You know, I never liked going to school. I was smart and all but school was never my thing. But here I am carrying Cinderella bridal style to the school clinic. Okay I’m exaggerating a bit but School, for me, is a death wish. I h@ťě it with every fibre of my body. Father had sent me here to find my mate and also protect my so called sister Roxanne. Apparently she’s getting bullied. I mean grow some balls and find the dinwit not send me to school. Ladies and gentlemen I am Darryl Vargas and I will ki|| the person that invented school.
My father is Darren Vargas The Lycan Alpha King of Royal Blue Moon pack. I’m his only biological son but not from his mate but his chosen mate. She died giving birth to my younger brother who is 4 years younger than me. Father started dating Roxanne’s mum, his mate when I was 7. I’ve never liked the lady. Two years later Roxanne was born. I h@ťěd the lady even more when I found out she ki||ed her first daughter. And my slight dislike for my father started there when I found out he was responsible for it. I mean you impregnated the lady, why should she ki|| the child?
” What happened?” The nurse asks me as I lay ‘Cinderella’ on the bed. ” She just fainted. The teacher directed me here.” I told her as I move away so she can do her job. ” Okay Wait outside.” She tells me and I do so. About 10 to 20 minutes later The nurse comes out. ” There’s nothing wrong with her. It’s just shock.” She explains. ” Shock from what?” I blurt out no wanting to. ” Well Amaryllis can be very dramatic. Your face can make her faint due to shock.” The nurse laughs. She leaves. I enter the room where Cinderella is in. She was still unconscious. I confess. I brought this lady here to skip class.
Did my face really make her faint? Than she’s really dramatic. What was her name again? Amaryllis. Nice. Suddenly Roxanne and My beta Iasonas come in. Roxanne quickly shakes Amaryllis. ” Wake up Amara!” She shouts at her and slaps her. Amaryllis groans and opens her eyes. ” Roxy I was in heaven!” Amaryllis snaps. ” Heaven? You ain’t dead.” Roxanne says. ” Yeah I saw two greek Gods. They were so beautiful. Roxanne Heaven is real and I’ve seen it.” Roxanne raises an eyebrow at her friend. Iasonas bursts into laughter and I chuckle. Only than the two girls seem to notice we’re also in the room.
” Darryl, Iasonas What are you two doing here?” Roxanne asks. ” I brought her here.” I tell her. I wave at Amaryllis who her eyes roll back and she faints again. Roxanne rolls her eyes and takes the water on the table and pours Amaryllis with it. She wakes up screaming. ” I can’t swim! Help I’m drowning!” She screams. We all burst into laughter. She glares at Roxanne. ” That’s not very nice Roxy.” She says in a very stern yet tiny voice. Like her mouth. ” Sorry but you have to stop fainting!” Roxanne glares back. Amaryllis huffss and looks at me and Iasonas. She smiles cutely.
” Hi I’m Amaryllis Quinn.” She introduces herself. ” Darryl Vargas.” I introduce myself too. ” Iasonas Atticus. Nice to meet you Baby Lliss.” Iasonas takes her hand and kisses her knuckles. Amaryllis immediately blushes and tries to hide it with her hair. ” You b***h!” Roxanne snaps. ” What? I’m just admiring God’s work.” Amaryllis says back. ” But he’s God himself.” She says signalling at me. Roxanne raises her hand to hit her but something evokes in me and I immediately grab her hand. They 3 look at me shocked. Amaryllis blushes.
Blush queen. I roll my eyes and let go of Roxanne’s hand. Iasonas grabs my wrist and pull me outside. ” What?” I ask him. ” Your eyes turned purple.” He tells me. ” So what?” I ask confused. ” Don’t you know what that means?” He asks. ” No I don’t. Why don’t you just tell me?” I say sarcastically. ” Only one person has purple eyes.” He says looking at me curiously. ” And who is that?” I ask him now curious. ” The Luna protector.” He says and I throw my head back and laugh. ” Don’t laugh. This is serious. I’ve read about it.” Iasonas tells me. ” Iasonas Luna protectors don’t exist. They are just fairytales.” I tell him.
He nods. ” Okay than whats this?” He asks me. I raise an eyebrow. ” What’s what?” I ask. He re – enters Amaryllis’s room and tries to hit her. In a swift moment, I’m already infront of him and my hand on his neck against the wall. Holy s***t. It’s not possible. I remove my hand. ” What’s wrong with you?” Roxanne snaps as she helps Iasonas. ” He’ll live. He’s an Alpha.” I tell her absentmindly forgetting about the human with us. This isn’t possible. I mean I’m the Alpha prince. Alpha of all Alpha’s. How can I merely be a Luna Protector? I might as well be a gamma. This is all absurd and crazy. This human even has an Alpha for a mate.
And I’m never going to get a mate. History has it that Luna Protector don’t like both genders. Their sole mission is to protect the Luna. It’s the only reason they’re alive. I don’t want to be a Luna Protector. I want a mate. I want to get married and have kids. Not that I want it now but I don’t want to die alone. Like mum did. She gave birth to me in the house alone. Father was with his mate. She had gone through labours alone and abandoned. The pain she must have felt. I don’t want that. U don’t want to be alone and abandoned. I want to be loved and being a Luna Protector forbids me from getting it.
” Are you okay?” A tiny voice asks snapping me out of my thoughts. I turn to look at Amaryllis who’s eyes are filled with concern and worry. I want that. Too bad she already got a mate. ” I’m fine. Don’t worry.” I tell her before leaving the room. ” He’s fine Baby Lliss. I promise. Okay I’ll go to him.” I hear Iasonas say. Iasonas is my father’s beta’s son. He was also born at the exact time I was born. That’s why mum was alone. Her bestfriend who was with his mate also gave birth. Father never regarded mum as his Luna so nobody did. They just followed in their Alpha King’s shoes. Craig, my older brother, loathes my father just for that. Why get a chosen mate when you’re gonna abandon her when you find your real mate?
He didn’t love her one bit. My nanny who raised me always told me. Reminded me of my mothers hardship. My nanny was mum’s mother. Nobody knew. Only me, Craig and Ashton, our younger brother. Dad never found out. Talk about not knowing the mother of your kids and wife! Mum was a hybrid but nobody knew. Nanny was hunted so she had to keep her identity a secret. And I’ve never told anyone except for you who’s reading. I hope you also don’t tell anyone. Iasonas places a hand on my shoulder. ” Are you okay?” He asks. I shake my head. ” Okay Just for today. Let’s skip school. I won’t tell your father.” He says and that immediately curves a smile on my face. He sighs loudly.
“I hope I won’t regret this Darryl.”
