CHAPTER THIRTY-FOUR: (Episode 14)
She woke to see Logan staring at her. “How long have you been staring?” She mumbled.
” Long enough, I guess. ” He said with a shrug.
She chuckled, rubbing her eyes. ” You can’t keep staring at me for that long. ”
” Why not? ”
” Because I don’t look good when I wake up. It’s embarrassing. ”
” Who says that? You look more beautiful when on bed. ”
” Says the guy with the muscles. ” She tapped his chest, walking out of the bed. “So, how was your night?”
” Not fine.” He said, sitting up.
” Mm, why? ”
” I couldn’t sleep. ”
“Vampires doesn’t sleep at night, you shouldn’t force yourself to. ”
” At least I’m trying to. ”
” But it’s not working? C’mon babe, it’s a waste of time, okay. ”
” I know but… I can’t sleep without you, you know that. ”
She kept looking at him but said nothing.” Would you mind bathing with me? ” She asked after a while.
” Why would I say no? ”
He jerked her into his arms, as they both made it into the bathroom. From the outside, her laughter could be heard.

Yennifer had called for Skylar. Pretty sure that’s what Skylar had longed wanted, only that she was too busy with her prayers.
Now the question is.. What for?
But the look on Yennifer’s face couldn’t really tell her expression at the moment.
She went to her Yennifer’s chamber only to find her standing at the veranda designed just beside her room.
“You called me, your highness.” Said with a bow.
Turns to her, “yes I did.”
“Is there a problem?”
“Of course not.” She pointed to a seat, “please, have a sit.”
Skylar sat down, but her mind wasn’t fully convinced on Yennifer’s reason for calling her. Like Tina had told her yesterday, the priestess only meditate each time she sees a vision or was sent a message from… Zeus.
What vision has she seen? Is something bad about to happen? Is someone going to die?
Oh, Crystal?
Is that why she had to call just her, because it has to do with Crystal?
“Is Crystal alright?” She asked, concerned.
“Yes, and it’s definitely not about her.”
Skylar sighed a relief sigh. “So?”
” So, I heard of your wedding, how is it going? ”
” Logan’s working on it. But you know what, I’m really not a fan of weddings so I really don’t know how it’s gonna be. ”
Yennifer smiled. ” You don’t have to worry about that. I trust Logan when it comes to things that belongs to him, I know he’s probably thinking something big right now. ”
” I hope so. ” They were silent for a brief moment, then Skylar asked. “I heard you were meditating yesterday, did you see something? Or a message?”
Yennifer knew where Skylar was heading to. She had wanted to tell her that but… gradually. She can’t just go on telling her the whole truth, especially when the same vision keeps showing up again and again.
“I meditate to keep my mind at rest.”
“Tina told me you’re always like that each time you see a message or a vision. Is it a good one? Tell me, I wanna know. Is Logan and I gonna make a happy ending? Are we gonna have a child, like a boy or a girl? How is he gonna look like? How long am I going to live to see them grow? ”
Skylar’s last statement made her calmed, telling her that it wasn’t possible she’s gonna make it in the next few months.
“Yes, you two are gonna have a happy ending and a child too. He’s gonna be great, stronger just like his father. ”
” Am I going to watch them grow? Am I going to become a grandma some day? ” She asked, almost excited at what Yennifer had told her.
“Of course you are. Isn’t that what you want?”
“I’m going to become a mother soon? Oh, I can’t even stop imagining how I’ll be by then. ”
” I’m so happy for you. What about Crystal? ”
” She left. ”
” Why? ”
” Has some amends to work on, actually with her parents. ”
” Is she gonna come back? ”
” She promised me, so she definitely will. I’ll just have to wait. Is she gonna be alright? ”
” I believe so. Don’t you think Crystal’s keeping something from you? ”
” No, she won’t. Crystal never keeps things from me, only if it’s too personal to tell. And I’m not thinking of letting her spitting it out. ”
” I hope so. ”
” Why do you say that at the first place? Do you think she really is keeping something from me? ”
” I don’t think so. Just that she had to leave so sudden like she isn’t comfortable here anymore. Or like she’s scared of something or… Someone. ”
” Someone? ” She repeated. ” Why would she be scared of anyone? ”
” I don’t know either. But don’t you think there’s only one person she could probably be scared of? ”
She thought long, she finally said. ” Logan? I… I don’t get it. She doesn’t even know he’s a vampire yet. Or has someone else told her? ”
” Or maybe, she’s seen what he is. ”

And that scar on Crystal’s face didn’t come to picture in her mind.

Skylar’s mind wasn’t at rest. Of all reasons why would Crystal be scared of Logan? Is that another part she wasn’t telling her about?
Is that why she had to be so in a heist to leave?

Still in thoughts, that she didn’t notice Logan walk in. He held her shoulders, “what’s wrong?” He asked in a whisper.
She shooked her head, sighing. ” Nothing. ”
” You remember my preparation with sir Neil?”
“Yeah. Isn’t that the one to do with king Darius? ”
” Yes. It’s tomorrow. ”
” Isn’t that so soon? I thought you said it would be next week, why tomorrow? ”
” It’s complicated. ”
” What about our wedding? That’s in three days time, remember? ”
” Even if meeting with Darius is gonna take the whole year, I’m not sharing our day with anyone. So, don’t worry about our wedding, leave it to me. Okay? ”
She nodded.
” Babe, ” she called. ” I wanna ask you something.”
“Okay.”
“Have you met with Crystal before? ”
