luckily school is closed for you.” Roxanne said pinching her cheeks. Jewel swatted her hands away. ” That hurts Aunt Roxy. I’ll tell Aunt Amara not to talk you again!”
Jewel huffs as she folds her arms on her chest and looks out the window. Roxanne chuckles. ” Oh baby Amara can’t live a day without me.” Roxanne boasts to her. ” Than how did she survive all these years? You only met her 6 years ago. What about the other 12 years?” Jewel asks smriking. Roxanne glared at her and Amaryllis chuckled. ” Yes Roxy what about the other 12 years?” Amaryllis teased. ” Oh shut it you two! This is my car. My rules. Rule number one Don’t gang up on me.”
Roxanne said sternly. Jewel threw her head back and laughed. Amaryllis chuckled. ” Oh sweety we can get off and the guilt will devour you when we’re eaten by wolves.” Jewel tells her after laughing to her heart’s content. Roxanne glared at her. She and Amaryllis laughed even more. ” Stop laughing you two!” Roxanne said not to angirly. Jewel laughed even louder now mocking Roxanne with her laugh. Amaryllis shakes her head. Roxy laughs.
” But don’t worry Aunt Roxy I’ve practiced enough.” Jewel boasts with a wide smile

” Brianna! Wake up!” Raiden shakes his sister on her bed. She had been sleeping all day and refuses to wake up. ” Is it morning? Am I late?” Brianna quickly gets up startled. ” No Bri It’s almost midnight.” Raiden tells her. Brianna glares hard at him. ” Look here boy I have an important audition tomorrow and you wake me up for a silly birthday!” She shouts at him. Raiden flinches a bit, startled. He looks at her like she had grown two horns.
” Stop looking at me like I’m mad!” Brianna snaps. ” Don’t you want to find your mate? You always liked the idea of finding your mate under the bright moon.” Raiden says a bit too quietly but Brianna hears him. She pulls the duvet over her face. ” No. I don’t want a mate anymore. I want……” Brianna trails off. Raiden sighs and sits on the bed. ” Sis Ash is dead Okay? And he’ll never come back.” He tells her. Brianna removes the duvet over her face and sits up. Raiden gets closer to her. She leans onto his shoulder.
” What if he was my mate? What? Look Ray I’m being stupid. Ash cheated on me and even got the girl pregnant. 7 months pregnant Ray. He didn’t love me.” Brianna starts to cry. ” And I was the fool. I disrespected mum and dad. No I actually disowned you as my family for him. But what did he do? He broke my heart into pieces. I don’t want my 18th birthday. He always said we would be mates. So I don’t want another mate. Even though he broke me, I still love him so much. I don’t think I can replace him. Actually no body can replace him in my heart. No even my destined mate if there is one.” Brianna wails even more.
Raiden hugs her and brush her hair whilst comforting her. ” Shhhh Look That wasn’t real love. You were 16. Real love starts on your 18th birthday with your mate. I promise you you’d love nobody more than your mate. You’ll even be jealous when his sister touches him. You’d be so possessive and he’ll feel the same about you. He can literally ki|| anyone for you. And if any she wolf upsets you, you’ll find them dead or punished immediately. Mates don’t take risks. They love you whole heartedly.” Raiden explains.
Brianna looks up at him wiping her tears. ” Are you sure?” She asks him. ” An Alpha never lies Brianna.” Raiden cautions her. ” You lied to Amaryllis and told her you love her when just what you wanted was her purity.” Brianna tells him. Raiden’seyes widen. ” How do you know about that?” He asks her. ” Just because I’m nerdy and depressed doesn’t mean I don’t know what’s going on with you.” Brianna utters. Raiden narrows his eyes at her than shakes his head.
” Okay Okay forget about that. Look since you’re an Alpha, your mate would want ypu even more. Even though he wanted power only, he can’t resist the mate bond for too long. He will fall helplessly inlove you Brianna. So don’t go rejecting your mate okay? Even if he’s an omega Okay?” Raiden warns her. Brianna nods. She smiles and pecks him on the cheek. ” Thanks for the pep talk but the so called mate can wait untill after the competition tomorrow Okay? It’s important.” She tells him as he pushes him out of her bed.
” Okay Okay I’m leaving Sis but remember mg words.” Raiden tells her. Brianna settles on the bed and nods at Raiden who’s about to open the door. ” Yes I will. And Ray…” Brianna calls after him as he opens the door. Raiden looks back. ” Happy birthday Twinnie.” She says and closes her eyes. Raiden smiles and walks over to her. ” Happy birthday Twinnie.” He says back as he kisses her forehead. He switches off the lights in her room. He leaves. Brianna gets up and takes out her pandent and opens it.
” Ash Can I really love anyone else besides you?”
