Chapter Thirty four
Lucia Sat in her office waiting for Andrew to show up. As soon as Claire left her office, she told her guard to bring Andrew.
She had to do something before Claire gets ahead of her.
The door opened and Andrew walked in giving her a smile. He gave her a warm hug which she returned whole heartedly.
He is her son and his protection is her top priority. She wouldn’t let her hard work go to waste. To everyone she might be cruel and heartless but she did this just to protect him and to mould him into the person she wants him to be.
“You look stunning as always “He said teasing her and she smiled.
The old Andrew never teased her. He never smiled at her with so much love and that’s only because their relationship had been a stiff one but now that she has mould him into someone she wants. He’s changed drastically.
If Claire thinks she can bring back the old Andrew then she is in for a shock. Lucia thought happily.
“I heard that you have been having fun with different models”She said
“A guy has to live his life mom. Having fun is one of them”He replied nonchalantly.
“You can have as much fun just as long as you keep on bringing in money like you have always done”She said
“Have I ever failed you in that part?”He asked
“Just being cautious. What about working at the Sydney branch? Would you like to change environment?” She asked bringing up the reason she had called for him.
“Why do I feel like you want to send me away?”He asked suspicious
“Send you away? Am far from doing that. I just want you try something new. You have been at Singapore after the accident. Don’t you want to change scenery?” She asked.
“No. Am fine here mom and it’s time you stop worrying about me. I still don’t recall anything that happened In the past but am happy the way I am”he returned.
“Are you sure? What if someone you knew from the past shows up or if you recall something and……”
“It will be meaningless. Because it’s all in the past. This is my present and it will be my future. I don’t recall anyone neither have I remembered a thing of what happened in the past that’s only if you tell me which am not interested in. So let’s leave the past in the past and live for the present”
“And as for your offer to leave for Sydney. I will prepare to stay here instead. Don’t worry about me mom.”He added and that put her mind at rest.
“Fine then. Why don’t we go and get lunch. Am starving”Lucia said as she walked out of her office alongside her dearest son.
THE NEXT DAY
Claire took a taxi heading to Bradford hotel. She had been busy looking for accommodation and when she found one it was too late to go back to the Bradford hotel.
So as soon as the sun rise, she left for Bradford hotel. She only had to see Andrew. She had to talk to him and tell him about her and if he doesn’t remember. She would just have to resort to showing him proof.
Luckily for her, her entrance into the hotel wasn’t prevented by the guards. She got to the reception desk and after so much persuasion. She succeeded in getting Andrew’s schedule for the week.
She was going through the schedule when someone called her.
She looked up to see that it was Andrew. Her first instinct was to run into his arms and kiss him endlessly but he would think her crazy because he didn’t recognise her.
“Good morning Mrs. Black.” He greeted as he walk towards her
Judging from the way he greeted her,Lucia haven’t told him anything.
“Morning” She replied.
“I thought you left yesterday”He said
“I wanted to but something is keeping me here”she returned.
“Well then. I hope you get it settled”He said as he turned to leave but she held him back.
“Is your offer for touring the city still available. I mean there is nothing for me to do and since am a tourist, I would like to know more about your country”She said softly
“But am kind of busy now”He said
“Am willing to accompany you to wherever your going. I promise not to Intrude”She said .
“Well then if your sure about following me till am done”He said gesturing to her to follow.

“Let’s rock this party!!!” People in the club yelled out as they danced and drink.
Claire sat at a corner starring at Andrew as he danced on the floor with a red haired girl.
She had thought that he had business appointment to attend. She didn’t expect for his next appointment to be at a club to celebrate his friend birthday.
A blonde moved towards him and he danced with the two girls. Claire could see that those girls were enjoying themselves and he was doing the same.
The Andrew she knew never behaved like this. Seeing the way he is now made her think about her task in bringing back the old Andrew. Will she succeed?
Having that thought In mind, she walked out of the club. It was suffocating and seeing those girls in his arms got her feeling jealous.
She was still deep in thought when two guys walked towards her. She tried to move away but one of them moved towards her putting a knife by her stomach while he whispered
“Come with us or you die here”
Claire was frightened. There was no sign of Andrew and the people thr_@tening her would ki|| her if she tried to make a move.
She began to follow them only for her to hear Andrew calling out her name.
She turned to see him walking out of the club and quickly she yelled out his name alerting him.
On seeing Andrew, they began pulling her to the car which was not that far from them.
Suddenly Claire was freed and the guys pulling her were scrambling into their car to escape.
Claire sat still on the floor still frightened by those men and it wasn’t until Andrew knelt in front of her that she stopped shaking.
“Are you okay?”He asked and she nodded.
“Are you sure?”He asked again and this time she clutched his shirt.
“Am not okay. Am not Okay Andrew”She called as she put her arms around him.
“Who is Andrew?” He asked suddenly.
